@codrutc @steveb19  Only a blind relative would give Brown a good grade on pass blocking===he only slows down a rusher by making him jump over him.  Really bad, but leads the league running out of bounds and nobody fails on 3rd and one, like Brown #31.

Kyle, I know you think that if you say it enough that 3rd-and1 Brown will become a good back---even though every coach he has had, decided his blazing speed does not overcome timid style--and put many physical backs, with less speed in front of him.  Put him on your fantasy team.  Brown is not tough enough--to  risk Luck.     Come on man give it up.

Great News, Luck is on track, what a talent and tough.   Werner showed up!  Cleary needs to play.  Brown also had a great game, of course I am talking about the New York running back, but our Brown looked at his best during the interception return.  Look at this play, a Giant turns to set a block against Brown who is chasing the play, and Brown veers to the sideline to avoid being blocked, typical.  Even Kyle, Brown's brother, will have a hard time defending his brother.

Brown has maligned himself by being too hesitant hitting the line, and trying to outrun contact.  He has been twice benched because rookies outplayed him,and shows off great speed, by running side to side.  We will not even discuss him being soo fragile, which is hard to fathom with his lack blocking--Yea we need him?

1 year, 8 months ago on Colts Building a Dynamic Running Attack | October

Our running game was more consistent Sunday because Ballard and Carter are better every down backs than Brown.  Brown has more speed but that is his only advantage-blocking, tough running inside, injury prone, could not run over an empty box have been legacy.  He is not an every down back--needs space and a fullback.  Glad to see these other backs proving their power.  We can use them all then maybe Luck will not have an empty backfield on 3rd and short.

1 year, 9 months ago on Colts With a Run Game: What? | Articles

One of the more telling clues of how weak our run game is the third and short formation that we use either with a back at Luck's  side for blocking -or empty backfield.  Carter seems to be very tenative now, thinking maybe he will be banished if he ever fumbles again.  But this was his first action after being hurt and punished for fumbling-He certainly has shown more power and strength than Brown.  Brown's speed is suited well for the open field or running with a fullback like last year,  sure is not very durable-maybe that is why he cannot block a wind.  Hope Ballard can show more-it was his first.
