GV easily wins this battle. McCallum is probably better than Thomas already, making Thomas another trade chip?

@fofa_SLICK Its up to Oden. Waiting to find out his decision. Yay or Nay, I hope the guy does well, but DMC and Oden on the floor would be fun to watch. The offer is out there.

I think they should sign Drew Gooden  as the backup center

@SSSDMC15 I agree. Give Cousins the chance to flourish and really make a name for himself as a dominant big, and then build around him. Vasquez has gotten better and better every year, and I think having teammates like DMC, and Mclemore will only help. Mclemore has a good chance to get 18 ppg in his rookie year. I'm a little surprised they haven't made a trade for another SF, seeing as the team is overloaded at the G and PF/C. Looking at it as a 3 year plan, then patience will payoff, and we'll get the SF we need down the road. Looking forward to watching the pieces fall into place.

Maybe signing MWP would be a good move? One year contract, then hopefully draft a SF in 2014.

Depends on the trade possibilities. If there's not a better option, he's the guy, til FA/draft next year. I hope they make a trade for someone better.

@DanSandmanSmith @EricHutchings I think it was a cash problem. They no longer had enough cash to afford the team.  Not real sure what caused it. They just held on too long IMO, I thought they should have sold the team a few  years ago, and not drag it into the ground, and then try to move the team, so they could make more money on the sale when the NBA was pushing them out.  Its gonna be great to put all that crap behind them, and hopefully be competitive again.

@sactown @Toofunny I see your point, but Tebow landed with the Patriots, so its hard not to think some franchise might want to give Jimmer a shot.

Mclemore was a steal. Best player in the draft was a common description, and he's part of the Kings. Cousins is getting better every year, becoming a force. Vasquez is an above average PG, and getting better. Mouta is a good defender. Add Landry, and we're gonna win some games. There's a chance right now to get even better, by making trades and adding FA's. The question is what to change of the existing team.  Coulda, shoulda, woulda, about Tyreke. As much as we'll miss him, he is a Pelican now, and nothing's gonna change that. For a few years at least.  Time to move forward, to the future of the Kings.  The recent past hasn't been much to talk about, other than complaining about the Maloofs tremendous lack of ownership ability. Rebuilding sucks, but at least now we should definitely see some improvement. Something good from the Kings. Its been awhile, but I am excited to see it happen.

@Kingtut1 The Kings were a better team as soon as the Maloofs were out of the picture, and with the new front office, I think they'll be much improved in the win loss column.

there's a lot things that have to happen for this to be a good fit. Thornton would have to go. Mclemore is going to need minutes. Vasquez will probably be the starting PG, and Ellis would have to be the starting SG. Mouta is a good defensive player, but his offense is sketchy at best. If Mclemore can play SF....... . The team is set at PF/C, PG, SG so the real NEED is at SF. Ellis is a quality player, but the team is already overloaded at the G, so I would only pick him up if we could trade away a couple guys for a good SF. Maybe taking a risk on Granger would be a good idea?

If this guy is as good on D as I've heard, then this is a decent pickup. Not sure he's the answer at SF though

granger is too risky imo. Ilyasova is the better option, but I doubt the bucks are shopping him. Fredette, thornton, thompson need to be traded for value that is needed, not wasted. Should be fun watching how it all comes together.

I'll miss tyreke, but Vasquez is a great pickup and makes this team a ton better. I'm not a fan of Landry at SF, and I'm hoping he becomes a trade piece for someone else. Maybe he'll stick around and change my mind. Would be a nice surprise, but I'm not confident in his ability. They should be more competitive this coming year, and I'm looking forward to seeing the new look Kings in action.
