I think I'd rather have Caldwell-Pope over Muhammad.
@TheresABabyFaceUnderMyBeard @neo12 @Daniel Hawaii @duhsweetness 6-6 crazy athleticism, (some of his dunks remind me of Russ at UCLA), and he can shoot the rock. With Reggie, Caldwell-Pope, Lamb at the 1, 2, 3 our bench would be lethal in 2 years.
@duhsweetness@Daniel HawaiiDude can shoot and he had a good combine.
ESPN May 15 Update: Caldwell-Pope is flying up draft boards, and the combine could easily become his coming-out party. He's a terrific shooter and an explosive athlete -- those two traits typically look great together in the combine setting. The stat guys already love him. If he shows well at the combine, he could secure his place as a lottery pick in this year's draft.
I'm tired of taking project big men. I'd rather we get someone who can contribute right away. We need more scoring punch off the bench. I'd rather grab McCollum, Shabazz or Caldwell-Pope... whichever is available (at least 1 of them will be).
@neo12 @tygablood I've seen this movie before with the Sonics/Thunder and it never ends well.
Praying for all my friends at Daily Thunder. Hoping everyone is safe tonight.
@bmuelle22 @Daniel Hawaii @Old Man Game @Fezzy @elginthunder Oops, you guys are right. Too bad, he would've made a nice pick at 29 or 32.
@Old Man Game @Fezzy @elginthunder I like Doug McDermott out of Creighton at 29. He's a pure shooter. Reminds me of Kyle Korver.
@MostJadedGamer Even if we amnesty Perkins and don't re-sign Martin, we'd still be around $58 million in salary. The cap will be around $60 million and we'd still have to sign our first 2 draft picks, so there wouldn't be enough cap room to go after someone like Al Jefferson.
@Old Man Game It's hard to be excited knowing Scott Brooks probably won't play whoever we select until 2015.
@Legendary_Dork @Daniel Hawaii Actually the $66 million is without Maynor. And of course we will also need $3 million more to sign our 2 first round picks this year, so we are going to be at around $69 million and that's wuthout re-signing K-Mart or signing a free agent to the MLE. We are going to be awfully close to luxury tax territory.
@okcjim What exactly is his "specialty?" I thought it was defending players in the low post, but after watching him get dominated by Randolph and Gasol, I'm not sure I know what Perk's really good for anymore.
According to HoopsHype, we are at $66 million in salary next season. Even if we amnesty Perk, that still puts us at $58 million. The salary cap will probably be at $60 million, so it seems like pretty much the only free agent we could sign would be someone who would accept the mid-level exception. So we need to stop dreaming about Al Jefferson, Pekovic, or anyone like that. Hate to say it, but K-Mart might actually be the best option since we can go over the cap to re-sign our own free agents.

Believe it or not, I now want the Heat to win it all. I don't want any team in the West winning it, and thinking they are the favorite next year. I also don't want Indiana to win it because then everyone will jump on their bandwagon as the new "hot" young team. I'd rather just the Heat win it again and we stomp their bid for a 3-peat next year.
@tygablood Presti needs to add more offense to this roster. Beyond KD and Russ, tell me where we can find some offense on this team (assuming K-Mart isn't back). That's my main worry.
@Royce Young @TheFix82 He could've put Kevin Martin in the Starting 5 to give the offense more punch to start the 1st and 3rd quarters. He could've tried Thabeet on Marc Gasol more. It seemed to work for the short time Thabeet guarded him. He could've played Perkins even less. He could've tried putting in Jeremy Lamb since this team was starved for offense. 2 straight years, we go out of the playoffs with 4 straight losses, with the coach making no adjustments or lineup changes is simply unacceptable.
@mattchant @Old Man Game CJ McCollum. We need more offense.
Why wouldn't you drive to the basket and dish it to Collison like you've been doing this whole 4th quarter!!!
