3 months ago on Yeezy’s First Sneaker With adidas Will Be a Limited Release
The people that took the time to comment obviously do...
Because it was mentioned several times by West and others that one of the reasons why he left Nike was because of how limited they made the shoes? Because of what they did to several sneaker boutiques that wanted to carry the Yeezy's? So the point of him jumping ship was so that they would not be so limited.
Where did you see a picture of them?
@Amarefan1 I agree with you and it's one of the few statements in this article I'm not in agreement with. I remember going back and forth with some dude over the Gamma blue 11's because he just couldn't seem to comprehend some people just don't like a shoe because of a CW or particular design. Has nothing to do with not liking it because it makes a person look cool.
Not sure why it's hard for some people to understand that others just have a strong sense of individuality and don't need to wear what everyone else is wearing. To me it's actually a huge turn off.

I didn't get the Claret's but was able to cop these and just got my SNS notification this morning they've shipped.

@Just_A_Person You say nothing against dude but then say "Worst one yet"? I guess it would have just been too much to say something positive.
Everyone was once a rookie Eddie including you.
@James_bondo Nice collection my dude.
@SneakerAutoBot.com ahhh...lol. Ok fam. hopefully you were able to cop. Picked up the Grand Anse myself. Dope shoe

@SneakerAutoBot.com All of them? Damn son that's a lot of heat for one man lol.
@TeamLateef @HugoazulYes I think I got that but then what happens when the reseller or person is at the mall trying to score pairs in store with his crew or elsewhere? He can't cop because all it did is add the size but it can't verify the picture. I mean you guys do understand how Captchas work right?

I agree with this entire list hands down. You guys nailed it. ESPECIALLY with the elephant print. Nike just please stop already.
9 months, 2 weeks ago on The Good, the Bad & the Ugly
@Hugoazul Not really. The purpose of a bot allows the users to not be at their computer. Your logic suggests that they would be there, in front the computer which would mean they're in the same boat as the rest of us. I guess only time will tell.
@ZzMystaBest suggestion I've heard yet.

@joneswerks @MissCartoonFace @BryanBateman- Actually... 1. It's already been proven psychologically and scientifically that women are more supportive of a man after weight gain. 2. Men by nature are more prone to want a trophy wife(disgusting term) than a woman a stud husband. 3. A woman would prefer security, laughter and a good father/man over looks on any given day.Yes nice guys do win.
Let me know if you have any more comments based on fabricated beliefs and urban legends. It's my off day so I have a lot of time on my hands.

@sinchesterjenkins Exactly. KD might be a popular dude with many fans but his shoes not so much. I love KD shoes and can't hate on anybody because it's their taste and money but definitely hypebeast journalism on the part of KOF. Like posted above many models/versions of KD's can be found for lower than retail and many outlets and regular stores.

@YellowingSucks @Cajhds17 Can't figure out if Nicekicks now deletes comments that agree with the sensibility of others or something is wrong with livefyre? YellowingSucks you make a beyond sensible point and one I'd personally like to see Nike address. If the shoe is that limited then it's not to help little kids it's to help further the Jordan brand and just more clever marketing disguised as "good will" to those less fortunate or suffering.

@YellowingSucks @Cajhds17 Could not have been put any better YellowingSucks. Amen to that!
@HelpOnTheWay23 I wish I had seen your comment 4 days ago. Respectfully sir you missed the point and for my own good I should tone down the cynicism. I'll try and clarify it for you. Also missed is that my issue here is with a failed banner ad on the part of Champs, who pays for THEIR media buy via their advertising or digital agency and does not in any way reflect on KOF.
When I interact with the CTA(Call To Action)"Roll Over To Expand" The banner in no way, shape or form tells me these shoes are exclusive to an in store purchase. It simply says they are exclusive to Champs. Really? Is that online, in store or both? The article fails at giving this detail as well. A common error in modern Journalism. So I click on an item, go to the Champs website and then after not finding the items have to deduce that the item may be an in store item only.
I'm not sure what you do for a living but part of my work involves auditing the user experience of websites. That in translation means I look at sites and create reports for them on how their users can have better experiences using them. Thank you.

@23tayala06 Glad to hear you got them. While the 4's are one of my fav Jordan's ever I to also have not been really excited by some of the releases once I saw them in person or got them. Regardless congrats once again and have a great week! :D

@louie V Thanks Lou. I really appreciate your thoughtful comment. You're really a deep and insightful guy always dropping knowledge for the 212, 818 and 305.
"in here responded to everyone like you are mr. Sneaker head 2013" - LMFAO. ROTFL. Lou you are absolutely hilarious and while I'd like to keep up this game of back and forth I'm going to spend the rest of my afternoon in Ableton Live making things happen. Thx for the fun times and don't forget to send a postcard.
@Deseuro Good point. You might be right that writing letters of complaints may have some impact but it seems to me that many companies may act more readily if it's affecting profits. I tend to be a dreamer though so again you are probably right that 250,000 sneakerheads won't stop buying shoes for a year.
@louie V Should they be Jordan sandals or do you recommend something else entirely?
@Dwill34 "make people glued to Nikes twitter page" their digital marketing team wouldn't have a problem with that. Matter of fact they might even throw a party.
@BostonDon Thx. You make some valid points as well. I think it does start with the community and those like KOF which are one of the many marketing arms or angles for these companies. While I won't pay a certain price for a sneaker no matter how limited there are 100+ more people willing to take my place in line or play the game and continue the cycle.
Someone asked a relevant question once which was will sneakers ever hit that point of becoming just too overpriced like other collectibles?
@louie V - literature isn't for everyone Lou so no worries. I already know nicekicks but thanks for the link and suggestion.
@J Shat Yes, I agree limited is a very good thing. My suggestion was for the person that originally wrote the email that complained about the limited packs and problems around it and others that may feel the same.
My latest hobby goes a step further into personal customization of the shoe and avoids these issues and topics all together so personally I really don't care. When you see my customs I'll be the only one with them.
As for department stores I got a pair of Puma's 2yrs ago I had on my must cop list for $40 at a department store. When they were originally released they cost $95. Let me know if you'd like the link to which department store it was :D
So many good points made in this articles response to that email I wouldn't even know where to start. Actually I lied. I know exactly where I want to start.
Blame - don't blame a site for your behavior. No site is making you buy a raffle ticket or feed the hype or be exuberant prices for a shoe. To say that's preposterous is an understatement. How is it that someone at Reddit or elsewhere can rally enough people to sign a petition to stop bills on the floor of the Senate or Congress but a sneakerhead community can't stop a company from practices it sees unfair? Social media changes companies behavior by calling them out every single day but the problem in the sneakerhead community is that ya'll jump on KOF or elsewhere and gripe then jump in your whip to go camp out at your local store or buy some raffle tickets or use other means to cop a shoe you were just complaining about.
You're telling Nike "please keep doing this, we'll complain a little or write an angry email to a website but we'll still fall in line or cop that shoe by whatever methods you dictate to us". I've never seen a more fragmented "community" in my life who wants things to change but can't get a singular voice or movement to do it. Stop the flip flopping if you want to see change.
Think - Imagine if 250,000 sneakerheads refused to buy shoes from Nike for an entire year and demanded that Nike stop the limited release fiasco(or whatever your SINGULAR demand was) so everyone could get in on the action. 250,000 sneakerheads X the avg cost of a sneaker, maybe $180 = $45,000,000.00 in lost profits. That's in Millions. You think Nike wouldn't get the msg? You do know they have a board of directors and trade publicly right? You even know what that means in terms of the power you really have? Probably not.
@aheroamongmen No they won't because as the article pointed out and rightfully so then they'll want the next pair the weekend after and then the next weekend after that. Some sneakerheads or human nature runs common themes regardless of the demographic. Enough is really never enough. They got to have them all.
@juwan310 Agreed. They look too blazer/converseish for me. Now that Nike owns Converse I wonder if the designers are sitting too close to each other? jk

@poorjon @MrDMONEY3000 Correct. Most of the bigger replica sites will have these weeks, sometimes a month before the official release but as to where you're seeing them more expensive than the original will be priced for that could only be hypebeasts and sleazy reseller working their magic on eBay. On the rep sites the price usually makes you wonder what the hell type of quality you would be getting. They also won't have the fixes suggested by users and will have several flaws. The "sneaker game" is all FU. smh...
