The NCAA is biased when it comes to protecting the "elite" brand names.

1. Was it a missed call ..... YES, but the problem is there is a referee right there.

2. Was punishment warranted - like suspension on the next game ......YES.

Kind of like THE Ohio State University and  Tatoo gate - the NCAA allowed OSU players to play against ARK in the Sugar Bowl with the Bravo Sierra that suspensions and punishment would be allocated the following year.   The networks got the ratings, NCAA got the cash - then they went "noble" on THE OSU.

The Bama player should have been ejected.  End of story.  Bama was the best team in the nation last year....End of Story.   Our defense could not hold an 11 point lead twice against the Tide.... end of story.  Maybe we should have rotated our DL to prepare for Bamas running attack (350 rushing yards most in 2nd half .... end of Story.   We should have grounded the ball with 12 seconds left......End of story.  Could go on and on.

Bottom line - not one play determined the outcome of this great game . We could play "What IF" all day long.  Bottom line - UGA and TIDE left it all out on the field and the Tide won the game.  Congrats to Nick Saban, staff and team.  UGA needs to learn how to win those games....... End of Story.

Guess we will find out how tough Clemson is in a few months.

I agree with you, our stadium is otside. We will play hot days, rainy days, and cold nights. Florida does not have an indoor facility either.

Lastly, and repeating post from yesterday......... how is that impressive indoor facility working out for GT? ............... anyone? ...............anyone? ........... Bueller?

Sorry guys, fat fingers on my tablet.

Uniforms - I like our scheme, but would not mind it if we incorporate the black jersys as part of the scheme...... maybe everyone home night game against Auburn or every last home game moving forward.

Entry Music - I love classic rock, butit's time to shelve The Who for something else.

Lastly, over/under of new Commits by end of June. I will start off the conversation and say we will have 3 commits by yhe end of the month.

Lets get back to work!

I have to say that Clemson, USCe, LSU and FL are all 50/50 games at this point due to unknowns and the fact we are dealing with inexperienced defense in a complicated scheme.

Alsi, throw in the Tennessee game right after LSU and you got a potential upset alert with this game.

The Bama blogger is correct when he states that UGA has an epic fail game at least once a year.

Now, with all that said, it's our turn to catch lightening in a bottle.

UGA goes undefeated, wins the Sec And beats the living tar out of Ohio State in the NT game causing Urban Meyer to cry in the locker room and Timmy Tebow to vow he will never allow an Urban Meyer team to take such a beatng again and volunteer his divinely inspired leadership in a tearful speech to the devastated Butteye nation.

Just my take:)

Like your thinking and hope you are accurate. I think Spurrier has our number and they have recruited and developed talent and depth to replace those that have moved on.

Sould be a barn burner and the difference in the game will come down to two things:

1. UGA's defense.

2. Jedevon Clowney!

While losing Rogers to Clemson stung, we have great depth at LB.

Landing another stud RB like Chubb would be huge. As we witnessed in 2011, you can never have enough RBs.

As important, really getting excited at the quality and depth of DL/DE we are in play for...... not to mention the 4 or 5 OL prospects that are favoring UGA. This could be just an outstanding class.

Lastly, thanks to BRB for all you do for this site.

Wow, just got in and see the news on Rogers. Reading this blog had me convinced he wasall Dawg. Clemson is kicking our butt this year with our in state like Bama came in last year ang got who they wanted.Oh well, this opens up opportunities to another deserving kid. Just hate seeing great in state talent that we target and desire committ to another school. This one hurts because we lost to Clemson and the ACC.One last rant, anytime one of our players gets suspended it reflects poorly on our program. The One

Continued........We now park any where we can find downtown. Eat on the way in or at the Athens grill.

Now, I have converted a screened in porch to the "Man Porch", complete with large deck, heating and air, awesome furniture and large flat screen. I sleep in, fire up the grill, watch game day, call my Vol buddies and discuss their margin of loss for their game that day. Watch the Dawgs and have a great dinner and watch more football versus being stuck on 316 or paying for a hotel somewhere.

I guess my time as a season ticket holder has come and gone.......but man, was my time asa ticket holder sweet.

Living in Chattanooga area, we now try to make one home game a year.

Like a post below eluded, it is more of a hassle experience than past years. Limited parking, lack of tailgate areas, etc. really changed the experience. We used to arrive early and park near legion pool, tailgate before and after the game. Would meet my two brothers, kids and various droppers by. This is now a reserved area for those willing to pay a higher dollar

We took the family to this game. Seeing those iconic Nebraska uniforms and helmets was great fun. Beating Nebraska in those iconic uniforms and helmets......priceless. Will say this, I thought their fans were excellent in that they traveled well, rooted hard for their team, and the left the game without making excuses.

Repeating a comment below..... I am somewhat bullish on our team this year. However, it seems that we lay an egg every year. Look out for Tennessee after LSU. Florida is going to be tough and Spurrier has our number. He is just a better coach.

With that said, I think our defense will come through. Don't think we go undefeated, and until we beat Alabam, then they need to be rated as favorites. But still Bullish as you can feel the momentum this program has going for it.

Wow! Just opened my tablet and reading about Matthew Thomas and FSU

1. If I am Jimbo Fisher, I definitely go visit the family for a heart to heart. Part of growing up is to make decision and live up to commitments.

2. At the end of the day, I would not want someone in my program that did not want to be there. Big decision time. If released, would do so with zero stipulations on where he ends up. Life is too short. Besides that, after sitting out a year, this will be yesterdays news.

3. The fact that thiIs situation is getting serious press coverage is bad news for FSU.

G4 - AR, LSU, MO, TAMU

3. Each team will keep a perm. Opponent from another group, and alternate perm. Opponent from yet another group.

- example - UGA will keep AUB and then play KY when G1 plays G3.

4. Each group will play another gruop either for a home and home (2year rotation) or 1 year rotation so all teams play each other within 3 years.

5. Sec title game selected by group play. Example, winner of G1 playi G2 will play winner of G3, G4.

This keeps 8 game schedule and a way to cleanly define 2 teams for sec title game.

Here is a concept I read that makes sense:

1. Expand conference to 16 team (for the sake of this post presume VT &NCST.

2.Divide conference into 4 groups:

- G1 - FL, GA, SC, NCST

- G2 - TN, KY, VDY, VT

- G3 - AL, AU, MSU, OM
