@benbackstreet  And the Kings couldn't figure out how to use "pure gold"!! Totally amazed  and baffled by this for 3 years!! And I'm not a Jimmer fanatic. I'm just more stunned no Kings coach knew how to use someone with such an offensive talent. "THE" most important talent in offense. Such a head shaker.

We'll see I guess with his new team whether he was really a wash or not.

Super Disappointed with the Kings. Even this New Organization couldn't find a way of using someone with this type of shooting talent. Unbelievable!! A team could be doing everything right in a game. But if you can't put the ball in the hole as the Kings couldn't do as in tonight's first quarter, YOU LOSE! Ultimately baskets wins games. And we got rid of the best capable shooter on the team. And couldn't find a way of using him!! Blown away Unbelievable!!! Sad day as a King fan and ashamed. Good Luck Jimmer and I wish you the best. And as much a King fan I am, I hope every time you play us, You Kill US!! We (the coaching staff) deserve every spanking you give us. Stay Classy and have a wonderful career!!

they have Jimmer at 1.217 PPS. IT at 1.318. Acy at 1.330 & Cus at 1.357. Didn't see a TS% header.

Don't get me wrong. I like and want Jimmer to really explode and start showing his stuff. He just needs more time on the floor. I think someone is nuts for not giving him more chances to shine.

@daddychop @Charger11  Well, we had a pass first PG in GV, no? Players need to get open in order to be passed to, No? And when passed to, shots need to go in the basket to count, no?

Why do you think Malone leaves IT in when he dribbles around looking for his shot? He's far from being a coach to not sit a player who he disapproves of their play.

IT's strength is breaking down the defense with his dribbling to find a shot. And his percentages are high. So teams double him trying to stop him. It's then IT looks for the other open player to pass to. Unlike Gay who never seems to pass and who takes horrible shots no matter how many people are doubling up on him. I always feel more comfortable when IT shoots than any other on the team. He's got the touch more so than many on the team, most nights. And usually he takes over late in the game because those who he does find open are not consistent with their shots taken and we are behind in points. Granted, Gay can make some amazing shots in those situations mentioned above. But he should be the one your complaining about when it comes to "moving the ball and playmaking". Teams double up on him just like they do with IT. In my observation, he's the most "shoot first" one on the team.

@TABDOG  Yea, he does seem to be a Good Guy!! I'd like to see him finish strong this year. I had good feelings that he'd have a rebound year during this past summer. So far, I'm proud of him and how he's done. I still feel he's gonna get a little better before the years out.

@TABDOG  Agree with you on the Malone comment. Jimmer's shooting numbers are decent considering his minutes. And did well when he got good time in the game the other night. Malone sees something we don't. I see good scoring and percentages. Defense isn't everything when you don't have high percentage scoring on the floor. For some reason, that doesn't seem to be of a value for Malone. I'm baffled by that. There are many in the league who can't do both and yet they play and are valued on other teams.

@TABDOG  All I'm saying is, He not as bad as you make him out to be. To me, it seems a lot of folk give him a back hand afterthought. He has been very productive and beneficial coming off the bench. His numbers aren't great. But I do like what he does when he gets in the game. He rebounds, makes Big 3's when needed and with those arms of his, does a good job of defending. He plays with heart and hustle. And he contributes well in my opinion.

And I know you were tired. I was just doing the math for you as directed. Take Care! Didn't mean to seem like I was going off on you.

@sebass31 @snooch2danooch The Kings have never used Jimmer to any great extent. The argument that they won't use him because he's likely going to sign with another team is Crazy. What's Crazy is for Jimmer to stay with a team that has yet to give him a decent chance of developing into anything.

His percentages are very very good for the time he is given. Yes, maybe not the best defender but he hustles far more than most on the team. And his shooting is too good not to utilize. Say what you will about defense and I totally agree defense is big but hitting the buckets more frequently wins games just as much!! I just can't understand how this is not a value on a basketball team!!!

And his game against Brooklyn is a perfect example. He was given great minutes. He scored in the IT, Cuz and Gay range. And we won the damn game!!

Gay tried 3 times to go up with the ball. The first 2 times he's stop due to being hit across his right arm. What else would have stopped his upward momentum in this clip? The 3rd you can't see because his body is blocking the ball from this angle. Apparently that's the one that resulted into the jump ball which is wrong too. It just got smacked out of his hands.

James Ham, I don't know what you're not seeing. Gay was whacked across his right arm twice. Once by Lee, then Conley. End of Story, dude. Plus IT got the no call also.

Sure we should have played better at the end. But it doesn't excuse the Ref no calls on fouls.

I agree McLemore and Williams do round out the team just fine and are great additions with high potential!

"IT also has an uncertain future. " 3rd behind Curry and Paul. Geez, what do you want? He's gotten better every year and the Kings are far better when he's on the floor. Plus he's already proven he can play exceedingly well in the NBA. You want to take a chance on a rookie?

Glad to see Jimmer get more time. I'm really rooting for him to come out of his 3 pointer shooting shell. But he, like anyone else, is going to need some decent time on the floor to find his shot.

Thornton is just not finding his stroke anymore. I'm fairly ready for him to move on. But not if he's going to come out of it eventually.

Fredette's already showed what he brings. This was another players night to shine.

We've got deep and varied talent at the SG. Most teams would love this luxury. Why are so many wanted Jimmer to leave.

This coaching staff understands what a coup they have. Many weapons, especially when the "best of best", have off nights, are a coaches luxury.

Ya know, given all the Maloofisms, relocation woo's and coaching instability, who else would they put below us.

But our fans, through thick and thin, should have elevated us somewhat. King fans always showed Class, even for opposing teams and players when it's warranted. Considering Raider Nation and that scaring bunch not being family fare that much, you think we could have, at least, been raised above them.

But those things I mentioned above, were probably weighted too much.

No matter. Better days are  coming.

@Kings fan No sure what you were watching and when but I saw every game.  Jimmer going into the lane produced and show plenty of ability and talent. No So Smart, would put him in, in the 4th quarter in a losing game and he'd bring us back to a chance of winning. Then 'not so' would pull him and put in the starters and we'd lose so many times,. It was infuriating!!

@SSSDMC15 I, SO, Agree!! I sure hope the new coaching staff thinks this way too. At least, give it a season to find out before you start offering him on a plate to who ever we play in the future. His stats are great considering his time given to play.

And just so you know, he was also very good off the ball. Very active to get open. And when he drove to the basket, he had to touch to get the basket and the foul. Imagine with some good descent minutes, what he could do. Such a weapon "not so smart" didn't know how to use.

1 year, 3 months ago on Poll: Who is your favorite Sacramento King?

JH: I’ll just say that if I was starting a team, I would choose Jimmer over Thornton. He’s younger, cheaper and can really shoot. But the Kings need a starter for at least the first 40 games. Thornton is a better fit for that situation.

OK. Why? You say all good thing about him but trade him and Thornton is better, Why? Thornton is more of a one trick pony than Jimmer. Thornton is an "inconsistently hot" spot up shooter. So is Jimmer plus he can do it far deeper more consistently. Jimmer moves well. Gets in the paint with dishes and baskets. Excellent shooter all around. Why is Thornton a better fit? Thornton can get hot from long range. Not always. But no better than Jimmer.  Again, everyone says his minutes are limited. Is that his fault? That's coaching, not a player stat if you ask me. And since when is Coach Smarts rotations lauded as superior to anything while he was here?

Give him better minutes, He will produce. He produced with limited minutes. I don't see where you guys come off with this logic. He's stats are great for the minutes he's been allowed. Lets see what he can do with more minutes plus this new coaching and culture the Kings now have.
