@Demarcus Cousins ..... He plays 12 minutes a game... There aren't many players who could average what Fredette averages in his minutes.. Leads the league in 3pt percentage as well... per 36 min.. he is right around 18ppg.. so yeah.. Nice way to show everyone how ignorant you are... Learn to read stats.

@layituplikeaman  ... His contract isn't a very large expiring lol.. but either way, yeah you would think they would've found someone, could just be that the teams with 2nd rounders didn't feel like he would give them enough in two months to include them, when they might be able to get something else ... I am fine with giving McCallum some time.. I just honestly think in the few minutes he has been given I don't really like what he does... I'd like to see offensive aggression... there are no scorers (outside jimmer and DWill) on that second unit...

He also could still have been traded... every year somebody gets traded and you dont hear about it for an hour or two after deadline... Either way, I believe Jimmer>McCallum>Terry... Does that mean they can get time for McCallum? Yeah... play him with Fredette... or play him with Terry .. But in all honesty I know this team says they dont care about winning but I know Malone does... and you best believe if McCallum doesn't start showing something they will go back to Fredette.... McCallum hasn't earned anything over Fredette but maybe they give him more run to see if he can...

Is anyone else frustrated with DWILL???  I can't understand this guy.. he passes up open players all the time... DWILL if Outlaw just drilled a trey... and is wide open... do not drive into three guys and hope the refs bail you out... Seriously... he does this all the time... If there is one thing that could dramatically improve his game.. its looking more for what he is being given vs. what he can take... or cant.. usually.

@benbackstreet @Andromeda4 @layituplikeaman  Lol that pass was quite bad from Jimmer but it was just a mental error.. he wanted to inbound then had noone to inbound... then thought gay would hustle so he went to inbound lol... and then gay didnt hustle so he did some weird white boy maneuver and made a mistake... it was ugly but I would dare say even with that he was more productive than the McRookie...

The reason why Fredette likely won't be traded is that he is a free agent in two months... He has value but I think the word on the street is that Fredette wants to get to Ainge and really whoever takes him will likely lose him because Fredette wants another chance to prove himself not a role as a bench shooter... What happens after that is anyones guess but it does seem with some confidence he might find himself a larger role than the one he is currently residing...

On a side note: Last night, apparently Jimmer was sick?  I liked the chance to see McCallum but every time that happens I just wish they would go back to Jimmer, his offensive ability is sorely missed without him in that second unit.  It is still a mystery to me why they dont play him with IT in the starting lineup... Is he better with the ball in his hands... yes.... but that doesnt mean he cant play a little without it... We have the best shooter in the NBA on our team.. and he rides the pine all the time... I dont get it.... Defense? Who plays defense at two guard on our team?... Might as well try to outscore the opponent and hope that team defense can do enough to keep you in front.

@HowardUGrad2010 go look at the box score.. Fredette had 2 TO's... You seem like a pretty negative person and your observations are frankly pretty questionable... Vasquez was not good at all so far this season.... he turned the ball over more than IT does and most would agree in saying he was the worst defender on the team...Also our roster is not suited for slow it down run the offense types (most offenses aren't anymore)...

@Ken S Actually thats what happens when your bigs are travis outlaw and ninja... there was absolutely no paint presence so the defense really only had to worry about Jimmer and/ or McCallum... Could they have played better, yes... Jimmer was rusty.. McCallum nervous... but neither had any help whatsoever... what people should be wondering isn't whether Fredette will make the most of his minutes... (he usually does when given consistent minutes) What people should wonder is why Thornton see's the floor shooting like he does...

Tonight MT : 24 min (1 pt, 0-4, 1 TO, 7 Reb)... Here is a stat that may not say as much about Fredette as it does for Thornton... kings went 3-1 with Fredette in the pre-season (3-0 when he played more than 14 min... ) ok, ok, its pre-season, but Kings are 3-2 when Jimmer plays 10 or more minutes this regular season... still not much to gather there (Fredette had a great pre-season thought at the pg)... What this ultimately says to me is that, while yes Fredette when he gets ample time to settle down tends to make good decisions (malone constantly touts his BBall IQ) ... Fredette did not play enough to really make a decisively large impact. What did make an impact?  The absence of a blackhole (**would be fine if said hole was referring to putting the ball in the hole** not the case) who since the Kings drafted a young SG has completely lost all confidence and is a mere shadow of his former self. I see no need for MT as he is in his current slump. I would rather play a better shooting, better passing, slightly less defending PG at SG than play him... because it equates to better overall BBall IQ and wins...

Now.. that being said.. I expect that Fredette will bounce back if he is given the minutes and take over as the Backup point and Malone will keep playing Thornton until he finds some sort of rythum with the hope that Pete can then immediately trade him for a defensive stopper at the two.. not likely... more likely they will have to let loose Fredette to get something like that...

Anyways great game tonight... bench needs help.. GO KINGS!

Can we stop playing Thornton? Honestly start Isaiah, play Fredette a little at both the back-up 2 and back-up 1, he plays quite well with BMac... Package GV and MT somewhere... because GV has been vastly over-rated... is he honestly better than Fredette?? I don't think so.. the one thing i have noticed this year with Fredette's limited minutes is he has improved his handle significantly.. he is also an extremely willing passer (PG) .. him and BMac on the floor is a scary thought.... and quite honestly...IT deserves the starting role... he may not be a pure PG but who really is these days??? What does pure PG even mean??? ... Sorry for the rambling, but i guess what i want to say is can we get rid of MT and GV? Play Fredette as 6th man (he can play both point and SG)... I think that would get alot off our salary and honestly... I think it makes us a better team eventually.

Wow.. Don't understand why everyone is fighting over Jimmer right now. Fact is this team is under-performing. Hard to do I know but they are. Who is at fault? Everyone playing, but the largest culprit has to be Marcus Thornton and his inconsistent play.... How anyone and everyone isn't calling for Jimmer right now is a mystery to me.  Fredette had a pretty solid pre-season and is a very willing passer who seems to (if he is playing aggressive) really get the offense in a good flow. He is a perfect fit next to Vasquez  but I would really like to see a Jimmer, BMAC backcourt too, the few times they have done this i really have felt like Jimmer has got Bmac some really quality looks.

Like I said before guys, this team has 2 wins and constantly relies on a late game rally to try to even make games a contest. This team needs a change and that needs to be Jimmer. It should have already been him but I suspect his benching had more to do with trying to raise Thorntons worth rather than Jimmers, the kings know what they have and they would really like Thornton off the books IMO.... But anyways... All of you who call yourself "True Kings Fans" should be pulling to get Jimmer on the floor, it will improve this team...

Felt like Grievis was completely hindering the offense.. He is taking to long to make decisions... It reminds me of what reke used to do.. I dont think he is near ready... You could see it as everyone around him struggled tonight, Jimmer and boogie especially... I think he needs get the ball moving quicker... overall i feel like his performance was lacking... I do think MacLemore has been great, I would really like to see IT and Jimmer play together, honestly they may be undersized but i dont think Jimmer is any less of a liability than vasquez... They compliment each other because Isaiah is a shoot first point guard and Jimmer is a shoot first point guard.... together they will rack up assists and points.. and then u can bring in BMAC and he can play with IT or move Jimmer over and have him run it with BMAC... honestly so far I see no need for GV.. no offense... but his game has been offensive.

I would venture to say jimmer looks to pass more than thomas does... with improved ballhandling... i do think he is viable at the point.. isaiah needs to stop shooting every time he touches it... those type of pg's end up being bench spark plugs not starting points.

Lol he is not gonna be ready to start game # 1 .... Anyone who thinks that is delusional.. Hi ball handling needs major improvement and his shot selection needs to improve as well... His stroke is goo though so he will be aight after a year or two.. He needs to develop.

1 year, 3 months ago on Poll: How concerned are Sacramento Kings fans about Ben McLemore?

I like Vasquez but I don't think he will be the answer to our woes... The answer will be in mike malone, we have a lot of talent even without tyreke... I like our point guards... Are they score first? Probably but remember they were running an offense designed by Keith smart, will we see more development from our young talented points (jimmer and Isaiah) I think so... And let's not forget that Vasquez averaged 3 turnovers a game and while he got 9 assists per he played 35 min a game... Did anyone on sac get those kind of minutes? I would not be surprised if our current guards end up getting more minutes by the end of the season than does Vasquez.... What we need to do is flip Vasquez and JT or someone for a half decent defensive minded small forward... Under the right system our offensive minded guards will thrive.
