Seems more likely that this is a long term target. They turned themselves into an instant contender by gobbling up bad contracts, but once those are out of the system and they're producing young talent regularly the target is to be beneath 190.

Well, the author instantly identifies himself as a philistine boob by opening with Vile Bodies, which is a great comic novel. Can't imagine why he'd expect to be taken seriously after that.
