I went with Voyage of the Damned. Because it had your Queen waving at the end. :)

I wonder who the writer of the script is? Is it Moffat or someone else?
@supermoff @Planet of the Deaf @Polyphase You have to give RTD a hand for thinking that idea up :)

That is the phrase I have on the shirt I am giving another Who Fan at Christmas this year, She is a big Clara fan so I got her a T shirt with it on it. It is still around 70 F here so perfect t shirt weather.

It is a great Christmas episode, except for the part where Clara dies.
Since series 8 introduced new writers very successfully, there is no reason that other new writers can't be given a chance in series 9. Let Moffat be the guide for the series, but let the new writers have a chance to shine.
My introduction to the Doctor started with series 6 so I didn't quite have as much to make up as you do.
Have you seen the earlier series yet besides the episodes you just mentioned?
Perhaps after the Doctor and Clara find Gallifrey that can happen.

It sorta reminds me of the song that Foxes sung for TMOTOE, "Don't Stop Me Now". It would make a great theme song for Clara at this point. Perhaps that was what Moffat had planned with that song as the theme for the Doctor and Clara.
Is she looking at a mirror? Or reading the Mirror?
If Clara is continuing as the companion for series 9, it will be interesting to see how the interplay between the two will be handled. Will the lying between them continue or will that end since the Danny issue is no longer there? My hope is for a fun relationship without the lying as I think the chemistry between Peter and Jenna has been magnificent so far.

And that is my idea in a nutshell. Let the two of them head off and try to find Gallifrey to help the Doctor find closure.

@supermoff of C.L.A.R.A. can't wait for Christmas! @Planet of the Deaf @The Lazy Cat is Hanging Out With Jenna Coleman But a lie to protect someone's feelings is a lie for good in many cases. And that is what we were seeing with Clara this year, she was lying to protect someone's feelings (and not only her own's).

Actually, this isn't a bad idea about Clara staying on Gallifrey. What if she really is a TimeLady? Because until your first regeneration you only have one heart (remember the 1st Doctor only had one heart supposedly). Maybe there was a switch or change in the time stream? And that is why that Clara was able to talk the Time Lords into granting the extra set of regenerations. Because she doesn't remember any of this but the Gallifrey Council does?
2 weeks, 1 day ago on Clara, or a New Companion for Series 9?
You mean his name isn't Rusty?
The Doctor asked "How Much" when UNIT said he was on the payroll.
They are going to find Gallifrey and Clara is going to stay there to start a soufflé baking school?
If you want her to stay, you better put some knockout drops in her soufflé.
Agree with you but add that I wouldn't mind that the replacement companion join the Doctor and Clara sometime during the series as a trainee.
So the answer is that it is JNT's fault that we have the word "Season" being used on a British show then according to your history lesson. Very interesting and quite enlightening. Thank you for taking the time to educate me as to the history. I couldn't find this.

Could I ask the British (most of you) from this confused American why the classic Who was call "Seasons" but the revival is being called "Series"? Is there any reason behind that?

Nope, Lazy Cat just hitched a ride with her friend Clara. I understand she bribed Clara with a soufflé.

I am all for seeing her continue her journey with the Doctor through Series 9. Let the both of them together search for Gallifrey, with stops on alien worlds trying to find it (and the adventures that occur). Let her show how she is getting over Danny while traveling with the Doctor.

I never had a clue that Peter Capaldi was offered the opportunity to audition for the part of the Doctor for the Doctor Who movie. Neither did Moffat from his comment.

It was first seeing the Impossible Astronaut on BBC America and seeing this quirky guy who is an alien. And I just fall in love with the show. Find out it has been on the air since 2005. The the big shock that it has been on since 1963. Now I was born in 1960 and I had never even heard of Doctor Who. But now I am going through rehab at the VA and I have plenty of time to catch up on TV. And catchup I did, can't say that I have seen everything, but I have watched every Doctor, I do own just about all of the Big Finish Doctor Who library, and have enjoyed the trip.

That would be a tough one, Colin Baker or McGann for number one. So hard to choose in my mind. Both have done so well in the audio stories.
Lazy Cat - your post is the most sensible one about all of the Doctors and Companions that I have read and one that I fully agree with. I have found all of them to be great in the role, bringing something special to the screen. And your right, everyone has a favorite, but that could even change if someone better comes along.
@The Lazy Cat is Hanging Out With Jenna Coleman @supermoff, agent of C.L.A.R.A. And all of that is why we are fascinated with Clara.

Moffat's always has a plan for Clara. Usually Something impossible for her that will just drive us nuts.

@Only as old Whovian as you feel - Hello Rusty @Who is the Doctor needs his Clara Since Peter is only a few years old than I am, and I am a retired disabled military Vet with wrinkles and gray in my hair, I am pretty sure that I would think that a 2000 year old time lord with gray hair and wrinkles wouldn't care if he could fit in with the residents of an Adult care home.
Just think, when the Doctor goes see the old Clara at the old age home, the Doctor would fit right in, with his gray hair and wrinkles. :)
Covering something else more like it. Usually covered by the seat of the pants.

I thought it was the turtle cleaner?
Yep, you are calling this one right. It is a load of a healthy cats digestive deposit system. As you point out, the major players have known their plans for months. It is only us, the audience, who has been kept in the dark. But soon we shall see the light and Moffat will allow us to know his mighty plans for his Kingdom of Who, and his Sir Knight Doctor and Princess Clara.
If she stays, I think she will stay for all of Series 9 IMO. I think they are just trying to keep the drama up until the Christmas episode shows then the real announcement will be made.
That sums it up quite nicely. Unfortunately, I couldn't carry the tune.
In other words - she was always planning to return for series 9.
Amazingly, I felt just the opposite. I thought that having Nick Briggs stepping aside gave this one a shot of new energy as though he was getting tired. Liv only livened up at the end of the story, but that was understandable. Liv should sound much better (at least I hope so) in Dark Eyes 4.
3 weeks, 1 day ago on Dark Eyes 3 Review
Personally, I think you will just be lost in the story line if you start with Dark Eyes 3 without listening to the first two. The story of Molly is setup in the first two sets.
The Maaterplan was a very strong story on its own. There seemed to new energy with the series, perhaps because Nick Briggs stepped back and is letting others who have more time produce the series?
Looking forward to the completion to the Dark Eyes Series with Dark Eyes 4 in March and the announcement early next year to the next project with the 8th Doctor. I'm hoping we have a companion as great as the last two - Molly O'Sullivan and Lucie Miller.
