Seems like a very negative post about a player that is on the roster at Alabama and is a part of the team no matter his status. Calling him a joke sounds like something an aubie should be posting, just my opinion of course, and probably that of the other players and coaches....

speak to any Alabama coach and they will tell you that this kid is still the most talented guy out there.

total BS, he was a first rounder way before the combine and not being able to participate doesn't mean he isn't still a first rounder. The whole idea is ridiculous, many players forego the combine and are healthy, it doesn't push him out of the first but nice try.

The bottom line is that the Media loves making Saban the bad guy. Seems like everyone I knew and spoke with were aware of the grayshirt offers weeks ago, he decided to wait until signing day to address the decision, instead of doing it before hand. This made it look as if he was told he needed to delay enrollment on signing day which wasn't the case at all. He and Taylor have become martyrs but the truth is they are injured and can't play. If they red-shirt, gray-shirt, or just plain enroll, they still won't see the field any faster either way. Kids have unrealistic expectations regarding their readiness to play at the college level, they are in for a rude awakening because they think signing with another school means they will play......nope.

@TonyOrlando Strong is a major understatement. It is almost unheard of to have an entire class this talented to all stick to their commitments on signing day. This class is the best I have ever seen from anyone. The WOW fact is that the 2013 class is already looking to surpass this one, I believe our 2013 class already surpasses aubarns entire 2012 class.....

Cyrus Jones in the house Tiders.....5'11" 180 lbs, recruited as a receiver, return specialist. Plays like Javier Arenas with his quickness and intensity. He is exciting when he is in space and has elite speed and quickness. Jones is a special talent who will be able to compete for playing time when he arrives. He needs to get bigger but is not expected to red-shirt. He is just one of those guys that makes everyone hold their breath when he touches the ball.....it's gonna be fun watching this guy play

Darren Lake is in...I was told by Bama staff that he was the best d-lineman at camp the entire summer and he was UNBLOCKABLE. Another top o-lineman was interviewed and said Lake was the best he had EVER gone against, "so fast and strong, i just couldn't block that dude".....that came from the nations #1 center prospect... Lake is 6'4" 323lbs and naturally talented. Has minimal coaching and training and will be a "blank slate"...no bad habits to correct. He will have the opportunity to compete immediately. He resembles Dareus more than any other prospect

BIG BRANDON HILL is in folks.....6'6" 330 lbs, DJ Fluker clone, he is a monster run blocker, carries weight very well. He is prototypical Saban o-lineman. There is a story on him. He mvoed from a gang infested area of Memphis in 11th grade, he was approached in school by 4 gamg members that were over 20yrs old and didn't even attend the school. they came to jump him, one guy was 6'5" 300lbs as well....word is Hill tried to avoid fighting, they jumped him and he put two of them in the hospital, ambulance came and got them and Brandon walked away with nary a scratch, he didn't press charges. Kid is a great prospect....his life resembles Michael Oher's very much, the guy from the movie The Blind Side

Kurt Frietag is in, 6'4" 235lbs. bigger than Smelley, very physical tight end. Great in run blocking, good hands, lots of upside. He will probably be on special teams immediately as he loves to hit. He is a good prospect as an all around TE, catches the ball well and can hurt you in the pass game.

Go ahead and mark down the early enrollees as signed as they may have a ceremony but they are already on campus and working out at the facilities. Here's a rundown of the guys already enrolled.

Ryan Anderson, LB, 6'3" 255lbs, Ryan will take upshaws place as the opposing QB's worst nightmare almost immediately. He is just miles ahead of other freshmen physically

Amari Cooper, WR, 6'1.5" 185lbs- will compete for playing time immediately, best all around receiver we have recruited in years. Don't expect a red-shirt

TJ Yeldon, RB, 6'1" 195lbs, will learn the ropes in cleanup duty this year, may redshirt, needs to add bulk but is a great prospect

Chris Black, WR, 5'10" 170lbs. great slot receiver and deep threat. was banged up his senior year and needs to add weight but has a chance to play early if he stays healthy.

Dillon Lee, LB, 6'4" 230lbs, Lee is a freak of an athlete and a pure football player. He will be on special teams immediately, has a nose for the ball and making plays. High football IQ. He will likely be a #2 outside LB this year, he is that good. No red-shirt for Lee

Alphonse Taylor, DT, 6'5" 330lbs, yes it says 330lbs, HUGE kid and staff hopes he is another "mount Cody"but he has to improve his motor and get into shape. Will compete for playing time immediately but the transition to college will be tough. I expect a red shirt but you never know.

JUCO's

Travelle Dixon,CB, 6'2" 205lbs, will hopefully replace Dre Kirkpatrick, needs to learn playbook and what Saban expects before he is put in but a JUCO All-American & immediate impact player.

Deion Belue, CB, 6' 190lbs, Belue is an All-American as well and electric kick returner. Will hace a shot to replace Maze returning kicks immediately and is perfect for taking over Menzie's position. Very hard worker and plays big on game day. immediate contributor.

Just My opinion but I would have to say the number one guy defensively is Nico Johnson. He will assume responsibility for the play calling and has been overshadowed to date. He will emerge and surprise many people, he's a great player that will finally get his shot to shine.

And as far as leafership, Robert Lester hasn't had to be the guy with Barron around in the defensive backfield, this year he will be the lone veteran besides Milliner and his experience back there with 2 new JUCO corners and several youngsters will be huge....

Good read Hare, Will be interesting to see which way Norwood goes, does he follow Gibson's path into a career backup role or does he follow Maze's lead and keep progressing.

@Aaron Torres@ShaneAutrey It really is none of my business but for what it's worth. I believe the frustration Aaron is that LSU had phenomenal play from it's secondary all year...EXCEPT in either of the games vs. Alabama. Honey rodent was irrelevant with 3 solo tackles and zero return yards in the first game and Bama didn't turn to the passing game. The Tide's receiving core really wasn't experienced nor were they a big threat to opponents during the year yet LSU couldn't stop them. It is no secret Bama had an average at best receiving core this year and yes, LSU should have had their way with them but they didn't in either game. In your defense, all the self proclaimed experts on ESPN praised Jefferson and LSUs' secondary but they did so with no evidence to back up their assessment because LSU wasn't effective against Alabama in the first game, Bama was a victim of themselves, uncharacteristic mistakes and a conservative gameplan in November, NOT a victim of being beaten by the Tigers secondary. Now if LSU had their way with Bama in the first game it would give a ton of merit to those arguments but they weren't. Everyone ignored Alabama's defense and receivers naming LSU's secondary, special teams and Jefferson as the x-factors in the title game with no evidence to support those claims except in regards to the special teams. We continuously heard people ask how Bama would move the ball and stop Jefferson.....but they moved the ball and stopped him the first game and that's where the frustration for some Tide fans comes in.

The Big ten or whatever it is just suffered through a horrible season, making the Wolverines record misleading. They beat Clemson yes but how did Clemson finish off the year? This Tide offense loses Trent but will upgrade every other position on the entire squad in 2012, the defense has new faces, faces that are perfectly suited to contain Robinson who is Michigan's entire offense..............As far as Arky, Well, there's always next year.......every year.

Nice spotlight Heather, My favorite part about Vinnie, isn't necessarily what he did on the field, well, sort of. What I love is the fact that the recruiting services out there who prove every single year that they use a very flawed system of evaluation, Had Vinnie rated a three star prospect despite being MVP his junior and senior years at two different schools. Everyone clamors over the so called % stars, and who is the freshman MVP of a class loaded with 5 star players? A three star player named Vinnie.
