@asharma6 Wondering why Malone can't get the guys to buy in when Hornachek, Clifford, 76's, & Wiz coach can, too. I think the 76'ers have more talent with Evan Turner, Young, & definitely MCW, who just joined Oscar Robertson as only 2d player to have over 100 points, over 50 assists in only 7 games. Also, don't know if it will help Malone to throw guys under the bus publicly but it may. Also, so much was made of it being Cousin's team whereas 76'ers, Suns, made no such declarations. When we had a great team a decade ago it wasn't always announced that it was CWebs team. And it was a team, like the 76'ers. We knew CWeb was star but so were others. Maybe that's part of the problem. It takes the whole team. Resentment is a bad & poisonous thing. If people are preoccupied by poisonous thoughts they won't play well. Needs to be more emphasis on need for team work instead of working on Cousins team. Vasquez isn't as fast as MCW, too which is part of the problem. Maybe he will be faster when ankle is better. I like him @ the point too. Cousins likes to do his own thing with the ball in the post too but we haven't really seen him it do that this year. I understand your frustration. I'm on the fence with Malone as well. Can't help wonder what George Karl would have done with the team.

I agree with al asifyouknow on IT. He can score but like Tyreke, doesn't like to share. He may have had 7 assists Fri night but he had 4 turnovers. Not a good ratio. Last night he went into traffic too many times & had the ball taken, lost it but didn't score or get free throws when he could have passed to Ben. I've seen Ben wide open on the wing calling for the ball too many times this year & completely ignored by IT. I say give Vasquez a chance. He has a much better assist to turnover ratio than IT. He played good D on Lillard, looks to get guys involved & would have 2 x as many assists both night if guys had been hitting. Cousins was scoring because they didn't have an answer for him & someone needed to score. And is it just me or is JT back to whining & sniveling every time he gets a foul call even when he has clearly fouled? I say start Ben, Luc, & Outlaw (PF), bring Jimmer off Bench after Ben, & if Outlaw can't get it done, move Luc there & bring Jimmer in. Too much whiny & expectation to play by players who hav't earned it. I see a lot of trades coming. Hope Jimmer gets a chance before they just trade him. Some of the players are embarrassing, esp when they whine. I don't want whiners on the team!
Let's give him a chance with a different coach, different system, and ownership willing to invest in getting him the help he needs to get to the next level. He has so much potential. I think he can be a long term started with great contributions.

@tpistoia @Zooba17 @benilfeld I don't agree but I hope that you're right. Big difference between Jay-z & Shaq-Jay-z is quiet & respectful. Shaq always has to be the center of attention & focused on self promotion. Classic example-calling Sacramento Shaqramento & saying he wants to change the name of the town to Shaqramento. He's that arrogant. He said he wants to make us a miniLA. We're nothing like LA & if we ever are I will leave. We don't need to be like LA. We are own city. He doesn't know that, doesn't see that, & doesn't respect that. He needs to just shut the F up & observe. And what kind of role model is he for Cousins? He was always an immature thug as a player. I think he's one of the worst role models they could have picked. Someone with a great work ethic & great defense would have been the person to pick. Not Shaq. I still feel it's an insult to bring him in. But men in sports have such a fickle take on things-they just started drooling that Shaq is coming like he was the best player ever. The sports casters were embarrassing-giggling like little school girls over everything he said. So you have a take on it. I have a take on it. I will never think it was a good idea. There is a certain point of self respect that I don't believe we need to stoop below. Obviously, I'm disappointed in Ranadive that he didn't have enough faith in Sacramento that we could be a great city on our own & had to bring someone in to LosAngelize us. Lets see in 5 years if we have stooped to something that we don't like.

@benilfeld @Zooba17 What does that matter? It will still look like a Lakers game-there will be a sea of purple & yellow in the stands, not Kings jerseys. Look how the majority owner disrespected us by bringing Shaq to Kings nation. It's a slap in the face to Kings fans.
I 'm disgusted. Ranadive sold us out. Never go to another Kings game as it will never be a sea of purple again-it will be a sea of Laker purple. #lakersnorth! We don't want to be a mini LA! I hate LA! Now I would rather the team had gone to Seattle cuz I hate Shaq & his arrogance worse than Hanson. If he would have been a King he would have no rings-he wasn't that good. Only got them cuz he was a Laker. Cousins is better already than Shaq ever was. Doesn't Ranadive know that we hate Lakers? Every season's ticket holder should ask for their money back. Lies, lies, lies! This shows no respect to Kings fans by Ranadive to shove disgusting Lakers down our throats. Now I will join STOP!! KJ must have known this! I feel worse than I did when Kings were leaving-now a traitor bought them. Seattle is already laughing!
@Toofunny No I'm not with the Kings organization. I think the D league, which is different today than it was a few years ago or under the Maloofs, would help him become an excellent player all around & not be traded. Would you rather he was traded because he doesn't have an all around game or would you rather he developed one soon? Someone else mentioned that we would have a bad team cuz new owners won't get us a good team til a new arena (under Salmons discussions) but I don't believe that's true. I believe they want a good team NOW so we would have that sooner if he went to the D league. And I'm not clueless, as you have implied. I don't see you offering any information or opinion based on thoughts or facts, just insults so you probably shouldn't call others clueless. Keep it polite.
1 year ago on Monta Ellis chooses to sign with the Dallas Mavericks
@asharma6 @Zooba17 I would want draft picks for the trades. Yes, I like Cole Aldrich. He played hard, jumped, defended well, blocked shots, did great put backs. He's more athletic than he appears. He would probably play for 2 million per year.
1 year ago on What you need to know about Luc Mbah a Moute
@aLaFred @Zooba17 Jimmer isn't good enough in the NBA against other teams starters. He would truly benefit from the D League. Did you watch summer league & see all the players who have spent time in the D? Tyler Honeycut can now shoot the 3 even from back court, run the point, & handle the ball quite well. He said spending a good portion of a year in the D League is the best thing he's done. Jimmer needs help with his all around game.
They should put Jimmer in the DLeague.
Trade him to Charlotte for Gerald Henderson then trade Patrick Patterson to Wizards for Trevor Arriza.
1 year ago on Is John Salmons still the Sacramento Kings best option at small forward?
@Gary S Gilbert PhD @Zooba17 We've never tried him @ that position & he never played in an organized lineup with clear roles. He goes to the corner & shoots the 3. I think if he's fast enough for PF he's fast enough for SF BUT I don't think he will have trade value unless he plays awhile & gets to show his versatility. Landry can't shoot the 3. I do not like that we signed him!! Too many short guys @ PF just when everyone else is signing all the 7 footers they can & all the leapers.
@asharma6 I would prefer to trade them as you said but for draft picks if we have any left to trade & sign Cole Aldridge who did a good job last year when he finally got to play. He's quite athletic. Then we would have cap space to sign a person from sumer league. Tyler Honeycutt is on Rockets summer league & playing very well. Good defender, good ball handler now & good 3 point shooter-can play back court & small forward. I like him. He's very versatile.
I like the Spurs approach-don't gut your whole team @ once. Add players every year-1 player-replace someone who isn't doing well or add someone who does better than player we have. That's why I suggest Favors if they're going to trade a PF & add Freddette to Jazz trade. He's a big draw there. Not happy about loosing Evans. we don't even know if McLemore can make it in the NBA. Getting PG was crucial to Cousins happiness but should have been separate from Evans.
1 year ago on An uncertain future looms ahead for the Sacramento Kings' longest-tenured player
The only trade I would be happy with is Landry to the Jazz for Derrick Favors. And throw in the Chuckster.
@ZacharyAlvarado Sign David Lighty. 6'6" 2 Guard went undrafted in 2011? or before but good defender, shooter, rebounder. The intangibles!!
1 year ago on Sacramento Kings acquire Luc Mbah a Moute from Milwaukee Bucks
He might be a great defender but we need shooting too. I think Pattrick Patterson should be moved to small forward since he can shoot the 3 & stretch the defense. We need to dump Fredette & Hayes. I had hoped we would sign Cole Aldrich since he played well, gave us defense @ the rim, & could score. Instead we paid too much for Landry who, If he's as whiny as his last stint, will have to work hard to impress me. It was a stupid move to trade Evans. When they bought the Kings they bought assets so it made no sense to trade a kid who never had a good coach & has unlimited potential. Now they're after Ellis who is a shoot first guy, just what made Cousins unhappy last year. He wants a real point guard-like Greivis Vasquez, who will end up coming off the bench if they get Ellis. I'm very disappointed. Seems the Kings were saved so we could be "The Golden State Leftovers". Glad I didn't buy tickets. Add Ellis & after all these years Portland will be my team. We don't even know if McLemore can be good in the NBA. There are a lot of busts. We needed Evans size @ 2 Guard.
@JoeAlonzo We're getting a lot of non shooters though, especially considering they will probably trade someone in front.
