@Mad Dam I'm also disappointed we don't get to see how Evans would have developed under the new management, but I'm excited to see what Vasquez can bring to the team. Try to think of it like Evans would have walked away anyway if we hadn't pulled off the sign-and-trade, so at least we got something instead of nothing.

I'm coming around on Cousins, too. So he had an attitude the past couple of years. So what? He's a competitive guy, and he was playing for a couple of owners who seemed to be hoping the team would fall apart. That might piss you off if you're an intense competitor who's used to playing for winners.

I didn't follow McLemore too much in college. Is there any chance he could play small forward, or is he strictly a guard? Is there any way McLemore and Ellis could be used as a 30+ mpg duo, or would their presence on the court together be strictly situational?

Another solid move by the Kings who quietly shore up one of their worst areas from last year. If we're able to trade for Asik, we're a playoff team this year!

I like the idea of Asik and Cousins playing next to each other!

Let's not forget that even in Evans' remarkable first season where he put up 20/5/5, we still only won 25 games. It's chemistry we've been running short on, not talent. We'll still have plenty of talent this year with Cousins and McLemore; what we need is someone to shore up our passing game, the worst in the NBA last year. We now have a PG that led the league in total assists this past season. Sure, he isn't Rajon Rondo, but anyone who can claim that statistic in the NBA surely knows a thing or two about creating opportunities for his teammates. I'm excited to see what this year brings.

I like this pick up by the Kings, and I hope it signifies a return to the pass-heavy offense that we had back in the late 90s/early 2000s. That being said, I really think the Kings need one more big move this summer to become a playoff contender. I wish they'd try to find a way to get a good big man in exchange for Cousins. He's talented, but his attitude is poisonous! Are there any strong power forwards or centers out there that we might be able to swap for Cousins and one of our many guards?
