That's why the Spurs are the best shooting team because of "Machine Gun" Engelland.

@stack36 Kyle Anderson advantage over other small forwards is that he can play the point very well like what Scottie Pippen or even Magic Johnson did before. I've seen some of his scouting videos and some of those can be corrected by proper coaching.  On the case of Anderson, I would prefer him playing more in the D-League rather than overseas

Spurs has a lots of veteran he can learn from. She should start calling Tim Duncan and have a fundamental clinic with TD.

If Mills stays at a reasonable rate well and good. If not the Spurs have Cory Joseph to backup Parker.

@snoozulooz  Soon it will not be about the money. Love will want to have a chance of winning a title. Kevin Love's skills fits very well in the Spurs lineup. Maybe not this coming season but maybe in the future. I won't be surprise some of the good veterans will flock the San Antonio Spurs just to get a chance of a championship ring. Michael Finley and Glenn Robinson did it before.

I totally agree with Bernie Miklasz. Jeff Fisher and Gregg Williams has a penchant on keeping additional pass rush specialist on the roster who are also good special team player. They had Gerald Rivers in the roster for majority of their season until he was waived and was picked up by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Early in his college career, Michael Sam has been a good special teams player and has gradually become one of the best defensive player in the SEC.

J.C.Copeland would be very valuable to a team running a West Coast Offense with the Running game as majority focus. Personally, I'd prefer the Rams getting Copeland because he'll plow a way for Zac Stacy and he's a good potential backfield bodyguard and check down pass catcher for Sam Bradford.

If Rams will only cut Langford post June 1 if they draft a DT in the upcoming draft (like the proposition of drafting Rashede Hageman).

Of all re-signing Saffold takes precedence. Their draft plans will be dependent on Saffold's re-signing. Shelley Smith will be re-signed to provide depth on both guard positions. Dahl and Scott Wells are sure cuts. Cortland's status will remain with the Rams and I'm confident he would take a paycut. He would rather play for less for Jeff Fisher and Gregg Williams than play for a coach he is not familiar like what William Hayes did last off season.  Dunbar is basically replaceable either if Ray Ray breaks out OR by a rookie LB (lots of good LB blitzers in the upcoming draft class).  I'd sign Kellen Clemens only as a possible mentor to the upcoming rookie QB and insurance during camp.

Upon reading the injury report today, Darian Stewart's name is still on the list.. personally it's becoming a wasted roster spot. Personally, I'd more him on IR-designated to return and promote Cody Davis.

Damn, I was spot-on about Kyle Van Noy.  I was able to watch the Michigan-ND game and Taylor Lewan has some flashes of the previous LT (Jake Long).  However between Lewan and Jake Mathews, Mathews gets my vote if ever the Rams picks since he's a upgraded version of Joe Barksdale.

I prefer McLeod over Darian Stewart at this stage of the season. He is more of the Flexi safety that Fisher prefers on his safeties and he's fast. Stewart's injury problems is catching up on him.  I'd prefer Benny Cunningham or iPead for kick returns.. 1 less load for Tavon Austin.  Read also the special teams play of Jonathan Stewart on the punting unit. Time for him to bump Jabara Williams.

@ZILLA It will depend on RR's performance at the Las Vegas Summer League. He he shows great improvements and scores more points than his last summer league I don't see why the Spurs won't give him a spot or at least put him on the D-League.

1 year ago on Grading the Pendegraph signing

Reply

@Spursfan66 I was referring to RR style of play as a "poor man's version" of TD not TD itself  based on the Euroleague video I have seen so far. No one can compare to TD. However you can discount his potential. a 6' 11" with some explosive move in the paint and has almost 2 year playing in the Euro league (sure the the Euro league is not as good as the NBA) but he's far from a raw player two years ago.

1 year ago on Report: Spurs nab Jeff Pendergraph

Reply

The Signing of Pendergraph gives the Spurs another tall veteran presence in the paint. I would assume Aron Bayness will be relegated to the D-League for further honing of his skills. Spurs are also bringing in Ryan Richards anyway who I dare say is a poor man's version of early Tim Duncan.

1 year ago on Report: Spurs nab Jeff Pendergraph

Reply

With 2 year playing Euro League I think Ryan Richards is mature enough to play in the NBA. Give him some pre-season refinements and he'll learn more under the Spurs system. Richards is far better player who will replace DeJuan Blair. He's explosive and is willing to learn.

1 year ago on Video: Ryan Richards BC Vienna Highlight Mix

He fits very well with the Spurs. They need add someone to groom as Tim Duncan's replacement. He has the skills which just needs refinement. A season or two with Tim Duncan can potentially help his value.
