He struck out the side in 11 pitches. That's impressive. I am impressed.

@Disgruntled Goat @Purple Drank The insulin-blunting effects of exercise should have him covered as long as he's quick about getting the calzone and eats it really, really fast.
Unless beverages don't even have insulin, in which case he can basically do whatever he feels like.
Great point, Chad. I like this article and I will use its arguments as if they were my own when I yell at people about Puig.
11 months ago on There’s valid criticism of Yasiel Puig out there, but Bill Plaschke is delusional
@bpamd3 Isn't he always on it? Until he charges off of it and into a brawl, then limps back on to it.

@Lobo @SummerSaint THE HUMANITY.
What happened the second time Puig ran into an out on the basepaths? All these stories are just alluding to it, but no one is actually saying how many orphans he knocked over and puppies he kicked.
@TheConman Looks like he's using it right. http://i.imgur.com/DyiJCtE

@SpaceDodger (Math Cat) @SummerSaint @Disgruntled Goat @TellMyWifeISaidHello There's a difference between Puig and Fat Puig. One is real, the other is a spring training media myth.

@Disgruntled Goat @TellMyWifeISaidHello That was just knocking food out of Fat Puig's hand, though.
@ABSmileBunch @Disgruntled Goat I'm surprised that, at this point in Rob Ford's career, he doesn't wear a cup to official functions.
@Disgruntled Goat @ABSmileBunch Running into a fire hydrant and laughing it off, Rob Ford style.

1 year ago on Does Bronson Arroyo Help the Dodgers More In Arizona or Los Angeles?
@EephusBlue @SummerSaint I felt it in my gut. My logic is unassailable.
Bronson Arroyo is terrible with the bat, which should negate his chances of being a Dodger.
@DBrim @SummerSaint I just remember that WARP, a while ago, was usually a lot higher than WAR because their version of replacement level was much lower. I don't know if that's changed, though, the way B-Ref and FG decided to synch up more.
1 year ago on PECOTA Loves the Dodgers
How do WARP numbers work relative to WAR? Are they approximately the same, or should we adjust one of them up/down in order to get a meaningful translation?

@Disgruntled Goat @DANCES WITH DINGERS! It was Ryu's Batting Average Against. He Saxon'd himself.
@Disgruntled Goat @SummerSaint @I Digesti It starts with an 8 and ends with a 1. You get to fill in the rest, like a choose-your-own-adventure story!
@Disgruntled Goat @SummerSaint @I Digesti Just until the next post, I thought.
@I Digesti It was Ryu's Batting Average Against. He Saxon'd himself.
@Disgruntled Goat @SummerSaint It was Ryu's Batting Average Against. He Saxon'd himself.
@Disgruntled Goat No, don't! I want Saxon'd (verb) to catch on, the best way to make this happen is repetition.
@great at maff It was Ryu's Batting Average Against. He Saxon'd himself.
@Chad Moriyama @Mike Petriello Better make sure you get a hoodie on, as well. You might catch a chill.
@BlueMarvin @SummerSaint Maybe, maybe not? I figure that if anything it might help endurance since you're not moving nearly as much weight around on each pitch.
@Disgruntled Goat @SummerSaint Okay. So it would be fair to say that he Saxon'd himself?
Saxon'd: verb, to mistake two similar concepts for each other, such as confusing BAA with BABIP, or SVS with Chris Withrow.
Wait, I don't understand. Fangraphs has Ryu's BABIP at .296, B-Ref has it at .300, and Mark Saxon is high or something with his .252. I even checked to see if Saxon was looking at Ryu's BABIP while hitting, but that clocked in at a healthy .343.
What's with the discrepancies here?
Did we ever find out how much weight Ryu lost over the course of the season? It was pretty noticeable at the end.
@Batted Bob That probably makes him their highest paid player, right?
