@Impressive Math Towel @James Loney Apologist Turner has a better track record at 3B, but Guerrero is no Yasmany Tomas.

@mawp @TellMyWifeISaidHello @The Dude Abides Strictly on talent, yes. But insert durability into the equation, and Pence is up there with Tulo and Cargo.

@mawp Durability matters, I guess. On talent, top 7 in any order:

Posey

Puig

Goldschmidt

Tulo

Cargo

Kemp/Upton

But if you add durability to the equation, Pence is pretty close to 4-10, IMO (even though he's out for awhile).

@mawp @The Dude Abides @Mike Petriello @Lobo Under Ned, we inserted Scott Elbert on a postseason roster after he had pitched four innings over the past 2 1/2 seasons and used him in a tie playoff game in the late innings.

@Mike Petriello @Lobo Under Ned, we carried Mark Sweeney, Garret Anderson, Mark Loretta, Chris Perez, Paul Maholm, and an injured Brian Wilson for entire seasons (well, Anderson was cut after about 120 games or so).

Nice breakdown - maybe he's been added to the list in a late edit, but I don't see Grant Holmes listed with the Loons.

I think Arry and Seager will be switched.

I'm hoping DeLeon and Rhame start in AA.

Can't argue with anything else - looks really accurate.

Man, we have great depth in position players at AAA and pitching at both AAA and AA.

@Mike Petriello So bad he can't make Milwaukee's pen, and yet Ned kept him on the Dodgers for the entire previous season because he had closing experience.

I sure hope he doesn't break camp with the team. I'd much rather have Wieland make the start. He could be added to the 25-man when League goes to the 60-day DL. They also need to add Santos to the 40-man. We already had Huff last year (in the guise of Paul Maholm), and that didn't work out too well.

@Math Space Cat @The Dude Abides I had to wash my windshield twice at the Love's truck stop on I-5 several miles north of the junction with Hwy 152 last Saturday, once on the way to Elk Grove and the second time on the way back. It's spring time and the bugs are plentiful.

If the tear is well below the 20% threshold, he might be able to get a PRP injection, then start a strengthening program in OKC. He could be the DH in AAA during this period, then start playing 3B once the ligament is better.

@Purple Drank @The Dude Abides @ABSmileBunch SSS each season, but there is a definite trend. And by the eye test, he sure looked lost a lot against LHP in 2014. Both Friedman and Zaidi like platoons. I'm not saying that there will be a strict platoon at 1B this season, but I do think that SVS will get more starts at 1B against lefty starters this season than he did last season, and the reasons will be the presence of Guerrero and the front office being cognizant of A-Gon's downward trend.

@ABSmileBunch @The Dude Abides At least 173 PAs in 2014 (4 HR), at least 196 PAs in 2013 (4 HR), and at least 243 PAs in 2012 (6 HR).

@ABSmileBunch @The Dude Abides Don't know how to break down the LHP between starters and relievers. Against all LHP in 2014, it was .588.

Last three seasons there is a possible downtrend vs lefties:

2012 - .846

2013 - .747

2014 - .588

This front office is more likely than the previous one to pay attention to this issue re A-Gon, IMO.
