I'm all for these changes too and agree they should have been made before. Hopefully it's not too late. I still want to believe it's not over.

The mental part is huge for a goalie. First Halak was once asked to play for the Lokomotiv, if he had accepted, he would have been in that plane. Second Pavol Demitra was the captain of the Slovakian national team and his friend. They participated in charity events together during last summer in Slovakia and probably trained together. I think that the mental anguish of that tragedy played heavily on Halak's mental state of mind and it became hard to concentrate on hockey. Then you give up a couple of bad goals, you lose a couple of game and its the confidence that goes down. That's how it impacted him IMO.

I'll always maintain my theory that the tragedy of Lokomotiv played a big role on Halak bad start. If you remember he started to get back on his feet precisely at the game the Blues paid tribute to Demitra / Korolev as if the ceremony had finally allowed him to find peace with it.
Halak is now the one he should have been since the beginning of the season, a great goalie.
FAIL - definately.
Hard to believe that : 1st - A communicator proposed this slogan and 2nd - The administration accepted it... I'm sorry but there nothing positive to say about this slogan in a marketing/communication point of view.
I just don't get it... I mean... you don't beg your fans to keep rooting for you ! What's that !?!
If they really wanted to play the «Believing» card... The simple word Believe would have been a little better.
Guess that just as David said, the marketing department has been either lazy or/and simply out of ideas. Or another hypothesis, maybe a RedWings fan is working in the Blues marketing department.
Flat, no creativity at all...
A total disappointment.
That said I will never stop believing. Let's go Blues !

To me, there's no reason to answer no. I'm really confident Blues are going to make the playoffs this year.
The talent was there last season but if injuries weren't an excuse, it was certainly an explanation for not making it. They played a lot of games as the St. Louis Rivermen instead of the St. Louis Blues.
This year, the team made great additions, they brought experience, leadership. We have a great roster and we're still gonna have quality NHL players to cover up some injuries.
