@cybrook (formerly boli34) You can be a good coach and still make bad decisions.
2 days, 3 hours ago on Hawks make it 15, closing out the Thunder, 103-93
@Lost Ones Would you like me to just go ahead and ban you so as to break your odd addiction of coming back here despite hating anything I say?
@Lost Ones Phil Jackson won 11 titles with three of the greatest players in NBA history. Kind of how it works.
2 days, 13 hours ago on Scott Brooks is a good coach
@Sustainable Parameters @Im happy reggie wasnt traded That is something Scotty could help himself with. He doesn't *sound* very basketball intelligent, at least not in the times we hear him.
@_justin That's an excellent point. Look who Pop had alongside him for 17 years (Budenholzer).
@RMark50c You didn't make it past the third paragraph I see.
@RazvanThunder (#DionWaitersFaction) Mrs. DT would kill me if I said Pepsi. (Her extended family is in the Coke business.)
But for me, it's actually neither. DDP 4 lyfe.

@Tankmode Uh, nobody sees practice. They keep that completely locked down. We get a little glimpse when the players are shooting free throws or playing one-on-one or something.
5 days, 8 hours ago on Let’s ARA: Ask Royce Anything
@Tankmode @Royce Young It definitely might.
@skunkfunk Erm, let's say a healthy amount.
@Jax Raging Bile Duct I'm so banning myself.
@rednuht That's a great question. I think a lot of circumstances have changed the way Presti views that. There's no point in acquiring all these assets if you're not going to have a place for them on the floor. But then again, if you can flip them for more valuable resources, then weren't they worth it after all?
@Tankmode Did he? I don't think I've seen him at any games or practices. But good for him if he did.
@f5alcon I would. But I like writing it! It's just in choosing whether to relieve my lovely wife of her duties with a child, or spend two hours cranking that out, I often chose the former.
@SeinfeldOKC I believe it's supposed to be, "Imagen sienfeld still on TV"
@Ihaveonequestion Here's my answer to that (though I don't know if anyone will even see it):
I think that in some cases, writers take the bait from fans to be critical of the team. The emotional sector of the fanbase can be loud, so if you pander to them and write something about how Brooks has lost the team, you gain credibility on that side of things showing that you're willing to TAKE THE TOUGH POSITION.
But then again, that kind of stuff can get you in hot water not just with the team, but everyone if it doesn't play out the way your hot take said it would. That's one of the big reasons I do my best not to overreact night to night. There's often a temptation for me to yell at the team just like everyone else does, but that kind of stuff can come back to bite me in the ass. Not just with the team, but fans too.
So my position is to genuinely write what I think. Don't play up a storyline for clicks, no matter how tempting that may be. Just stick to what you know, and what you think.
In the specific case of Russ, Berry was obviously trying to ask him what his deal was. His "are you upset?" was really, "Why the hell are you acting this way?" Things can get contentious sometimes between different people, especially when you have a player like Russ that seems to even take compliments like a personal attack. I don't think the OKC media has been overly critical, but I do think there is a forest-for-the-trees issue here, that sometimes the big picture gets ignored as everyone lives and dies by the last thing they just saw.
@f5alcon @Royce Young Oh! Old School Bagel. Awesome. I've ate at the one in Norman. Great stuff.

@cemitten Quick summary of it: A little six-pointer literally snuck up UNDER my treestand. And then he saw me when I reached for my rifle and ran. So I shot six times and missed him as he darted through the brush.
5 days, 11 hours ago on Let’s ARA: Ask Royce Anything
@propsizzle @Royce Young Not that easy. They don't hand them out to anyone. Need to be part of a legit outlet.
5 days, 12 hours ago on Let’s ARA: Ask Royce Anything
@cemitten I shot and missed at two this year! The second one was a crazy story though. And yeah, public land. But that's where the Youngs have hunted for 65 years now.
@Ihaveonequestion This is a great question that requires a longer, nuanced answer. I'll come back to it.
@f5alcon Eek. Doubtful. I like writing.
@L0rv I like some better than others, sure. I like the people that prefer to talk basketball more than take cheap shots or troll.
@Durants Shimmy Hug Kevin Durant every time I see him.
@Funaki Faction I'm working on that hopefully. Time management has become an unforeseen issue for me this season. I'm trying not to work myself to death to where I hate words.
@FunakiEjectsAnother [#StartLambFaction] @Mrs. Daily Thunder Pro tip: Take LOOOOOOONNNG poops when you go to their house.
Okay, I'll try and circle back and answer more of these later, but we're landing now and the wifi is getting cut. Thanks everyone for the questions and lets do it again sometime.
@Grolgar He'd probably still be right where he's at.
@L0rv What do you think I'm going to say?
@Biologist I don't think so!
@ Hanzi Great execution.
@Meh.. I think something I've learned the past few years is to get out of the way on questions. I'm not there to inflate my own self importance or prove I'm Captain Basketball Knowledge. I'm there to get good answers. I know sometimes fans want players or coaches to be HELD ACCOUNTABLE, but it's a give and take between maintaining relationships and not burning bridges to ask some silly question.
I think most reporters ask questions that they feel won't make them sound stupid in front of everyone else. But really, sometimes the stupidest questions get the best responses. And again, that's what we're there to get.
@L0rv Warriors would be ridiculous fun, but I'd rather save that for the WCF. I'll say Rockets would be some intense stuff. And good games. And I think the Thunder would beat them.
@ASternlicht35 Texting Presti now
@Durants Shimmy Have I yet?
I would say a few years ago when a certain player told me he read everything I wrote it made me feel pretty good. Because yeah, getting paid to do it as a job was a pretty big step.
@Joventude7 OKC doesn't want Lance Stephenson. I don't know why anyone thinks they would.
@anonymous12345 @Royce Young Well now I am.
@Chandler Bing. @Royce Young I think he's going to be pretty good, but I'd like to see more than five games before deciding.
@propsizzle They all do a great job, but I have so much to read on a daily basis that I don't check them as much as I'd like to.
@Meh.. For sure. Remember, those two guys are both 21!
@OKC035 I think they're trying to spare Durant playing heavy minutes at the 4. But I think you'll see more smallball with Ibaka at the 5 as the season goes on.
@Brob785 Don't really see what Thad Young adds. If OKC's playing small, Durant is the best option at the 4.
@Johnny Thunder Definitely! It still kind of blows me away, honestly.
@Durants Shimmy They seem to enjoy him.
@N0tres @Royce Young @Mrs. Daily Thunder Celebrate her ninth anniversary of her 21st birthday.
@Rumbles Bison Balls Miss the playoffs and I think it's a real discussions. After that I think he'll be judged on the situation and performance of the team.
@OBoy (LaFamilia) Prop Joe, no question. He can be GOT.
@Durants Shimmy Hahaha, no I definitely do not. I check from time to time to try and get a feel for where the current temperature of the team is and the talking points, but I don't like being influenced. And it's hard not to be. It's easy to feel obligated to pander instead of writing what you really think.
@Durant The Meerkat @Royce Young Not answering this.
@NZ_Salmon KD's is better.
