The Floppers are one of the cheapest teams in the NBA and every time i watch them play, especially CP and Crawford, they do a great job of reassuring that for me. They flop anytime they can when a player is around them, im just glad that last nights game did not end on some cheap "flop" play and that it was won fair and square by the Clips. However, i enjoyed Boogie absolutely destroying Blake and Jordan, that was worth it for me even if they ended up losing, which is not really a surprise to be quite honest. And boogie can be boogie, he gets shots fired his way every time; OJ Mayo calling him mentally retarded.. LOL and all the other players. But that's what makes Boogie unique and im cool with that. He wants to win and loves his teammates and that's never a bad thing. Boogie keeps getting better and better and haters like CP are just salty that they have a bunch of talent on their teams and wont ever have a clipper banner hanging from the rafters in staples center lol, that's why they covered all the Laker ones lol.

Can you not understand for once that its all in the GM's hands and that its obvious Malone is just obeying orders. For f**k sake. Open your eyes, Jimmer's gone. If you want to make a difference, try not putting that much effort into your posts by bashing Sacramento but go start a #FreeJimmer campaign, you seem to have a lot of time on your hands and not enough things in real life to care about.

@TABDOG @Dima2k At this point and time i think its pretty obvious Jimmer is not in the hands of coach Malone anymore but rather listening to what Kings management is telling him to do, which may or may not be to play Jimmer. I dont know whats going on but we can sort of tell that Jimmer is on his way out and its just a matter of time. HINT* why Malone put everyone else in EXCEPT Jimmer. You really think Malone has some kind of beef with Jimmer or some kind of vendetta against him? Highly doubt it. He's just doing what he is told too.

11 months, 1 week ago on So you want to coach the Sacramento Kings?

Reply

The kings are in a tough spot no doubt. Good coaches with lengthy resumes are either taken by good teams already or arnt interested in coaching the kings. Then you have guys like Malone, who are working up the ladder, take the opportunity and take the coaching job. Its unfair to blame the coaches over and over and over again, because as you can tell, its a similar and repetitive situation no matter how many new coaches we hire. I think its time we settle with a coach and let him go through the "good and the bad" with the players, that way they grow as a team together, and not as individuals. I like Malone and can see how hard hes trying, but effort has to come willingly from the players, the coach should not be the one in charge of forcing it out of players whether they want to or not. A player must understand that a coach is only a coach and are the ones blamed if the players perform poorly and its not fair to the coaches. The team really needs to step up, we need some trades, we need another big to help cousins, have to stop playing like one-on-one ball like an AAU team and start passing the ball to open players rather trying to force something on your own. There's a lot of work that is needed with this team, but like James mentioned, "Rome wasn't built in a day.."

@KDsmooth @Dima2k I agree with you 100% man but this has been discussed before. Many agree that some type of trade is a few days/weeks from happening and it seems like Malone wants nothing to do with Jimmer and him being in the lineup because it does look pretty bad when you have players like Ndaiye (spell) playing 15+min tonight and Jimmer had zero.

It not a matter of if he's going to get traded anymore, its when. Sad to see him go because i was super excited when we drafted him but who i am i too say anything, just a fan at the end of the day..

Even without Jimmer, kings need to make some major moves in their lineup if they want to win games and stop playing like a high school AAU team ffs. Look at the Memphis tonight, it just surprised me how unselfish they play, its amazing, i guess im just not use to seeing that from the kings and im amazed when other teams do it lol.

@Cowbb The fact that they are "trying to find the right pieces that play together" and did not give Jimmer a single minute tonight is a strong indication that he is on his way out very soon since they have or want no part of him in the possible lineups that work. What would be really sad is if they keep him benched and trade him around the deadline.. that would be just plain wrong, you're playing with the kid now, let him go to another team. Its obvious that he wont be around for long but have the decency to send him off sooner and not later.

Cant necessarily predict that off of one player in the NBA. What about all those "college sensations" that made it to the NBA but did not get too far? One name... Adam Morrison. One of the most popular players in the nation in 2005-2006 averaging around 28ppg in college. In no sense am i saying Jimmer will turn out like Morrison, because he's already made it further then that, but you gotta look both ways before crossing the road.

@silverdog Even that, im pretty sure kings will be getting a top 7 pick this draft again, if not higher, and there's a huge amount of talent in this draft year. I'll admit, sometimes we forget that its an entertainment business and focus and get caught up on different aspects, starting to make it personal and technical and all that BS..Guilty!.. lets face it, kings wont be a championship contender anytime soon so whats the point of benching players like Jimmer and rarely giving him any minutes... Let the man play, he has a huge fan base and is not a bad player, sure he makes some bad decisions but so does every other player in the NBA, they are humans believe it or not and there is no point of having someone like Jimmer sit on the sidelines all game when the team itself is playing terrible, could argue otherwise if the kings were like 7-0 but damn, they are no where near that. Let him play, i mean ffs Travis outlaw gets minutes and i cringe every time i watch him.. Again, well said man.

I literally cringe in fear every time JT has the ball in his hands and starts to dribble... and i know for a fact that im not the only one doing so. idk.. hes just been struggling sooo much and Patterson is not doing any good either starting.. I cant wait for Carl Landry to get back that's for sure. Hes a solid player who can actually score unlike JT smh.. There's a lot of problems with the current team and it looks like we are well on our way to another 20-60 season.. we'll see how all this plays out and am very curious as to the

@mjmill @Dima2k Many can pick out certain instance when the player did do good and act as if all 82 games could have been played that way.

Im glad you asked about the struggle. Here we go..

For starters, he has struggled with his shot. During the time he actually plays in the game, MOST of the time hes been very bad.  He commits most of his turnovers in pick-and-roll situations, where Fredette loses the ball 14.8 percent of the time. Fredette has been such an ineffective pick-and-roll ball handler because he doesn’t put much pressure on defenses when he uses ball screens. In college, Fredette was a pretty good playmaker. Defenses frequently chose to double-team him to limit his scoring, and that opened passing lanes for Fredette to find his open teammates. NBA defenders are a big step up from the Mountain West Conference, and Fredette doesn't attract double teams like he used to. Instead, Fredette has to create his own passing lanes against one-on-one defenders, and he hasn't yet shown an ability to break down his man and open up the floor. Fredette lacks the athletic ability to finish over help defenders. Last season stats, Fredette played 11 percent of the Kings’ total shooting guard minutes, and opposing players average 26.3 points per 48 minutes against him there. Since he hasn’t been making up for his defense by scoring effectively, there’s no reason to have Fredette on the court.

Fredette’s pick-and-roll defense is a glaring issue. He was such an overwhelming scorer in college that his teams rarely asked him to commit to defense, so Fredette hasn’t learned good habits. Usually, he is also a step slower and a couple inches shorter than the players he guards, and Fredette’s attempts to make up for his athletic deficiencies leads to poor defensive technique. Fredette also struggles when trying to stop other guards one-on-one on the perimeter. Opposing teams know this, and they attack him with quick ball handlers.

When players isolate against Fredette they are looking to exploit his lack of athletic ability. So far in his career, he hasn’t been quick enough to stay in front of his man on a consistent basis. It hasn’t only been lightning-quick guys like Roddy Beaubois who blow by Fredette; it’s been fast but not exceptionally speedy guards like George Hill. That's why Fredette can’t guard NBA shooting guards. Most of them are good enough shooters that you can't give them an extra step as a cushion, but that’s the only way Fredette can hope to stay in front of them. His best hope on defense is to play off his man and hope he misses a long jumper. That’s not good defense.

When Fredette comes off screens away from the ball, he averages just 0.636 points per possession. That puts him in the bottom 20 percent of all NBA players. He’s shooting 16.7 percent and committing turnovers 27.3 percent of the time. Since Fredette is a great shooter, people might expect him to be a better offensive threat when he works off screens. But moving with the ball and shooting the ball are two separate talents. Getting open off screens requires a lot of technique, and Fredette doesn't really understand the art of moving without the ball yet. When Fredette moves without the ball, he runs in straight lines, rarely changes his pace, and almost never creates contact with his defender. This allows his defenders to "lock and trail" him, so when Fredette receives a pass the defense is already smothering him. With the defense too close for a catch-and-shoot, Fredette is forced to create a shot using his dribble. Once that happens, the defense has already won — they’ve forced Fredette away from his strength, which is shooting, and right back to his weakness, which is creating his own shot with the dribble.

I can go more in depth but its not worth it, especially if a blinded Jimmer fan just refuses to believe this.

@SSSDMC15 @Dima2k @silverdog Did not make any claims, all speculation.. Im far from a professional when it comes to this. I love jimmer and was super excited when he was drafted. I was mad at first when Jimmer had limited minutes and did blame Westphal for that. But the inevitable hit me that he would remain benched for the remainder of the season, especially with the rise of I. Thomas. Once they acquired Greivis Vásquez i knew it was over for Jimmer.

I may have come across as someone who has hatred towards Jimmer but its more towards his fans. After reading stupid and pointless fanboy comments, i was done.

The main point everyone seems to miss is "its business" its not a personal thing or vendetta they have against Jimmer, just plain business. The fans take it out of context and make it personal and emotional..
