@daveybolland @SatsMundin @Uncle Otis @Biltmore if you read you'll notice is that I said it would be the ONE PART that'll be nice

@Uncle Otis @Biltmore the one part that will be nice once we tank next season will be seeing all the leafs fans who drank the kool aid and made fun of the "nerds" cry and make excuses or come to the dark side.
@Belfour20 @SatsMundin @Xxxxxnew if 5.25 is a discount for clarkson, im done

dont know if this was posted yet but it's a great article about franson
Nonis really screwed the pooch on this one
@Xxxxxnew I realize fully that points aren't everything, but it's pretty sad that the leafs are balking at giving him 4M after giving Clarkson (who had 5 less points as a forward and with more pp time) 5.25M and Bozak (ditto, albeit with more pts than clarkson, but while playing with Phil fucking Kessel) 4.2M
@Xxxxxnew not saying he's worth that much at all, I was saying it was easily enough to sign him
@MattmarkThis is Nonis paying for his awful signings. Had he kept Grabo, and let Bozak walk, he would have saved himself $2.55M altogether by buying out Liles instead. If he had done that, and then not given away Frattin + a 2nd for a minor upgrade at backup goalie, he could have also saved himself another $2M having Scrivens over Bernier. That would be $4.55M in extra savings to sign Franson, with IMO a better roster, but nope, Nonis had to make this his team. This doesn't even consider the savings he could have had by not spending a bajillion dollars on Clarkson. Dark days ahead friends.
@playoff nut @SatsMundin too slow, and unskilled.. We have Clarkson to bring toughness now (if not than there is no reason we should be paying him 2M more than Mac) so I don't think his enforcement is really needed

hopefully we get Franson long term soon and let Fraser walk, our D to start next year would then be:-
Granburg, Rielly, Blacker
Hopefully by the deadline, Liles can play his way into being traded at the deadline to a team desperate for a veteran d-man, and then one of blacker, granburg or rielly can step up
@-Keon- yeah, just by my count im saying
@-Keon- Bozak, Clarkson, Grabo, Mac, Bernier.. he seems to go on streaks with me haha, hopefully this is a long one on the good side lol
@Jmessih first was resigning Gunnar
@-Keon- not in a row though
2 VERY solid moves in a row by Nonis, gotta give him credit where it's due.. hopefully he can find a taker for liles now
@Burtonboy @wiski many of the people who give Nonis a hard time for his bad moves have credited him for this signing.. The people at PPP get harped on for always being so negative, but nobody will remeber moments like this where they had a positive reaction to the signing. Credit where it's due for Nonis.

@TheCanucksnaphook ok, so let's just throw out the idea of stats altogether then!! just because you (possibly incorrectly) believe a few people who use stats don't know hockey well is no reason to disregard them completely. As Taylor said, stats should not be the be all end all, and should be accompanied by analysis through watching the game, and vice versa.
@DWCMLHS solid list.. But even though I hate him, Subban is better than Campbell, Byfuglien at least
