@CavesofAltamira He isn't a big hit amongst the New England Elites. Or the New England rednecks, for that matter.
Once again - the party of personal responsibility is unable to take any.
@Wild Willy @dintofinley @austin-dave If I have anything to say about it, that will absolutely be true.
Huh. I'm a 56 year old white woman who is wearing a black hoodie at this very moment. Strangely, I don't feel endangered at all.
@Frederick Courtright Your use of that particular term speaks volumes, Freddie.
@Buck Turgidson Jr So, appointing a FAR RIGHT Conservative to a cabinet post is how the "game is played." Can you name all of the liberals appointed to Bush's cabinet, as part of the "game being played?"
@Chesire I guess sitting around defending Obama is all the heavy lifting you want to bother with. Unsurprising.
@SandyBerman Just a thought. If you're trying to win people over to your POV, you're probably not going about it the right way. Sneering, snarkiness, and accusation doesn't sway me into believing that a vote for Obama is something I should consider.
@workforcecomplex Oh, let's not forget that he nominated far right wing NH Senator Judd Gregg (now with Goldman Sachs) to be his Sec. of Commerce. Mercifully, Gregg turned him down.
@SandyBerman I don't know anybody that thinks that. The people I know worked hard to protect Social Security when Obama was talking about cutting it. The people I know worked hard to protect LIHEAP - but he cut it anyhow. The people I know work hard to fight against the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, the drone bombing of numerous other countries, and the outrageous offense budget. Oh - don't bother to thank us for the work we've done or at least tried to do.
As hard as we work - we get slammed by Obama - who is at best a very tepid Democrat, and more of a moderate Republican - and by the defenders of the indefensible. What you're really saying is, "shut up about global military imperialism. Shut up about that $1 billion mostly secret prison we're building in Afghanistan while roads, bridges, and schools in the US fall further into disrepair."
The absolute party loyalists make no room for criticism. All criticism to them is whining. Obama referred to writers like me as "the professional left." What you seem to be displaying is "the professional partisan knee jerk."
To recap: it's okay to pass laws requiring women to have unnecessary transvaginal ultrasounds - it's just not okay to joke about it.
@closetcommie Itty poo. Imagine how those of us who have ovaries must feel.
It's also worth pointing out that Angus King has long been a supporter of green/alternative energy, and has demonstrated a strong commitment to public education.
Oh, well, thank you Chad Connelly. Praying for Ard will certainly get him right back on track.
@JJRothery You keep saying this. Where is the proof that he intends to move to Washington? Since there isn't any - you're just a liar.
@seccotine Feel free. My uterus and I would have been happy to have Dennis stay in office. He's pro-choice. Marcy Kaptur is NOT.
It's been said that Breitbart died of natural causes. Is shame a natural cause?
@gsj2001 @sullivanst They do not vote identically. Kaptur is anti-choice, and anti-stem cell research.
@whitevalley For those of us who are concerned about the ongoing war against women, Dennis was a staunch ally, and strong supporter of a woman's right to choose. Marcy is anti-abortion and anti-stem cell research. Given the current anti-woman climate, I would have preferred to keep Dennis. Marcy will just help the GOP.
