@John at MrSEC
Nice response sir and maybe I came on a little strong. I earned a Journalism Degree from one of WVU's branches. I am proud of how hard they work to run a $22 million a year athletic merchandising business with less than two million people in the state. It's not easy to operate without the benefit of big cities. Some of the fans on this site were pretty hard on WVU back when they were trying to get in the SEC, especially on their academics. Really, their record is pretty impressive. The Big 12 ran an impressive list of their accomplishments on their website.. I am glad to hear you like WVU though,. The only person who spoke up for us was John Adams.Many WVU fans took it as Mr. SEC was against WVU's SEC's petition because it was a second-rate school. Many fans took it hard when they did not get in the SEC because of their huge fan base in the south. They would fill up LP stadium if Vandy did not sell one ticket. Well, again, it may have turned out for the best because on demographics it looks like WVU is a better fit for the Big 12 because it is so rural, well expect for Dallas. Thanks MR, SEC from a rabid WVU fan and alumni.

Once again. Mr. SEC takes a shot at WVU. The national media has stated the Big 12 improved themselves vastly as they picked up three top 75 television markets (#24 Pittsburgh) (#9 Washington DC) and #64 Charleston Huntington. I fail to understand with the huge amounts of fans WVU has in the South (Charlotte, Atlanta, Nashville and Florida) why Mr. SEC has so many issues with them. Three quick thoughts: 1. Did SEC fans check out the Orange Bowl score, 2. Did SEC fans know WVU has been to the final four twice and 3. Do SEC fans know WVU is full of Rhodes Scholars, Truman Scholars and garners millions in research each year. They know it in Dallas and we are proud to be in the Big 12 as we found a family. Please Mr, SEC wish WVU the best as we do your conference.
@KansasBig12Pride @mitchs3 Thanks for having us in the Big 12!! The SEC seems to have an issue with it.

I am disappointed the SEC continues it's hate binge of WVU. The national press pointed out the Big 12 improved itself by taking WVU and TCU. WVU is happy to be in the Big 12 and brings the conference the Pittsburgh (24th), Washington DC (9th) and Charleston Huntington (64th) television markets. WVU has a huge national following, a strong reputation with businesses all over the country and is the favored holiday team of the networks. Many rational and educated West Virginians, like myself, appealed to the SEC to take us and they did not. Only John Adams of the Knoxville newspaper saw the value of taking WVU. Please SEC leave WVU and the Big 12 alone. If your not happy with Missouri, find another team to invite. The Big 12 is pretty balanced and lets all get along. Remember WVU is a small team that works hard, but Texas is a rich school with lots of resources. Again, lets all get along in this new football world
The team the SEC, with the exception of Tennessee, dislikes so much is winning the Orange Bowl 56-20. Have a good evening. At least John Adams had it right.

@Dgillan@dgillan It is pretty clear Mr. Slive has a personal disliking for WVU. As the commissioner though, he should be guided by data and not personal feelings. SEC Presidents need to review his performance because WVU is a top 25 business and a winner on the field. Missouri has had limited success and will never compete in the SEC.

Also, thanks to the Leather Helmet for supporting WVU. Wished we could have sent some money back to Georgia instead of Georgia sending it Columbia. Tons of WVU fans in the Atlanta area, any Mizzo fans in Atlanta metro. I doubt it. Again, thanks again.
This decision is a horrible one for the SEC to make. The SEC took another Mississippi state to beat up on instead a school that actually could help them in WVU. I guess the conference has plenty of money to spread around and will give it to a program who will never compete or be a viable member.
Because there are more than 100,000 people in our fast growing eastern panhandle and more on the outer lying counties. It is the fastest growing part of the state.
