Dont know if it the years of chest pains and Ranger induced anxiety that produces my cynicism. I keep waiting for the let down, waiting for the tying goal that comes in the last ten seconds(against us) , waiting for the implosion I know is coming. However, up front I can tell this team is now different. It is almost scary to say, but this team has what it takes. Lets go Rangers. Yeah, how about the looks from the fourth line tonight. Unbelievable.

From what I understand, he had a leg injury last season that hampered his game even after he came back from it. So, his stock fell hard. Looks solid, and could be the steal.

Saw the replay of the Kreider goal numerous times, to me, it looks like more than a tip in. His stick was lifted, but it looks like a shot attempt. Beautiful play..........

Nah, he face planted into the boards, really hard I might add, towards the end of the game. Tried o watch it on the re-run of the game, but did not see it again. He went for a check, and face first into the boards he went. Did not look pretty.

Yeah, and how much of the team is the same as last year? No team in the playoffs right now has had as much tunover in players as the Rangers have. Look where we are now. Some teams added key players, but we swapped out several key players on this team, and we are gutting out wins. I love how everyone knows how Torts is but have never stepped foot in the locker room, let alone day in, day out for a season.  So ourPP sucks. Our  5 v5 is very good.

Yep. Puck was going into open net. Stopped by Richards.... isn't bad enough he is not scoring?

What I want to know is, where was our answer to the hit on Clowe by Chimera? Then he takes a run at Stralman, no answer? Then he runs Moore and Asham, no answer? This is playoff hockey, and we have no team toughness. Chimera was the game changer, intimidation. Same thing Ottawa did last season against us. Same thing Ottawa did against Montreal, and same thing the Caps just did to us. Not one person stepped up to Chimera. Not one. Then we play intimidated. Like Medvjed below, game or no game, make him answer ......

Along with all the comments here(ie. if Nash can start scoring), what about J. Moore. He is growing before our eyes. Same with Brassard. About Nash, it is not hurting us, because Ovi is doing crap also. Team confidence and momentum has a huge impact. I disagree with a few posters that said the Rangers did not play well the first two periods. I guess I was watching a different game? Now, let's talk about puck luck. If we had more, we would easily have had 3 more goals. Cally's shot through the crease and the corner bar (so close) , and the one Stepan shot that Holtby just caught with his inside left leg. If we can keep the confidence and momentum going we will be ok. Remember the first two games could have gone either way, no matter how we played. LGR!, the roller coaster continues........ Oh yeah, I forgot, Boyle sucks, Asham sucks, and fireTorts......

I was never a big fan of Zucc, although I saw he had great vision, he did not put it all together. Whatever he has done, he has put it all together. He really has a fire inside of him. I was at the Ranger / Panther game the other day, and he was the only Ranger who came to play. It seemed like he was getting triple shifted. Pucks are starting to go his way and in the net also. He is really battling along the boards and in the corners. The way he is playing, his lack of size makes no difference. MUST sign. I agree with everything else. If we can get secondary scoring, we can win it, especially with Hank. We must show up though.

@Betweentheworlds  @ivanricov  @tygalpin  @GraigGiuliani@Betweentheworlds @ivanricov @tygalpin @GraigGiuliani We have a bunch of players who will be fighting for a spot the next few years. I dont think we will miss the picks as much as you think. This is coming from someone who at first did not like the picks for Clowe, but after thinking about it, we have excess players the next few years.

Speaking of Boo!!! " Christoval "Boo" Nieves of the Michigan Wolverines was named the Gongshow Rookie of the Month for February. Nieves outscored every other freshman in the country during February and is Michigan's leading scorer. The Ranger's 2012 2nd round pick had points in 5 of the 6 games that Michigan played in February. "

@Herman_NYRBlog @Beckfan5 Funny, as Boyle has about the same amount of hits as Cally. Boyle is 7th in the NHL in the hit department, followed by Cally. Just saying.

Could Torts be Ghost Al Rafidain? Yes, the have to develop chemistry on th ice, and that takes time. Not one line remains the same since last year. It may not matter in a pick-up game, but at the NHL level, it does. Team systems take time to learn, and obviously, they have not had much practice time. Basically, all four forward lines have been dismantled and rebuilt. They will find their stride, it will be in time, no worries.

Could not get it unlocked, I tried.(Direct tv and work for big agency). Flipping through the channels, I saw we get MSG network, hah. Anybody coming near that tv tonight is getting seriously F'd up! LGR!!! Welcome back all and as always, thanks Kevin, for keeping us well informed through all this. Keep up the great work.

looks like the players made a decent move here, yet the owners do not want to counter? These are negotiations. Give and take. This just sucks.

Sorry for typo/grammar. I know both sides have responsibility in this mess, but I side with the working man.(Empathize more with players.)

For those of you who say you do not sypathise with the players, basically because they make more than you playing hockey, think about this. Think about there are  about 650 people out of 312 million who have the skills in the US. Even then, lets say there are approximately 3,000 hockey players with the skill to keep up in the NHL. What is that worth? As a commodity, what is it worth? The players are setting their worth, unfortunately, it is not exactly an open market, supply / demand. Then the owners throw big money at the top players, sign contracts, then try to renege on the contracts. That is not fair practice. Lets say you are in the top 650 in th US in your field, you definitely would get paid much more. No offense genetics, but if you were in the top 650 of research scientists, you would be making millions.( I actually know one).

With all that, aplayer with a million dollar contract gets far less than a million dollars a year. Remember that is pretax and pre-agent money. After both, they are probably only bringing home less than 600 thou. on a million salary. Just my 2 cents.

Kevin," It's about giving my thoughts on the greatest team in the greatest team sport. It's not always going to be a Rangers lovefest and you're not always going to agree. But just know everything I write is from the heart and my passion for this team."  Love it. Keep it up. I myself think MDZ can be a player who rises to the next level, he just needs to mature some and put some hard work in.(I don't know about his work ethic, if he does or does not work hard.) He could be a game changer when he puts everything together, if he does put everything together. O also will never forget when he laid out Neil during the playoffs. He definitely earned some respect points there. LGR!! Hope we have a season to root for.................

Hypothetically speaking,  like my scenario. Get it? Read the above article, I was using the ten fight limit, duh.

Scenario............ I am a valuable role player to my team and I just had my tenth fight. It is the playoffs and I am puting up some importat points. Other team obviously knows I have ten fights, so they send somebody out to fight me. Knowing I will get a two game suspension, do I sit there and get pummeled, or do I fight back? As a fighter, does that split second it takes me to make that decision get me hurt? If I hold on and not fight back, will these great refs not call me for fighting?
