@wendelsfist @McDickey Hockey is hockey, to me it don't matter what style of play it is I enjoy watching. All I care about is the W's

@Cameron19 @Burtonboy there's no way the story was a cover up not to pay him
NJ's line up tonight is definitely no walk over, In saying that I think the boys will build on their strong play at home.
@Cameron19 @McDickey @Mcost61 @Xxxxxnew I agree 100%, I'm a huge Kadri supporter and will continue to be. He has improved each and every year and I think it's only a matter of time until he really starts to flourish offensively.

@Savo43 @Mcost61 @Bring the Cup Home I say the same thing every year. We are not expected to win the cup this year but get us in the playoffs and see what happens. But to say we are not winning straight up is rediculous in my mind bc I know we can beat any team when we play at our top level.
@Bring the Cup Home If he is not a true one C then what is? I've argued the same that he's a 2C but his numbers tell a different story
@Xxxxxnew any team can win on any given night reardless of record or style
@Cameron19 @Mcost61 @Xxxxxnew O'reillys numbers? that would be a huge upgrade
@Cameron19 @Mcost61 @Xxxxxnew that is really impressive but still not enough for Leafs Nation or to be considered true number one
@Mcost61 @Xxxxxnew Have you not been watching him for 4 years?
@Tom S @McDickey The reason he is invisible is because he plays 2minutes a game. I also wouldn't call wanted to see him maintain a spot on the 4th line overreacting, my opinion was based on his play this season not one play.

@ProfessorRance @McDickey Well I was in fourth last week and top 3 get paid. I was looking to make a strong push soon with a big trade. That trade would have a bigger one following hopefully
@Ze_theLeafsFan I hope he picks it up I have him in my hockey pool he was on fire earlier in the year.
@Cameron19 @McDickey @Habskilla Well his offensive skills are far superior and he also plays top line minutes. All I'm saying is he has the bargaining chips to stand strong and go for a big contract.
@ProfessorRance @McDickey I just see Lupul going on a tear and bjudstad going ice cold
@Cameron19 @McDickey @Habskilla I just see him as greater than Dion and he gets 7x7
@Cameron19 @McDickey @Habskilla Arguable, to me that is high also but if he keeps these offensive numbers up hard to argue he doesn't deserve it. IMO I wouldn't go higher then 5mil either but teams will definitely give much higher then 5
@Xxxxxnew Pretty disrespectful by the son putting this in IMO
@Habskilla he will get a lot more then 5 in my opinion.
@Habskilla I would like Gardiner traded and Franson signed. Trade gardiner for a blue chip prospect so we don't lose youth. I would of said package for a top center but it is hard to expect anymore production at the center position.
I'm not sure if this has been brought up or not but Panik I feel has played great for a fourth line player, Booth as well. Not sure how we can fit him in when the club is fully healthy but he deserves a shot. When fully healthy I'd like to see these lines:
JVR - Bozak - Kessel
Lupul - Kadri - Booth
Komorov - Holland - Clarkson
Winnik - Santorelli - Panik
I just feel like Booth can offer more to that second line then Santo can even though santo has done an admirable job.
Side Fantasy note: In a keeper league would you guys trade Bjudstad + 4th for Lupul +8th? I'm 7th out of 14 and I'm 20pts out of first. I have bjudstad
@Jay_Berg I think what people are saying is for ppl to stop suggesting possible upgrades that aren't even as good as Bozak like ROR for instance. The other problem is everyone wants a star center south of 25 yet they are impossible to get, if we do get a stud center not through the draft it will be for a 28-29yr old like Richards or Staal.

@Burtonboy @wendelsfist Carlyle haters as well
@wendelsfist I think they're faking for Mcdavid
Also if Richards does come cheap he would fit in nice on a 3rd line shutdown line and can also play in an offensive role.
What trades would people like to see if we continue strong play and look likely to make playoffs at the deadline. We hear all about the negative fire sale trades and trading all of the vets but what do we do at deadline to strengthen this team.
JVR - Bozak - Kessel
Lupul - Kadri - Clarkson
Komorov - Holland - Santorelli
Booth - Winnik - Panik
Phaneuf - Franson
Rielly - Polak
Gardiner - Robidas
What I would like to see there is a RW top six forward (Iginla maybe?) brought in on second line and all RW'ers bumped back a spot.
@MaxwellHowe @Wilbur and I just repeated what you said only reading it now lol
@Wilbur @MaxwellHowe There is always high stick calls like that. It wasn't a bad call, player has to have control of his stick, it's to bad because it was a good defensive play by Robidas.
@Zep2 @McDickey Ya I seen that. I'm just saying I hope he sticks with it, he always gives him a brief look and then takes him out without even giving him a chance to get comfortable.
I hope Carlyle doesn't stray away from the Kadri on the PP experiment as it did lead to a goal. It isn't easy to just been thrown back there as a forward so there will be an adjustment period but I see this working as he has had some success in the past. One thing there is not a stat for is the 4th assist: Kadri swung the puck to JVR, JVR to Kessel, Kessel to Bozak and in. Just an example of how not all arguments can be based on production, I like the added weapon on the point and I think Kadri on the point opens up more space for the other 3 forwards as Kadri has to be respected.
@philthethrill He will definitely get suspended he punched the ref.

@Wilbur @ProfessorRance Im hoping Nonis will want to stay away from the longterm after the flack he got for Clarkson and Dion. Maybe he gets Cody for 3yr @ 18mil.
@Wilbur @ProfessorRance way to much but deserved if that makes sense.
@wendelsfist @Optimustic pretty sure kessel is on pace for 50 to isnt he? or he was a couple weeks ago
3 months, 1 week ago on Friday Mashup: Not Enough Games This Week
@wendelsfist I've always loved seguins game and it hurts inside. I have grown to love Kessel as he is obviously a special player but I would take Seguin over Kessel any day of the week. Cue the insults lol
@Black_Hawk + Gardiner + C.Brown
@Black_Hawk how much do you follow baseball. Trading Barreto is equivilent to trading away Nylander
Once Kozun returns I'd like to see:
Lupul - Kadri - Kessel
JVR - Bozak - Booth/kozun/Winnik
Winnik - Santorelli - Panik/Kozun
Booth looked good and fired up, I'd give him a chance playing some top 6 minutes as nobody has taken the vacant 2nd line RW spot by the horns.
@Great Dane @kxbarillas How are we going to pick high? Personally I think we have a playoff team here and we will finish 7 or 8th.

Answer to the Leafs Powerplay struggles:
JVR - Kadri - Kessel
Lupul - Franson
After faceoff Kadri covers the point or one of kessel,JVR,Lupul take the draw. Kadri has played point in the past and done excellent in OHL and WJ but has not even got a sniff in the NHL. We need a bit of creativity back there and were not getting it from any of our current Dmen. Look around the league at top teams top PP's and majority have 4 forwards. Right now I feel like teams aren't respecting our Point men.
@Jmessih he doesn't do that tho, always leaves his man just to stand there
3 months, 1 week ago on GDT: Game #22, Toronto Maple Leafs vs Pittsburgh Penguins (7:30, SN)
Phaneuf nice play in the corner but then leaves his man and gets lazy infront of the net letting Crosby just stand there
@sniperstar @McDickey @Alec Brownscombe Maybe a little soft but also a blatant grab right in front of the ref.
@mcloki @McDickey Rielly and Gardiner are mobile and have not faired any better mostly because they won't shoot when they have the opportunities
@Leafs_17 They also have Crosby, Malkin. Letang and Kunitz. We don't have the fire power to have a PP like that
@Alec Brownscombe had some momentum and Clarkson takes a stupid penalty
Our D are mobile to. It is the fact we dont one time and allow goalie and D to get set. We're so predictable.
@Leafs_17 @McDickey I know but a good PP one times the puck, our D never one time the puck.
@Leafs_17 Because they one time the puck?
