@belabela You obviously didn't read the post. The man is not her husband, but a boyfriend, and they have an open relationship, according to Brian's FB status. And the police DID ask him for I.D., which he provided.

@FoolsGold Thank you,@Brenda55 . I was out eating dinner with my family and got spammed by this fool...ugh...what is it even that they are trying to prove? That all white men are just using black women? Seriously...what a joke. I'm sorry (not sorry) but the majority of black men are not treating black women like prized roses. The hypocrisy is epic. Classic abuser tactics. These folks are sick, sick, sick.

@kiki100 @Christelyn Huh? Why would you say that? I'm talking about culture and value systems surrounded and perpetuated by individuals and groups. Not EVERY white guy has a band of skinhead relatives. Not every black guy thinks it's okay to impregnante the world, not every Latino man is colorist and has colorist family members. But if you encounter these INDIVIDUALS who live, celebrate, and perpetuate this negative value systems, then yes you should stay away.

Why is this so hard to grasp? I mean, I'm not trying to be nasty, but to me it seems so simple and folks are making it unnecessarily complicated.

Let it be known that I have absolutely NO PROBLEM with rejecting a group of people based on the negative culture that surrounds them. For example, if you're dating a white guy but he's related to a band of practicing skinheads, or the black guy who seems nice but his best friend has 34 children by 17 women and he sees absolutely NO problem with that, or the Latin man who's hiding you because his hermanos won't like your dark skin, are all NEGATIVE CULTURAL TRAITS that should be rejected. See where I'm going?

@docwatson223 @GoldenPrecious I have had the misfortune to encounter these men myself, and I can co-sign 100%. While the PUA's and manophere is a pretty diseased bunch, they're out to score tail, but not have 500 babies by 499 women. I think that a big cultural difference between black men who spread their seed all over creation with no regard to the children they might leave behind, while these men seem to be almost hyper vigilant not to have kids.

@Statuesque @Christelyn The best process to follow is for this woman to recognize abusive characteristics in people regardless of color. If you think white men aren't capable of beating the hell out of you simply by "grace" of skin tone, I really don't know where I can go from there. Again, I'm not trying to force this woman to overcome her fears to immersive therapy.

3 days, 9 hours ago on QOTW: “Am I Wrong to EXPLICITLY Exclude Black Men from My Dating Pool?”

@Statuesque @Christelyn People connect over physical preferences every day. Some men like blonds. Other like big women or skinny women. Many white men who date black women prefer them to be very dark. It happens. It just IS.

The remedy to her situation FIRST is to reject the qualities and characteristics of abusive people so she doesn't seek her father in another race of man. Domestic violence abusers have no attributable color. Because of her psychological trauma, it is VERY likely that she would seek characteristics that remind her of her father regardless of the man's race.

Once that is dealt with, the goal is to surround yourself with quality people. People in my social circle are all quality individuals of every racial spectrum. If a quality black man happens to be in her circle who treats her well and she's attracted to, why not date him? If theres a white guys who meets that criteria, why not date him too?

Okay let me ask this question. What if this young girl married a man JUST like her father, except for one thing: He was white. Would that be a better choice? This is a child who a product of an abusive home. Abuse victims often unconsciously seek out partners that remind them of the parent who inflicted the abuse, in order to resolve internal conflicts. It's often not done on purpose, but it happens OFTEN. Would you guys be OKAY with this young girl marrying a white guy just like her dad, just because he was white???

I'm going to update this blog post but I'm also need to make a statement to clarify bigotry vs. preference based on features or shared values:

In regards to the latest video question of the week: I'm kind of disappointed that so many people believe that I should give this woman permission to be a bigot. Listen, we black women don't want to be judged with sweeping generalizations like, "black women are all fat, loud, uncouth, fight-ready, etc" but we won't reciprocate in kind? Really? Again, this question is not about having a preference because she doesn't. She doesn't even mention men of a another race as being more attractive to her. Her issues are with what she perceives and thus is attaching all characteristics to one race of men. Her issues is the CULTURE OF RACHETRY often present and pervasive in the black community. She is repelled by that, and so am I. I would NEVER advise a woman to force herself to find the least rotten apple in a barrel full of decomposing fruit. YOU SHOULD KNOW ME BETTER THAN THAT.

If PREFERENCE is based on physical features that you like, or CULTURAL attributes like you VALUE: e.g. strong sense of family, marriage within wedlock, whatever, that is much different that attributing characteristics to men of a certain race. Listen: ALL WHITE MEN ARE NOT HONORABLE. ALL BLACK MEN ARE NOT RAY-RAY. Behind the scenes, the producer of the reality series I'm starring in, "Swirlr," is a black man, married to a BLACK WOMAN, who understands that challenges black women face in the dating world. Do you get where I'm going with this?

No one (especially me) is trying to MAKE the letter writer date black men if she doesn't want to. My advice has been, and WILL ALWAYS BE, CHARACTER ABOVE COLOR.

How can you expect me to give an O.K. to be a bigot when one of the many purposes of my mission is to display black women to the world as quality mates?!

@Cindyhaha Hi Cindy. Most men of all races prefer fit women. It's actually a survival instinct. Both sexes size up the other to gauge whether or not either specimen is prime reproductive material. That's not to say all shapes and sizes can't connect, because I've seen it. But as a general rule, you'll have a lot more prospects when you're fit and of a healthy weight.

"So…yes I saw the unfortunate video clip of Solange Knowles taking out 400 years of slavery on Jay Z’s already unfortunate-looking face. Beyonce said a prayer to twitter and now they’re all friends again. Ummmkay. Me thinks Beyonce should put little sister on body guard duty. We still don’t know what the fight was about, but seeing Hov get attacked like a cat, terrified for a bath, attaches itself to your face and scratched with blind fury is worth 2, maybe 3 pops of popcorn on the drama-meter."

Again...the piece was in the context of news we didn't cover because it was RATCHET. Please read for nuance and comprehension.
