@Zep2 Robben is getting ready:
2 months ago on Draft Day Two Wrap Up: Gunnarsson for Polak, offensive focus to Leafs’ draftees
@TheCanucksnaphook Because it's a great sport. But shit like that dive, the stupid ref buying it, the stupid commentators on CBC who don't mention anything about the performance, do make me wonder....
@RandomScrub @DJBrianBurke @Optimustic I love the hands flailing in the air and the agonized look on his face.A lot of work went into that performance.
@Zep2 That was a dive though. Ref bought it.
@LeafsGuru How many 5-6 D do you need though? This solves nothing for the Leafs.
Also, the Leafs hand out picks like candy. I wonder what Poulin thinks of Nonis.
2 months ago on Maple Leafs Trade Carl Gunnarsson, 4th round pick for Roman Polak
@LeafsForLife @wyatt956 Rangers vs. Montreal. Two great goalies but otherwise a whole shitload of mediocre players. Exciting stuff.
3 months, 2 weeks ago on Carlyle Returns
Two great team in the West final : Chicago vs. Anaheim or LA
The East on the other hand.....
@loomx @wyatt956 @Xxxxxnew Maybe you are right. But production quality means nothing to me next to Glenn Healy and his continual and meaningless noise. And Simpson is not much better.
@Xxxxxnew Good. CBC has the worst broadcast team out there.
@wiski @MikeGartner11 The abuse that guy receives on the ice from opposing players is ridiculous. Slashing crosschecking, roughing,- you name it he gets and the refs only call a fraction of it.
@wiski @DJBrianBurke Why is it that CBC's main team is so bad?
Craig Simpson says nothing interesting or nothing that illuminates the game for me. Healy is a nut -stupid and even hysterical. It bothers me that he gets paid money to do what he does.
@Jmessih Both deserve blame. But you can fire a coach- you can't fire a team. Not sure why he is sticking around. Seems like an odd solution to me.
3 months, 3 weeks ago on Sticking by the wrong guy
@Cameron19 @darthNihilus @Bruffins Friedman says that Carlyle will lose a lot of power, particularly in choosing the roster. Bolland won't be re-signed if that is the case.
@~Keon And the West was the opposite- top four teams advance including the Marlies.
3 months, 3 weeks ago on Toronto Marlies announce Round 2 Playoff Schedule vs. Chicago Wolves
@Sexyhairyman Kessel is going to be 27 and Phaneuf is nearing 30. So the question is do you keep those guys (and Lupul) when it is clear that this core is not going to win a Cup?
There would seem to be two paths: you add to it (Stasny, ROR) or do you blow it up. I'm frankly for selling Kessel etc. (although I like him) and trying to rebuild with the younger guys.
I think the Leafs will take some hybrid model -a bit of adding, a bit of development that won't produce anything of note. Just my guess.
3 months, 3 weeks ago on All Of Phil Kessel’s 37 Goals – 2013/2014
@hometeem @CanuckUKinToronto I didn't care about the Philly-Ranger game because neither will win the Cup. The East has one good team- if they make it they have a chance. None of the others do (Pitt maybe an outside chance).
4 months ago on Tim Leiweke on TSN 1050
@~Keon If you can't beat a team when you have them down 3 games to 0, then you don't deserve to advance. Whatever the talent level.
@[BBirde] @Bruffins You underestimate Franson. He's about to breakout.
@~Keon Brown or Finn score?
4 months, 1 week ago on Frederik Gauthier joins Marlies, Andreas Johnson gets SHL rookie of the year recognition
How did SJ acquire such depth? I remember just 2 years ago the concerns that they were an aging team whose time had passed (much like Vancouver)
4 months, 1 week ago on Toronto Marlies to face Milwaukee Admirals in Round 1
@Jmessih You really do notice the difference when you listen to Hrudy immediately after listening to Craig Simpson/ Glenn Healy.
Healy is just stupid. He is like the stupid loudmouth fan sitting behind you at the game who never shuts up.
@Rick_Vaives_slapshot Yes, I love watching teams with shitty support and little local interest in the sport like Tampa or Carolina win the Cup. It reminds me what a truly special place Bettman's NHL has become.
@wendelsfist @Rick_Vaives_slapshot @Wilbur After the west coast trip, the Leafs had a 90% chance of making the playoffs accoring to sports club stats. 90%.
It takes a truly special kind of awfulness to beat those odds.
Watching Tampa makes me want to cry- how could the Leafs be worse than these chumps?
@Conis Let's be honest though -TB is the worst team in the playoffs. That defence....
@CanuckUKinToronto Series over
@reenergized @wyatt956 @Jmessih I mean the Montreal player hit the TB into the goalie- penalty there
@Jmessih Either it's an interference penalty or it's a goal. Ron has been out to lunch for a couple years now.
@rustynail They have been bad in most of the playoffs. I really have no idea what they are going to call and not call.
@[BBirde] It's awesome hockey. I haven't seen Colorado play this year, but they are so much fun to watch.

@ProfessorRance @Belfour20 Yes, especially if you live in Vancouver -land of the frontrunning fans.
5 months, 3 weeks ago on Shark Club Game Day: Game #66, Maple Leafs at Ducks
@Cameron19 After Price the goaltending is wide open. I think Bernier could be on that team.
6 months, 1 week ago on TEAM CANADA WINS GOLD – EASILY
@Pent_House I like it especially the return of Komarov. I would like to see Holland at 4C though- maybe McClement to the wing.

6 months, 2 weeks ago on Team Canada vs. Team Finland Open Thread
@ingy56 Russia will have to play the Finns. That'll be a tough game for them.
@ingy56 And beat Russia in the finals. Perfect
@ingy56 Ugh, the Swiss. Their style is ugly and frustrating.
@Belfour20 @Cameron19 They are not getting in his face or tipping pucks
@CanuckUKinToronto They need to get to and in front of the net. Finns are conceding the perimeter and protecting the middle. And vice versa- keep them out of Price's face. If they do that, they should win. It looked the forward lines were starting to roll just before that goal.
@Bruffins @wyatt956 @Jordan29 That is what I thought the moment he scored. Dion would have done a better job there.
@Jordan29 Vlasic was at fault for that goal. He needs to box his man out better.
@Knights2Leafs If he is not playing with Crosby, he shouldn't been playing.
@BBirde Actually he got cut off twice.
@ingy56 That guy is hilarious. I love his one-liners and that might be the funniest.
6 months, 4 weeks ago on Phil Kessel Appreciation Thread
@Pent_House @wyatt956 They still have to win those games. But I guess with all the 3 point games.....
7 months ago on Game Recap: Game #54, Jets 5 vs. Leafs 4 (OT)
Odd fact- although the Leafs sit 4th in the conference, they have only a 45% chance of making the playoffs according tho this site. By contrast Montreal is at 77% and New York at 58%.
If Carlyle is consistent then Reims should start. He ran with Bernier when he was hot, so Reims should get the same treatment.

Yeah good summary. But I liked the Game in 10.

That STL rumour is interesting. Still have Pietrangelo and Stewart to
sign. Their budget last year was 50 milliion and they are already at 47.
