@johnnyb3910  If you don't mind I'll pass. I just stick with fried chicken, surf and turf, mashed potatoes and good single malt scotch. At least I have something to look forward to and something to live for.

Funny you should mention Petr Nedved Kevin. I remember when Nedved tried out in 2008. IMO he had the best camp among all the Rangers forwards and still did not make the team. I was upset at the time even today, I think the Rangers made a mistake not signing him. He still had a couple of good years left in him and he would have been an asset on the team struggling to score goals. But it is all water over the dam and we have a lot tolook forward tothis year. It should be an exciting season full of optimism.

@ObviouslyItsANewSeason  You are absolutely correct. The cost of living in New York City is out of this world. I ran a cost of living comparison between cities to find out if I could afford to move back to the NY area and the website  I used based it on $50,000 grand a year. If I lived in Charleston SC, ON 50 grand where I now live, I would need to earn 116.450 dollars in New York just to live comparably. Obviously having been retired, I'm staying in South Carolina and follow  my beloved Rangers and Giants on Direct TV's sport packages. But I will be visiting the North East as often as I can.

I wouldn't' get too excited, after all the guy have yet to play even an exhibition game in the NHL. We could wind up with another Gilroy who was a Hoby Baker winner, not a runner up. I'll wait with my comment until at least the  end of the season.

@leftwingbarbara @rangermom @ObviouslyWeHadAGoodRun I agree with you on the best city in the world but the best team? get real Barbara, the Rangers are not even close. They're well behind the Kings, The Ducks, Sharks, Chicago, Pittsburgh and Boston just to name a few. I wish I could agree with you because I love the Rangers and I've been rooting for them for 50 years but I'm a realist.

It  takes a man to admit that he was wrong, so don't fret over it Kevin, we do not think less of you because of it. Every one does make mistakes sometime, I felt the same about Nash but the other way around. I thought he would be great and look what happened.

I think that there is a lot of wishful thinking going on here. Is it possible that maybe, just maybe Leetch doesn't like the job and he is in the financial position that he doesn't have to work at something he's not comfortable doing? Let's not let your imagination run wild Kevin.

Kevin, You mean bringing in a stud like Gilmore? LOL. I have a hard time believing that a college player have a chance to become a top 6 forward on an NHL team ( even on a team like Florida.) in his first year out of college.

Your spot on, I rather have a player who's getting 5 mills and can produce in the playoffs then have one who is paid 7.8 and stink up the ice for the last two years in the playoffs. ( hint, his initials are RN.)

@bmurphy6832 I'll reserve judgment until we're well into the season. Games played on the ice, not on paper.

@Josh-CK I agree with you for the most part but you are wrong in your assessment of  Boyle vs. Strahlman. Boyle is a 39 year old man who struggled last year and he was just a shell of his former self, while Strahlman  was getting better as the season went by and IMO he will get even better as time goes on. They should have signed Strahlman and stayed away from Boyle and the coming season will prove me right.

@SmellyKisio  IMO. Girardi should not wear an A. I keep thinking of him standing by while Carcillo was beating the crap out of Gaborik. I can never forgive him for that. Strip the letter off him and give it to St Louis with McDonaugh as the C.

The guy Is my hero! I just wish every player had the same attitude when it comes to loyalty toward their clubs. I predict that Zucc will be the fans favored in the Garden next year. He will be mine for sure.

@Bring back Langdon  Fat fingers, I can relate to that. LOL. Look, I hope I'm wrong but to me, the guy just haven't showed enough in the playoffs to warrant the 7.8 million a year he is paid. For that kind of money the guy should play like a beast and he has not. Also, for the guy 6'4shuld be playing much more physical then he does, he should at least play like Pouliot played in the playoffs make his presence felt along the boards and in the corners. I realize that he had a concussion and he is gun shy but there are other players who had the same injury and managed to overcome it, like Staal, Crosby to name a couple.

Let's hope that he'll manage to put up better numbers in future playoffs but if he doesn't then I'm afraid we'll have another Gomes on our hands.

@Bring back Langdon @scrangersfan @ObviouslyWeHadAGoodRun You are incorrect, Nash had 26 goals last year not 36 and we all know how bad he stunk in the playoffs. IMO. the guy is just not mentally though and I'll be surprised if he'll change in the future, but I hope I'm wrong.
