I hate the fact that I agree with STOP in principle, but cant stop being a huge King's fan. Very conflicted.

What I said was, the ONLY thing I don't like about Jimmer is his fans. Everything else is just fine, unworldly shot, clever passer, class act of a guy. Also he's the kind of team player that sleeps better after a DNP where the team won, than a 30 point scoring night after they lost.

So my question is this, how can such a nice, hard working guy have such judgmental, selfish fans. Jimmer's not blaming his teammates or his coach for his struggles, why are you?

Nobody is out to get Jimmer, he is having the same struggles as many 1st round picks have. However, I think in 3 years (with the Kings or without) he will start shutting all you Jimmermaniacs up.......and give us normal Kings fans some elbow room.

Who invited these guys? Seriously have Jimmer fans ever enjoyed a win in which Jimmer didn't have a ton of minutes? Kings fans enjoy victories, even sloppy ones.

These Jimmer die-hards, I mean.....just strange....I mean, be happy for your favorite player, his team just won a game. A game where he had a sweet ally-oop dish, that will make the highlight reel for sure.

You guys are the only reason I don't like Jimmer.

Goodbye Jimmer, hello Aaron Gray. I will miss Jimmer if and when this happens, I will not miss his idiotic fans. They really are in love with the player not the game.

Per Williams starting:

Well at least his defensive cover tonight isn't Durrant or James, Dudley will allow him a few mistakes on defense; not that many on offense however. Dudley has been a reasonable defender most of his career.

I was really most impressed by the groove Cousins found defensively. Brooke Lopez schooled him a couple of times in the 4th quarter down low, but even with a 18point lead Demarcus was enraged with his inability to stop Lopez. He could have just shrugged it off, he knew they already had the game in the bag but he didn't let himself off the hook. I almost wept when he got a standing ovation on a 12pt9reb game, because the crowd saw what I saw; a leader, a winner and the hard work this team needs to be known for. They didn't care he had an off stat game, the crowd knew whats important and they showed him by the ovation.

@civtalker It is standard for Mr. Ham to not speculate on the starting lineups. Until there is anything official it always coincides with the last game played.

@DreLewis

If you were going to make a trade based on lack of defensive alone,Thornton makes sense, but JT and Salmons are certainly the best defenders at there position on the current roster.

Only make trades if we are picking up 'Substantial' defensive improvements. I cant wait to see if Luc can make an impact, or even an appearance for that matter. I just cant see us improving on JT, he is far to versatile. Especially on a rebuilding team, you need veterans that can do a lot of little things.

Ahhh. I see we went from the word "Mature" in the title (this morning) to "Poise" this afternoon. I can imagine some agents (nobody in-particular) don't like that term.

I'm happy Malone didn't let that abysmal 4th quarter go un-noticed. It almost ruined the game for me...almost.

I love the no opt-out clause; its a great small market move in this new CBA. It's simple, undramatic, and by getting Cousins to agree to 4 instead of 5 years, it sends a signal of understanding. He understands he's worth a lot but acknowledges that in order to win in a small town, you have to make sacrifices. Or at very least he acknowledged that his past behavior lowers his value a bit. Either way it's a good sign that Pete D. can manage to keep control of the Kings wallet.

10 months ago on DeMarcus Cousins, Sacramento Kings agree to contract extension

It's strange, I would never condone such a risky endeavor under the Maloofs, but I somehow think its a necessary move to keep momentum flowing in the right direction. Nobody (fans that is) wants to hear about his contract extension (or lack of) during the entire season, and I think the new King's brass understands that. So in my mind it is a risk that they have to take, and if played correctly can provide positives for Cousins, his Teammates, the Kings PR efforts and the future vision of Management and Coaching staffs.

Absolutely not offended, the only person/people that should be offended are the Maloofs. It's their ranking, and frankly is not that off base.

However if I am in charge of PR for the 'New' Kings I would take this as a serious situation and would retaliate as well.

In my mind, it will be all that more impressive next year when the ranking substantially improves.

As a Kings fan, I'm afraid I wont know what good coaching looks like. Its going to take us awhile to adjust, maybe he can do some hair-brained stuff in the first couple of games, you know just to ease us in. lol

11 months, 1 week ago on Michael Malone left imprint on New Orleans and Golden State

I think he will be just fine, he was traded twice for team financial reasons (for the most part). Kings needed a salary dump because of a cash flow problem, and the rockets needed space for Dwight Howard. I wouldn't say he looked that good a Sac last year, he seems to lack some basic skills regarding positioning and smart deacon making. With that said, it's just a matter of time, Portland will be good for him.

Considering he has showed his value during the summer leuage, he is now worth more then when he was drafted. So if you can sign him and then trade him at the deadline you have created value in your investment.

1 year ago on Poll: Ray McCallum shines in Las Vegas, but what does that mean?

I think John was under valued last year. Here is why:

The one BIG thing that Kings fans have grown frustrated with these last few years is "Stupid Mistakes"

Examples: Fouling three point shooters, inbounding violations, full court pass turnovers, poor clock management, not using your 'foul to give" in late game situations.

Now ask yourself how many times John Salmons was involved in those unbelievably idiotic plays? Good luck.

I'm not saying John never makes a bad decision but there are some mistakes a veteran should never make; in that regard he had value. Jason Thompson got there last year too, as well as Chuck of course.

Even with his low production, he provides a great example to younger players.

Is all that worth 7-8mil? Well of course not lets get real here, but if I was to resign John as a Free agent his, value might be somewhere around 3-4mil a year.

Considering whats left in cap space and available Free Agents, I'm fine with Salmons next year.
