bertans. livio jean charles, adam hanga, deshuan thomas. and we still have ryan richards rights. spurs have done a great job of quietly collecting young talent to go with kawhi

im shocked, the spurs must really feel that when howard gets healthy again hes that much better than corey maggette and sam young, i am still not convinced but the spurs must really like howard for them to even give him a unguaranteed contract being injured

no tony, no manu? thats alittle disrepect considering manu and tony have had way better careers than all of those guys combined

no reason to believe in him when he hasnt improved by himself. i can see if he improved every year in a category but he didnt

1 year, 1 month ago on DeJuan Blair feels Spurs didn't believe in him

Reply

doubt it, imo blair still wont develop a jumpshot and will probably be the same raw player he is for the mavs as he was for us. if thats the case the spurs have nothing to worry about. this guy is no luis scola, meaning he isnt a big that has any type of skills, hes a raw rebounder at best. spurs can deal with that

where is danny money greens video? i already know kawhistar is working hard in the gym hes a gym rat. aron baynes is improving, where is tiago and danny green doing? boy i hope they are working on their games.  tiago needs a jumpshot. danny money green needs ball dribbling skills and finishing at the rim and midrange game

1 year, 1 month ago on Video: Aron Baynes putting in offseason work

Reply

blair should have developed skills like a jumpshot and some low post moves. we need skilled big man in our system and dejuan blair is as raw on offense as he is when he got drafted, that tells me all i need to know, he hasnt developed and sort of offensive skill

tim is gonna have a great season in 2013-2014 because he is still motivated to win another ring. we are still on a mission.

umm. not sure how i feel, the front office cant possibly believe keeping the backup small forward spot is a good idea. we need a kawhi backup. i guess the office wants a veteran who will actually play in the playoffs

1 year, 1 month ago on Report: Deshaun Thomas to play in Spain

i think hes gonna compete with bonbon and jeff pendergraph for the 4th big. tiago and tim start, diaw is automatcially the 3rd big. so its bonbon, baynes and jeff for two big spots. somebody is gonna be left on the inactive list. of course bonbon isnt gonna ever be cut loose or traded smh, but its betweet baynes and jeff and i dont think spurs paid him 2 mil a year to be on the inactive list. there i think i just answered my own question. imo baynes can be like a chris anderson type of big which we need, a big that dunks everything, can block shots and he does have some offense but hes mainly a rebounder and bruiser. i hope we can trade bonbon and open up a spot so he can actually play.

1 year, 1 month ago on Baynes: It's about complementing what's in place with Spurs

he needs to be in that freaking gym working on his handles and mid range game and being a better finisher at the rim so he cant get taken out of a series so easily, he needs to be doing that instead of traveling all over the world.

he has some manu in him so that by itself should make him a fan favorite. and he can hit big shots. excellent yet underrated pickup by the spurs. we are better than the team that lost in game 7 by adding marco to the team.

im not in agreement with tp. everyone but him is resting, hell even kawhi put team usa on hold to rest and get healthy. everyone realizes we have unfinished business but tony. he is the main guy that should be resting and gearing up for another long championship run. if we had won it all then i wouldnt mind but we didnt, so that means we still have a mission to complete.

1 year, 2 months ago on Parker to take it easy before Eurobasket, says France isn't the favorite

Reply

i think is safe to say oden is choosing the heat. mo williams would take the gary neal role, but he is a much better ball handler than gary is. mo is kinda like a gary neal close tbh, both can hit big shots, both can shoot you in a game or out of a game. both dont offer much else to help a team win either. mo would give the spurs some experience behind parker if pop chooses to play mo as the backup pg. but that would have to signal a trade of nando and/or cory if we do sign mo williams. alot of ifs and ands. but one thing is for sure, the spurs are still being active and that tells me they still think some guys out there can help improve the team. so thats good.

1 year, 2 months ago on Report: Spurs could be in mix for Mo Williams

Reply

deshuan could be the next chandler parsons, a guy who stayed in college too long according to some people, anyway they said the same about parsons, thats why he was drafted in the second round instead of the first round, they said hes not that athletic and isnt that great of a defender, but they left out the part that he has a very good IQ, knows how to play and is very skilled. thats basically what they are saying about deshuan thomas

1 year, 2 months ago on Video: Deshaun Thomas in action

Reply

you dont have to be a great athlete to be successful in the nba, its a plus, but it doesnt make or break a guys career. thomas has the skills to stick in the league, its gonna have to be on the defensive end, if he was a better defender he would have been a first rounder, to me hes like a marcus thornton, marcus fell to the second round a couple of years ago because he wasnt a great athlete and he was a poor defender, but boy can marcus thornton light up the score board, i think thomas wont ever be a good or great defender, but he will be at least an average one playing under coach pop. this guy is a teller gary neal but also can score inside  and rebound a bit too. he has all the makings of a second round steal. go spurs go

hey im just saying that if i was danny, i would be in the gym night and day working on my weakness, the heat exposed me for being three pt threat and nothing more, i would be working on my dribbling, so every time i dribble and somebody closes out, i wont turn the ball over like i did in the finals. he should be working on his midrange game and attacking the rim with both hands. buy hey if he doesnt want to get better thats him. riding a horse wont help the spurs get back to the finals. and definitely wont help him improve his game. thats for damn sure

its about damn time he hurry up and makes a decision, hes acting like he a proven superstar free agent that can take all the time in the world. you would think somebody would want to hurry up and make a decision so he can get used to the cirty and the teams medical staff and what the team wants him to work on in the offseason but not greg oden. he takes his sweet time like hes gonna be that championship difference maker lol too funny

1 year, 2 months ago on Spears: Greg Oden to make free agent decision next week

right now baynes is the 6th big behind tim, tiago the softy, diaw, bonbon and jeff. if he realistically wants to not be wearing a suit hes really gonna have to outplay bonner and jeff pendergraph and force the spurs to trade bonner to open up a spot so he can be activated. training camp and preseason will be very huge for him

blair can help a team, its just unfortunate that he cant really help us anymore, he doesnt fit and type of big that we need in san antonio. but he should go to a team that is more periemter oriented like a goldent state or the suns. a team that is so fast paced that they dont really focus on great defense. thats a team that he can succeed on. ditto for neal. i am shocked that neal and blair havent been picked up yet. especially when u have other free agents that arent as good as they are that are getting picked up. im surprised the rockets havent made a pitch to blair or neal

so the spurs have tim, tiago who starts. diaw is the assumed 3rd big off the bench. then u have bonner, baynes and pendergraph all fighting for 4 and 5th big spots. i assume baynes is gonna be left out of the rotation, AGAIN :( but he should still play because of tim getting his days off and what not.

1 year, 2 months ago on Pendergraph discusses why he chose San Antonio and more

im not sure parker did his best but it might not have been his fault, game 3 was the last game he was 100% healthy. and if he was healthy, and manu was at least a good and consistent manu the spurs would have won it all in 5 games instead of losing in that dreaded game 6 and ultimately game 7

well not as bad as a tear so im alittle more calm. but all of our top 3 foreign players/future spurs had all had surgery so early in their careers which is not bad, but not good. hopefully this doesnt stunt either of those guys development because all 3 of bertans, jean-charles and adam hanga have really good nba potential. go spurs go

i think we overhyped ak-47 alittle bit. trust me, he wont be the difference in whether the nets win or dont win the title, neither for us either. he was have been a plus, but the spurs major difference maker is already on the team and his name is KAWHI LEONARD with another season under his belt. can anyone say ALL STAR!!!!

i know kawhi is probably dissappointed but i know the spurs staff told kawhi not to worry, get healthy this offseason and take a break and in the future we all know kawhi will get plenty of opportunties to play for team usa. this is about getting ready for his big time all star introduction this upcoming year.
