@ThunderChick2010 I know I haven't been an active poster TC, but I'm definitely always here!  =)

Great series! Didn't think we'd win after horrible Game 5, but The Oklahoman headline finally lit a fire under KD's ass, Russ starting shooting less and passing more and the rest is history.

Scott Brooks saved his job by making some crucial adjustments. I didn't think he was capable of it, but I guess even he knew if he didn't try something, his job was in jeopardy.

Caron Butler starting is huge for our title chase. Our starting lineup has been flawed for years now. Perk + Thabo is like playing 3 vs 5 on offense. Memphis wouldn't even guard them so they could load up on KD and Russ. Add someone who can make shots to the starting lineup and, shocker, everything opens up. Unlike Thabo, Butler is a threat the D must respect. He was great on D too, face-guarding Mike Miller most of the night and holding him to 3 points. He played 41 mins. I think Brooks has a new crush.

I can't believe we wasted all this time with Thabo as the starting SG in conjunction with Perk as the starting center. And then when Thabo went down, Andre Roberson was the starter. Makes no sense to not have a spot up shooter start alongside KD and Russ. For some reason, Brooks always insisted on starting the 1st and 3rd quarters playing 3 vs. 5 on offense.

Thabo can still have value though. I think he should come off the bench against the Clippers and have one job: defend Jamal Crawford.

Playing Steven Adams over Nick in Games 6 and 7 was another great move. Adams provides defense, toughness, shot-blocking and he irritates opponents. He needs to play more.

D-Fish needs to play less.

All in all, Brooks' willingness to make lineup adjustments in Games 6 and 7 is the single greatest thing that came out of this Memphis series for me, and if he continues to be flexible, it bodes well for the rest of our playoff run.

@Legendary_Dork @ThunderChick2010 I just saw the vid as well!  Tremendous job TC!!! Thanks for including me even though I am 5,000 miles away. Daily Thunder is definitely my home away from home.

Happy 5th birthday Daily Thunder! I've been visiting every day for nearly those 5 years and Royce, you've really done a wonderful job adding fresh new content every day on this site. There's no other place I go to get my Thunder news. It's also fun reading all the comments from this great Daily Thunder community.

Let's hope Russ comes back strong, because earlier this season, when we were fully healthy, I truly felt like we were going to win the title this year. I can't say I've ever definitively felt that in the past 5 years. With a healthy Russ, this could be our year. Thunder Up!

I'm trying to decide what's worse... losing out on Mike Miller to a Western Conference rival that badly needed a shooter, or knowing that we're going to trot out 49 year old Derek Fisher. What a bad day.

Steven Adams played a nice little game. Andre Roberson is quietly having himself a nice little week. Dwight Buycks is a nice little player. Steven, Andre and Dwight all agree that Royce Young is a nice little writer.

Actually, never mind. It could work. That's 15 right there unless I'm forgetting somebody.

I wonder what happens to Daniel Orton now. Will the Thunder really carry 4 centers on the roster? I doubt it. Sucks because I really like Orton.

A shooter. Hallelujah. Maybe he can turn into a Ryan Anderson/Matt Bonner/Steve Novak type. That would be great.

@Grolgar We already lost an entire year of Lamb and PJIII.

@Watson @Daniel Hawaii @Old Man Game He's 6-7. It will be a lot harder for an undersized 4 to rebound with the big boys in the NBA.

This draft has gone about as badly as I could've possibly imagined. So disappointed. Not a single one of these players will help us for at least 3 years and by then, they'll be forgotten about, i.e. Tibor Pleiss.

Why do the Sonics/Thunder always draft the tall, stiff white guy who needs "a few years" of seasoning. Don't they know guys like that never become anything more than a backup center. Someone name me a "project" center who has turned into a sold starter so that I can feel a little better.
