I have a feeling Nonis will make a big trade. Gone will be Reimer, Franson, Lupul, A few prospects possible mid rounds picks. Enough to really change the culture.I think these players are good players. But the leafs are finally realising you win with big strong men, mixed with some skill. Cant have too many nice guys.

Does anyone think the shit kicking Frasier Mcleran gave Josh Gorges a couple years ago had anything to do with his decision not to come to Toronto? Mcleran  was lauging the whole time he was kicking the crap out of Gorges. He was really humiliated by that.

Anyone think the Josh Gorges snub had everything to do with the beating he took from  Frasier Mclaren.Remember he was lauging at him the whole time. He humiliated him.

8 points in one game means hes got some skill. Maybe he looked bad because Edmonton was not a very good team. im sure Gagner on a team like Los Angles, would flourish.

The Problem this year is this. The Leafs were playing men against boys. Were a young team that has to realize if your not bleeding and wounded youll never be champions. I think some players are like movie stars and think more of money and stardom than rolling up there sleeves and puking from playing so tough and hard. Are the young Leafs ready to conform? Or do we start over and get rid of the China Dolls. Men need only to apply from here on in, hopefully Shanny understands this

Tough teams with skill always beat good teams with skill. ie Boston, L.A, St. Louis, Chicago. Leafs are a good skilled team, They will win nothing unless they get much tougher

Randy Carlyle stated that he wants the team to play tough, like the elite teams but hinted that he does not have the team to do it. there is a difference between Getzlaf , Perry, Pronger, ect than Kessel Bozak and Phanuef.

Well better luck next year leaf fans, crying and moaning can begin.Let turn our attention to the draft and trades for next year. Lets face it were not tough enough to compete like the elite teams can. Players that need to be replaced with tougher players next year are: Kadri, Kulimen, Raymond,Mclement, Gunnerson,Franson. Did i miss anyone?

Surprised how little is being talked about the contribution of the Serriff. Colton Orr has been huge for us so far. Talking on Perros twice, knocking him out by pulling him down on the ice, i think he took out the pac man with a huge hit. Then said fuck you to Mr Rosehill, with a how-do-you-do crosscheck to the chin. In my mind Orr is a top player on this team.

@Wilbur @clark sittler Can you imagine our team with Orr, Clarkson, Fraiser, Mclaren, and possible Devane, or Bodie.

10 months, 4 weeks ago on Morning Mashup: A Contender’s Core?

Keep in mind people Carlyle is a coach who believes fighting is key to the success of our young team. Frasiers out, Maclerens out, Ashton has a broken nose, hence the Devane call up.

10 months, 4 weeks ago on Morning Mashup: A Contender’s Core?

Let me preface my comments by saying with compassion i hope Parros is going to be okay. However the build up of the new Montreal toughness, seeing Parros beat Orr in the first fight, Ashton, getting smoked by Tinordi, what a season changing event seeing Parros out cold, led away by a stretcher, Montreal fans quiet as if they were at Church mourning a loved one. Considering hockey is a mans game and violent, can you imagine our team with Clarkson and the grim reaper Mcleran in the line-up. Injuries are the only road block  to the cup this year people. Plan on it.

Does anyone think Carlyle was protecting Leweikes son-in-law(Brodie) from the John Scott beat down? Very costly mistake. Brodie should have been on the ice, not Kessel. Now Clarkson gone for 10.The playoffs are so hard to make this year, could come down to 2 points.
