Proud Season Ticket Holder
If Manu plays this summer the spurs should cut him, pretty messed up that he hasn't given the spurs nothing but missed games, his two turnovers cost us the title last year and yet he wants to play for Argentina.....not right, man I can not wait this guy retires...
4 months, 4 weeks ago on Ginobili says he still might play for Team Argentina this summer
I think DeColo can be a very solid player for the spurs he showed glimpses of it last season....this season he is going to be depended on more because Marco is going to need time to learn the offense.
Manu is gone in two years and DeColo can be his replacement I totally believe in that
1 year ago on De Colo talks about rookie season, lessons learned with Spurs
What the hell does flopping have anything to do with him not playing in the summer games.......let be real the Heat flopped way more than the spurs....
1 year ago on Spliiter won't suit up for Brazil this summer
O man !!!!! if they trade Diaw and let Splitter walk they will still have 16 million in cap space, resign Manu to a 4 million deal sign Neal to 2 million and still have 9 million to get Monta Ellis
1 year ago on Report: Spurs in 'serious' talks in acquiring Marcin Gortat
This makes a lot of sense Monta Ellis gives this team a scoring threat that can create shots for himself as well as other people....yes we will be lacking defense but we have Danny Green, Kahwi Leonard and others to pick up the slack on defense. You can't overlook the benefit of having a guy like Monta Ellis on your team can you image if we resigned Manu, Splitter, and Neal and Ellis ( if he wants to take a paycut to come here).
The Spurs would not only be a deadly team but that will also be a young team and the new Big Three would be Leonard, Parker, Ellis (6th man) then have Duncan, Manu, Green and Neal to deal with......dam that would be a scary team....
1 year ago on Could Spurs make a run at Monta Ellis?
Draft this guy RC you won't regret it...he can defend and shoot what's there not to like about him

“In my case I still have Game 6 in my head,” said Ginobili. “But being so close and feeling that you are about to grab that trophy, and then seeing it vanish is very hard.”
Considering that Ginobili single handedly cost us this series I find this statement really funny....Please RC don't bring him back...
Anyways on the the offseason........Josh Smith is what this team reLly needs to get back to the finals next year.
1 year, 1 month ago on A series they will always remember, Spurs unable to dethrone Heat
I completely agree I lost all respect for Manu after that 2006 WF.....and I wanted to choke him when RC Buford begged him not to play in the international games in 2008 due to his bad ankle and what did he do he played screwing his ankle up more and missing the last part of the season knowing he was our biggest scoring threat.....Man I can go on and on.....I'm tired of Ginobili.....It's gone as far as I won't renew my season tickets until Ginobili is gone I can't take this anymore if we lose tomorrow and Manu has anything less than a game 5 as far as turnovers, he owe us the spurs and his teammates a good game.
Fans call him great Manu needs to prove it......I don't think he deserves to up in the rafters
1 year, 1 month ago on With title in grasps, Spurs fail to close out series and Heat force Game 7 with overtime win
It's this thought right here that is a problem spurs fan label him as a great player yet though out his career he has had a lot of moments where he plays great but he equally amount of moments where he plays like crap and I'm sorry the bad outweighs the good. Do I think Ginobili is a good player.....absolutely do I think he is a great player.....NO, but his performance in this finals will determine if he should be considered a legend or just a good player there is no in between.
Ginobili has the intangible but we need more than that to beat the Heat, with the Heat swarming Parker and Duncan struggling, If Ginobili is this "great player" that people like to coin him then he knows he need to start contributing more and make clutch shots (1-5 for 5 pts, 2 ast, 1 TO in 25 minutes) is not going to cut it.
1 year, 1 month ago on Manu no longer the threat he used to be
If Manu is this so called "Great Player" then he will start taking over like Wade did last night.....like I said time and time again the Spurs need Manu more than ever, he is the only player the heat can't guard and he knows it.
Good because I think of Manu like that, in fact, I wanted the Spurs to trade Parker for Chris Paul.....why you ask becuase i grew tired of Parker always scoring he needed to be more of a complete PG becuase this team needed him to be....now look at what happened Tony Parker evolved into the best PG in the league he learned how to pas, he learned how to create shots for teammates and most of all improve his shot. This was the parker I wanted to see and now I wouldn't trade Parker even if Lebron was on the table...
I was furious when we gave him the extension 4 years ago....yes Ginobili is old but he only 35 he should be producing a little better than what he is currently doing.
What separates great player from good players is their ability to adjust to present and change for the future, this is why Timmy is Legend, and Parker evolved into the best PG in the league. Manu Ginobili has the intangibles to be good but intangibles don't always get the job done he needs to produce (cause turnovers, create shot for our sharp shooters, draw fouls, etc. ) spurs Nation says he is a great player well then we will find out.
( Manu I hope your reading this) This is the time to shrine Manu, here is your chance to be great to be listed as one of the true Spurs Legends the Spurs need you more than ever, you are the only player that the Heat can't stop time to shrine
God I hope we don't get cash strapped by Ginobili again,
To ChrisCano, I completely agree he is not that great he never averaged more than 20 pts per game in a season, has only played more than 70 games 6 times out of 11 seasons and while he has posted good numbers he has never been able to dominate without Timmy and Parker, I honestly do not remember if there has been a time that Tim and Parker have been out and Ginbili carries the team on his back...I can't recall.
Manu Ginobili got lucky playing with Parker and Tim Duncan but he has always been the third guy and that dosent equal great in the eyes of the league only in the eyes of Spurs Nation.
For as many good moments Ginobili has had he has also had some very bad moments and now when we need Ginobili more than ever where is he.........that's right no where to be found, maybe if my beloved Spurs fans can half the energy into ripping Ginobili that we do in hating LeBron he just might be listening.
Agree Howard is overrated but he can be great with a coach like Popovich, however Dwight wants rings handed to him he dosent want to have to work for them this is why he wanted to go to Brooklyn so bad so he could pair with Deron.
The only defense I can give to Howard is that during his stint at Orlando he had crappy PGs and a player with his skill set he needs an elite PG to help him create his shot ...could be why he wanted to pair with Deron so badly......well the Spurs have the best and most accomplished PG in the league in Tony Parker so if Howard wants to win then he will sign with San Antonio otherwise he dosent want to win
1 year, 1 month ago on Report: Dwight Howard has Spurs as possible landing spot
If Howard says he wants rings then the only teams that should be on his radar is OKC ( cash strapped) Miami ( cash strapped unless then somehow trade Bosh for just draft picks) and San Antonio that's, he shouldn't give time nor day to all other teams.
Howard is an idiot ( which he has proven that he is) if he thinks San Antonio is not the best fit for him, he will have the best front office in the league arguably best in sports) he will have a hall of fame coach, future hall of fame PF in Tim, will have Green and Leonard, lockdown defenfers on the wings and most of all he will have the best point guard in the league in Tony Parker what's there not to like about that.
With all that being said, its almost to perfect that it will not happen because
1. Howard is an idiot and he doesn't know what he wants.
2. He is all about himself and money this man cares about no one and to think that he will put that aside to the betterment of a team , especially a team like the spurs, is crazy.
3. This man plays with no heart to be a spur you need determination, work ethic, be coachable, and most of all you must have heart all of these Dwight Howard has proven that he lacks all these skills.
I would love to Howard on this team, he is perfect for this team and we will win rings with this team the problem is and always will be Dwight Howard himself.
