@ginidietrich @Kristinesimpson It is because you guys are awesome and kind :)
I couldn't agree more Gini! I am really trying hard not to hide my achievements. However, I still feel nervous when sharing my successes, always afraid to come off as a know-it-all. So I have found a happy medium. When I share my successes, I do it with the intention to help the person I am speaking to. For example, if they express their frustrations with podcasting, I am not shy to announce that I run a very successful podcast and would love to help them set up their own podcast. I get to slide in a comment about my successes, offer help and even create a new relationship. It is a win-win-win :)
And for all the women who respond to this post - you are all awesome!

I hope I can be remembered for being a communicator who used her communications skills to bring about change and help my community, like the work I do for the Impaired Speed Skating Association of Canada.

I hope I am not too late. I would LOVE to be an ambassador! You can have a slot on Young PR Pros during Crush It Week :)

I am about to jump to the corporate side and know that the disconnect between marketing and communications may arise. Hopefully the departments are already talking. But I look forward to talking to the marketers about native advertising.

I agree with the majority of the comments below. If the email can be found online and is public, then technically, Adams didn't post a "private email address" he posted a "public email address".
Am I the only one that feels NBC is using the whole "private email address" as an excuse because Adams was fairly vocal about his opinion on their reporting of the Olympics? Whether you believe someone should be tweeting negative comments online or not, we all have freedom of speech, including Adams.
So... I say this is a case of censorship!

@MolliMegasko @TheJackB It is too bad we are getting that label. All we can do to fight it is work hard and do our best and prove them wrong.
Oh and start a podcast to help our generation follow suit!
@HowieG @KenMueller @belllindsay Haha I am excited and nervous to be a part of this community now. So many emotions!

Thanks @belllindsay !! Your post was so sweet and encouraging.
@lisa Gerber It is offically a city, but feels like a town. I loved the campus and water front. I can't say I saw more than my little university campus bubble, but I did do a drive around to visit all the jails. Kingston has 8 jails, 2 universities and 1 college. So we are all a bunch of students and ex-cons!
@martinwaxman @ginidietrich HAHA nice plug! ;)
@Tinu Thanks Tinu! I am taking lots of deap breaths everytime I see "50 new emails" - all new followers through Twitter!
@Anthony_Rodriguez The next one comes out Monday and it extra special... because it is Gini's word.
@TheJackB Nice to meet you too!
@ginidietrich@Lisa Gerber HAHA I will definitely read a post about "douchecanoe"!
@Bruno Pierre Gebarski Thanks for checking me out! I will have to visit Hamburg one day... because Gini says so :)
@deleted_91832_Sean McGinnis I can live with that reason :) Oh and happy birthday!
@David_Hall Thanks David... I can't take all the credit, you were one of my teachers :) AND the one who started me on social media.
@Lisa Gerber Yes! "Douchecanoe" is perfect, it is a PR word, right?! Gini uses it, so it must be a PR word.
And funny note about that picture. It is taken on a very cold fall day on the water front in.... Kingston Ontario. MY old stomping grounds when I was a student at Queen's University.
@jasonkonopinski Nice to meet you too!
@KenMueller@ginidietrich HAHA that comment made my morning... that and being profiled on Spin Sucks :)
@keithbloemendaal You have accomplished so much in your morning! Thanks for checking me out :)
Jay, starting a podcast is a great idea. Podcasting is an under utilized tool by communications professionals. It is so easy to start and keep one going. My only suggestion, as I am also in the process of starting my own podcast, get a co-host. It will help keep yourself accountable and never miss an episode.
I will definitely tune in to your podcast when it is up and running!

What about capitalization? Some people our obsessed with capitalizing everything that may sound important. Your position title is not capitalized, only proper nouns and titles are capitalized. The only titles that are capitalized are: Pope, President (of a country), Queen, Prime Minister, Mayor, etc.
Right @sherrilynne !
