@Lobo @Purple Drank (2014 MSTY Poster of the Year) @Amblin In limited time in the minors, he did have like 10 K/9, but yah, that 4.5 K/9 is a huge red flag.

@PagansOedipalComplex @slaps825 @Mike Petriello @scottmbarrett Fangraphs in the small LF sample size of 265 innings have Kemp as a slightly minus left field arm. That seems wildly inaccurate.
@Mike Petriello @scottmbarrett I really have my doubts that his defense has cost us 2.3 games. It has been bad defense, but it's 1.5 games worse than Michael Morse? Something seems off.
@Bull Doggy Dogg Dodgers have 17 fewer HRs in June than in May. Is that why they are tanking?
@PagansOedipalComplex Higher OPS than AGon.
@ABSmileBunch @Purple Drank There was a time in like 2008-09 where I remember bemoaning that we could have had Lincecum.
@moneynow27 There are a lot of underperforming bats and hurt pitchers. They may hit a lean stretch here.
@PagansOedipalComplex I just hope the Cards finally score against a pitcher who has thrown a no-hitter this year.
@Mike Petriello @slaps825 Shit. OPS. Yah. I'll show myself out.
1 month ago on Dodgers’ prospect Q&A: Trevor Oaks, 2014 7th-rounder
@Mike Petriello @slaps825 Ethier is .244/.300/.348. What isn't true?
@Mike Petriello It's still 8 points higher than Andre Ethier.
@TellMyWifeISaidHello @PagansOedipalComplex @slaps825 My ultimate hope for Ethier was that we would suck in 2012 and he would be moved to a contending team desperate for some outfield pop. Alas, we became a contending team looking for outfield pop. And we extended him until he is 36. Good job Ned.
@PagansOedipalComplex Still has a .370 OBP and .135 ISO. Ethier would give his pinky to be anywhere near that.
@PagansOedipalComplex @slaps825 He has one more extra base hit this month than Juan Pierre.
@InsideThePark (Chavez Ravine) I would believe it if he actually ever hit the ball hard. At this point, SVS is hitting righties better. Projections have Ethier recovering, but I worry that there is an underlying issue that projections aren't picking up on like a bad back. He hasn't driven the ball well for three months now.
Ethier this month is .200/.246/.215 an ISO of .015.
@InsideThePark (Chavez Ravine) That is only eating about a third of his remaining contract to get rid of him. $10M may be too much, but anywhere near them eating that much would be palatable I think.
@PagansOedipalComplex And in projections, you talk about percentile output. What you said seems to be about 60-65th percentile, which is not really playing too far over his head.
@PagansOedipalComplex ZIPs projects roughly .270/.330/.460
In terms of adding an arm in the bullpen, Huston Street would be fun. Also, if the Phillies chip in say about $10M over the next 3 years, Papelbon will have a really similar contract to Brandon League. And it would seem that the Phillies wouldn't take too much to part with him.
Looking at ESPN's list of no-hitters, it's sort of funny to see that Brandon League was part of a combined effort to no-hit the Dodgers.

Andre Ethier is getting close to having an ISO similar to Juan Pierre. That is frightening. Dee Gordon has a higher ISO.
1 month ago on Who Gets Cut When Juan Uribe Is Activated?
@Mike Petriello @Lance Uppercut Probably, but it's the first nondescript 4 corners player who does nothing particularly well.
@Lance Uppercut And Tyler Colvin is their Jason Grabowski.
@WBBsAs (In Dog We Trust. Un Planeta Sin Gatos) @slaps825 I meant in the changing of uniforms. OK, maybe we are the Charl...New Orlea..OK...New Orlea...Charlotte Hornets.
1 month ago on There is no benefit to the Dodgers trading Matt Kemp
@TheOcelot @slaps825 @TheConman .333 OPS is only .157 worse than what Ethier is doing in the month of June.
@TheOcelot @TheConman @slaps825 Greinke has 3 PH appearances. A sac bunt, a walk and a double play.
@TheConman @TheOcelot @slaps825 Still better than Ethier hitting. At least the relief pitchers would have enough pride to not swing and maybe work a walk.
@distraught tot @TheOcelot @GameMusic3 @slaps825 He also has the same number of extra base hits this month as Ethier. Again, in only two ABs.
@TheOcelot @slaps825 The DH can hit for anyone. Also, if Hanley were to play the field tonight, we would lose the DH and our pitchers would have to hit. I really wouldn't put it past Donnie to find a way to double switch.
@TheConman @Purple Drank @distraught tot We are basically the Florida Marlins of international soccer.
I think what this article is saying is that we should let Greinke hit tonight and DH for Ethier.
@ABSmileBunch I don't understand, 2007 is 7 years post Kevin Elster.

@InsideThePark (Ethier, Kemp, Puig) Watching the game, I am not sure what a lot of these hitters are sitting on. Lots of two seamers on the corner being taken for strike 3.
