@Matt Kemp's Bath Towel @ak825 @foldamort We are clearly prone, because it's clear the rest of the league is fucking the Dodgers in the ass.

@foldamort "In this position?"   You mean among the best teams in baseball?  What the fuck is it with all these people bitching about the Dodgers' position in the league?

@P_F_P I'd feel better if Uribe wasn't dealing with a re-injury.

So I am almost certain Puig has a bad back.   I will venture to guess that Pederson gets his share of run in September.

@2B15Lopes @ak825 Right.  But he pitched 96.2% of a perfect game as a starter.  I am pretty sure that, given enough chances, he could retire 46 in a row as a starter.

@2B15Lopes Umm.  You know he retired the first 26 batters in a game in which he started, right?

@Jacopo (How is this a bad plan!) @Purple Drank I think the bigger fear is that one of these lower level prospects becomes a higher level prospect which a year from now you can get much more for.

@JustinDrummond These aren't really lottery tickets.  These are educated guesses from the scouting department.  We have had losers, but if you stock your system with enough of them, something tends to work out.

If anything, not every lottery ticket is a winner is the precise reason for trading for Fausto.   He isn't a great pitcher.  He isn't exciting.  But you have a pretty good guess of what he is going to be...and that has been someone who can give between 5 and 7 servicable innings per start for about 2 months.

@Tymathee @capnsparrow I think if you look at people like Roberto Hernandez as pretty much interchangable with 30 or 40 other pitchers, sure I wouldn't mind someone like him as backend rotation competition.

@JustinDrummond Why?  Cheap marginal major leaguers are always floating around and relatively easy to come by.  Just look at Justin Turner and Miguel Rojas for your paradigm of hope.

@PagansOedipalComplex Or perhaps they have talked to the Mets and aren't willing to meet the price.  Again, the Mets have plans to win next year and Colon is likely a big part of that.

That is typically a good sign of management.  That management is headed by among others, Ned Colletti.

@foldamort You have no idea why he is kept around, but then you have no idea if someone else could have done better.   Management and ownership seems to have a good grasp on that.  They kept him around.
