@Rangers_54 I understand how you would keep Richards on it. Yes he is looking slow but he does have the ability to make beautiful passes. However as far as G? How can they possibly put him on the PP. I would rather any other defense-men on this team be on our PP except for maybe Klein. Seems silly to have a guy out their who is not only not an offensive defensemen but also has the potential to get beat in a foot race.

@Rangers_54 plus. the knicks suck!
and i might add quick's rebound control is about a "C-" right now. He's giving up rebounds on shots to the midsection so we need to fire away.

I feel like we really should aim for an A Plus guys. I mean come on.
All of the grading jokes aside, I do not feel like I am being delusional when I say this article is spot on. The fact is we made Doughty look silly more than once to start that game with speed. We made the Kings look shaky by overwhelming them and getting multiple guys in for puck battles. Not sure when happened in the third but I highly doubt we will see that third period rangers team again. LETS GO RANGERS>
@stRangers fan @JustinRP37 what are you even doing on here then? listen I admit I spend too much time reading blogs and thinking about this team and all but I am at least having fun and hopeful. it is kind of sad to think of you hanging out on message boards and being a downer. the bums lost: get a job sir.

someone needs to sit Nash down and tell him that its not acceptable in the NHL in the Finals to not even get a shot off on a 3-1. He is getting embarrassing to watch on the rush. I appreciate his back check and all but on the rush he is looking lost. G's game was too slow, he needs to find another level and move just a bit quicker. I don't think Quick is all that dangerous right now. His rebound control was awful but we didn't have bodies there to slam those second chances home. Lets take Game 2 and go back to NYC on a high. We can clearly beat these guys.
i agree with kevin here. get tough with gabby. he is known for shying away from the physical play. put a shoulder into his chest every time he tries to drive the net and we can make him a non issue. can't wait for game one, seems like a year away.
@KevinTheNYRBlog @Bukra! it's too bad we have to hear mike emmerick blather on when we watch our team battle for the cup. i would love to hear sam or kenny albert instead. kenny is an especially great play by play guy.

not sure why they skipped out on weekend games. those are the best.
guess kovalev picked a side. just made the rounds buying the news papers. cloud nine til Wednesday.
somewhere ryan callahan just pooped his pants
man with brass and step back in just looking at that lineup has me questioning my doubts about this team. we are a deep, well built team. sather may have spent the first years of his tenure completely destroying our team but he deserves credit.
I have a tshirt that I made myself that says FIRE SATHER. I made that shirt this year. I want nothing more than to burn it now. one more win and its going in the fire place.
now lets go out there and put this one to bed. LETS GO RANGERS.
i don't like to think to far ahead but if the rangers were to clinch tonight, and the kings were to clinch tomorrow when would game one be?
this is a suspendable hit. he should get three purely because it is a clear attempt to injure. it was not a guy being overly zealous and finishing a check. it was not a hockey play. stepan was looking the other way. the puck was long gone and prust lunged at him and caught his chin.
9 months, 2 weeks ago on Conversation @ http://nyrangersblog.com/
@gravey94 @KevinTheNYRBlog three games should have been the max. letting the ref's have a say in this is nonsense. review the tape. its like asking stepan how many games prust should get.
@KevinTheNYRBlog @KarenMaz either way, very late and he does make contact with the chin. so what if he goes chest then chin, it was a very blatant dirty hit with an intent to injure.
@DubiLeetchahan @EquusBiz @Bring back Langdon seeing as in this metaphor the rangers are Nazi Germany... yeah its kind of offensive
@DubiLeetchahan I don't know who you are. But i don't think you've ever skated as fast as Chris Krieder on a break away. That being said if you still can I wouldn't mind you filling in for Brass.
This is the sort of thing you see in movies. They are going TO Montreal after they Execs turn down a very considerate and reasonable request to play a game one in Marty's home town on the eve of his mothers funeral. All the players will be in attendance to their newest teammates mothers funeral. This group will come out of Montreal and back to New York as the most together, synced unit in the league.
Fuck you NBC. Other then Kenny Albert you have no idea how to even hire proper play by play and color announcers. When we lift the cup I'll be watching on mute so I don't have to hear Pierre or Doc! They should be ashamed. They had their guys mentioning St. Louis mothers death about a hundred times, exploiting it for some emotional blips on their radar and then they pull this shit.

@DPSnotty @rangermom I second that. I'm in for 20$
Lets go RANGERS! Lets take it to them. If we play our hardest they can't handle us.
Let's get it done boys. I am attending my first playoff NHL game after being a fan of this team since diaper days. Jaccccccccked Up.

Hey NASH! Shove MASON!
10 months, 1 week ago on Conversation @ http://nyrangersblog.com/
HOLD ON TIGHT. Danny C should be in. How can you start Miller over him when you consider the experience level of each. Its game Seven AV. That being said if it comes down to Miller vs Carcillo to decide this game for us then we don't deserve it. We have big names and talented guys. Miller or Carcillo shouldn't really matter.
@Billfrom Brookhaven kind of shocked hes not in.
@rep5seanleader stop bumming before the game even starts. sitting nash is not an option. who would you play for him? nonsensical.
@EMoney2413 Dude. Someone piss in your beer? Go be a downer somewhere else. Are you a fan? LETS GO RANGERS.
We lose this game because of our in ability to capitalize on golden opportunities. It seemed like every time they scored they gave us a chance on the PP to take the game back and we did nothing. Dialed it in for game six. Ugly. Simmonds is one of the most gutless players in the league. He throws punches with his gloves on, cross checks the head a neck, and slashes any chance he gets. I really hope AV puts Carcillo in and tells him to stay right near Simmons chirping. The only problem with that is Simmonds would probably cross check Carcillo and Carcillo would get a minor penalty for falling. The refs have been garbage. Too many missed calls. To many embellishment calls. And can someone please tell me how Zucc got that roughing penalty. He was crosschecked twice, knocked down, and then in self defense shoved a guy twice his size. Joke. LGR. I have never applauded a player going down to injury but for the sake of the other athletes on the ice I hope Simmonds is collecting his teeth instead of hats on the ice after game 7.
Im not sure if anyone moved their feet on the 4-3 powerplay. it was embarrassing to watch everyone look at one another and wonder who was going to make the move.
@Killerkendoll I am sorry but Hank was not the problem. The two he was beat on were goals no goalie saves. Hes got a 1.79 gaa. The boys need to take better shots. Mason was not as good at his stat line tonight.
pierre has got to be one of the worst. he adds almost nothing. horrible
I really hope McD really is 100%. I like to believe it but the way team doctors are we really don't know. I guess we will find out when he steps out on the ice.

He should put the C on his chest Game One of the playoffs. It would be a morale booster and well deserved.
So is Nathan Horton now the owner of the fastest goal from the start of the period record?
10 months, 4 weeks ago on Conversation @ http://nyrangersblog.com/
@Josh-CK hahah thats amazing. Our Centers have underperformed all year. Zucc, Mac, Hank. That is why we are in the playoffs.
the big question in the east for us is can we hang with Boston. We have shown that we can take Pittsburgh, we can take Philly, we can take these Eastern teams, but Boston is what stands between us and one of those deadly Western teams. If Nash goes to the net and doesn't back down from Boston's big boys, St. Louis remembers his St. Louis, and we get some contributions from Step, Zucc and Brass we have a shot. But if you think we can roll through Boston on speed alone your mistaken. We are going to have to pretend we are tougher than we are and get in some peoples faces. It's not necessarily about being the big tough guy, but you have to act that part on occasion. When your a pro athlete you should be able to handle yourself (I am thinking of Girardi, Staal, Boyle). We have big boys who need to realize they are big boys.
happy to see this. putting brian boyle with brad richards and marty st louis sounds like a joke. its like we hit the shuffle button and went with whatever it spit out. at least having some more of the speed av loves so much should help. not to mention some skill. brian boyle is a really good 4th liner, he has no place with st. louis. though i am not sure if richards does either.

@scrangersfan @mando24179 i wouldn't say it doesn't work just because your goaltender couldn't put up on solid game away from home and was horrible in the final. i do think the cup goes through boston though and you do need to have some guts against that team. but the guy is not a chump, he was one luongo away from the cup.
proof that we don't have the guys to play with a guy like st. louis. not about how good an individual players is, its about how well that player fits into any given system. i like st. louis but this was not a well thought out plan at all.
i agree with the sentiment that msl should not be with ritchie. rich should be bought out at the end of the year, he is not doing what hes being paid to do so why worry about keeping these two buddies together. msl needs to not be on the ice with that guy. brad is thinking about msl too much and its obvious.
MAYBE THE DEATH THREATS CAME FROM THE PLAYERS. YOU KNOW INSTEAD OF ACTUALLY KICKING HIS ASS ON THE ICE THEY FIGURED THEY COULD GO AROUND SHANNY THIS WAY.
that's how real men threaten peoples families. via 120 character posts on twitter.
@KevinTheNYRBlog @johnnyb3910 @Say my Name Gotta say Boomer officially is an idiot. I liked that he was a big Rangers fan and everything, not to many new york broadcasters give the Rangers their due at all, but he is beyond stupid with that comment. Its a game.
@Say my Name agreed. well put. people have become receptacles for entertainment rather then active productive people so when something happens in this world some people see it as THEIR world.
I am pretty sure that the staff at news day is unsure of what the word indefinitely means. I am applying for a job today. In the interview I can drop huge words like journalistic, editorial, and vocabulary. woo hoo.
@KevinTheNYRBlog @AL55S @rjonyr87
he is a bit undersized but he has been impressive. maybe he is looking around and realizing he has a legit shot on the ny rangers and is going the extra mile. he seems confident and decisive which this team needs on the point.

diaz is great. seeing number four move his feet, take shots, and make solid passes is bizarre after the last dude.
nash needs to play like he did in that columbus game. its offensive to think that he is making all that money, and capable of doing what he did to the blue jackets but that it all stems from his personal reasons. you play for the new york rangers. go out there every night and play like its on the line. he plays good games because he is naturally talented and 6'4. but we got him to play great games, and with passion that is what he's capable of. he better be a monster in the playoffs because i am sick of the back and forth effort.
@mlsranger that is an amazing idea, though i am sure the next day the nhl would create a rule about it
