31 years old and an avid Leafs fan and music collector. Will gladly talk about either for hours on end.
@peterbleafs @darthNihilus You are joking, right? He played alright in 2 playoff games and now we should've kept him? A career .900 save pct. That's a borderline NHL'er at best.

@DeclanK @moimoi @DWCMLHS @Zep2 Yeah, looking back at it I wouldn't either. Although I'm hesitant to say anything on drafts for 5 years. Usually by then you have a clear picture of the 1st round anyways.

@DeclanK @DWCMLHS @Zep2 I always had him third behind Yakupov and Galy, and didn't think it was a stretch that they could've had him #1
Hey Lads! Long time no see or talk. Anyways, just want to put it out there that the Leafs were scouting Virtanan heavily in Saskatoon this year. I'm not sure what that means in the long run, but we know they are interested at least. He's also friends with Rielly(which I realize has no bearing on whether they draft him or not).
Anyways, just thought I would let you know. See you around!

Tonight was the night where I lost all faith in Reimer(I Blame Carlyle for this still) and I'm pretty much over Dion Phaneuf. Can he not play the penalty kill anymore for fucks sake!

@Cameron19 @DJBrianBurke It's Jeremy Jacobs league. You're just realizing this? ;) Boston has always got the calls, and having Colin Campbell in their pocket hasn't helped one little bit.

So Mckenzie was just talking about the class of the Atlantic conference in the Wings and the Bruins. Then the Habs and Lightining are off to good starts, and the Sens are trying to pull back in. *Cue a record stopping* Ummm, I'm pretty sure some unmentioned team sitting up on top of that graphic is the class of the division right now. The Leafs are officially the Rodney Dnagerfield's of the Atlantic, they get no respect!
@Cameron19 P.S. I'm not really serious.
9 months, 1 week ago on Leafs Prospect Update – October 14
@Cameron19 You know Philly will try to get in on a trade for Yak if they think he's available. Couturier, Schenn, Schenn to Edmonton?
@Cameron19 @moimoi @LeafsForLife @TheColborneUltimatum Myers=Shit
@Cameron19 @moimoi They started Fasth 2 of the first 3 games. He outplayed Hiller in camp this year. I wasn't talking about last year. But yeah, Hiller is playing better now that the season is going.
@Cameron19 @LeafsForLife @moimoi @TheColborneUltimatum Yuck! I despise every one of those teams. Habs don't have an A defence prospect of young guy they can trade for him, and neither does Buffalo really. Although, Miller could be shipped I suppose.
@Cameron19 @moimoi I guess I was thinking that cause Fasth won the job out of camp, or at least was in the 1a spot. I see that Hiller is outplaying him though.
@TheColborneUltimatum @moimoi @Cameron19 I am. I think he's got the ability to be something special. Just so young and raw at this point.
@Cameron19 Isn't Hiller more available than Fasth? I can't see Anderson traded.
@Cameron19 Edmonton should trade him, no matter what. They have no use for him. Even if he becomes better than Eberle(also terrible defensively), he's not the western boy that grew up cheering for the Oilers. Their first line is set, right or wrong. They could trade him for a huge return.
@Cameron19 @moimoi Yakupov was pretty adamant from a young age that he only wanted to play in the NHL though. I don't know, I think the kid is here to stay, just a gut feeling. I don't believe anything the media says, especially if it's the russian media. They twist pretty much everything they can.
@Cameron19 @moimoi Yeah, name a russian player they haven't said that shit about. They pulled the same crap with Malkin too, citing his father.
Now, I'm not saying he won't eventually go but after two benchings I doubt edmonton has anything to worry about on that front.
Rumour started by KHL reporters, Yakupov never said anything.
@DWCMLHS @mike_84 Marc Staal is easily one of the most overrated players in the league. In fact the Rags have a couple of the most overrated players in the league.
9 months, 1 week ago on Leafs Notebook (Part 1) – The looming Rielly decision
@-Keon- He's never got a big shot to play up in the line-up though and he is only 20 years old. Could still be a defensively responsible 60-70 point guy.
@MaxwellHowe @Burtonboy Lowe is beyond idiotic. I can not understand the free pass he gets. What's worse though, is that they continually put him in the braintrust for team Canada.
@Jon5200 I can't stand Friedman. I mean, he's entitled to his opinions. I just think he's a moron.
9 months, 2 weeks ago on Leafs Notebook – October 7
@MaxwellHowe He had one bad game. Not exactly a cause for concern.
@DeclanK @moimoi It says at the start, they all seem to think that the Leafs were/are due for a regression cause of bad "advanced" metrics.
History says the Leafs will score around 3 goals a game, if you do the math. Do they honestly believe that Bernier/Reimer will give up over 3 goals a game? I'm just curious. The assumption seems to be because of bad CORSI they will fail, but it just isn't measuring what these players can do offensively, and have done repeatedly in their careers.
9 months, 3 weeks ago on Maple Leafs Hot Stove Hangout – Episode #5
Can I just say one thing on stat guys. First off know that I'm a huge math geek and this is the part that leaves me puzzled. The stat guys seem to agree that Toronto were/are in for a regression because they had unbelievable puck luck(cause that's an actual thing, lol) and all their quatifiable stats point to there success as unattainable. However, that doesn't actually make any sense. These "advanced" metrics use shots as their barometer, so if we are figuring on shots alone(which they are) some relatively quick math would lead you to believe the Leafs will score nearly 3 goals a game based on avg shots per game and career shooting percentages and average games played, which they believe are quantifiable stats. So tell me, where do they get their information from, or at least how in the hell are they arriving at it? Or do they just believe the Leafs will give up a shit ton of goals?
@Cameron19 @dlb eh Yeah, I was trying to figure that out too. I still remember a lot of people on here talking about how we are going to regret letting Gus go, and we should've traded Reimer. In fact, that seemed like tha majority, or at least they had the loudest voices. lol
@Marlies Man I hated that trade. It wasn't that I thought we shouldn't move Tlusty at the time, I just realized we weren't getting anything in return for him.

@Dan39 @moimoi @Jordan29 @Jay_Berg for an AHL goalie he's alright. He's not an NHL quality goaltender.
@Jordan29 @Jay_Berg Oh god! I hope MacIntyre isn't the back up.
@Yaknowwhat @moimoi Either way, it's always good to see a team getting along and having fun. Hey, Clarke!?!
@Biltmore @moimoi lol. That's awesome!
Did anyone notice the laughter on the bench between Orr, Bolland and Carlyle at the start of the shootout? I kind of wonder what was said there. Seem's like those guys really hate that big jerk Carlyle. ;)
So I was thinking this during the game, but in the battle of former #2 picks from New Jersey JVR>>>>Ryan

@Jordan29 Me too. And Gunnar was worse than Ranger tonight.
@Wilbur The net actually lifted up when that hit, I don't ever remember seeing that.

@Belfour20 @moimoi @mr_hanie Mine too. Not a fake smarmy guy.
@Belfour20 @moimoi @mr_hanie I was talking about Carlyle actually. I never give a rats ass for MacA. He had one real nice season for us, but the team was garbage. Scoring 20 goals on a bad team is like scoring 10 on a good team. Those guys who put up stats on bad teams out of nowhere, rarely ever repeat their success with a decent team.
@mr_hanie @Belfour20 Did you watch his press conference today? The guy seems legitimately nice. In fact he reminds of a guy I work with to a tee, who is a super nice guy. MacA was always a lazy player, and he probably hated Lindy Ruff too. He whines about being benched, I would've benched him a lot quicker than Carlyle did.
@mike_84 38 points in last 37 AHL games at defence. He's too good for the league. I wonder if anyone has looked at converting him into a forward?
@NotInsane @mr_hanie @moimoi Let's hope so. D'Amigo would've been a good call up too, IMO. I think his game will take a jump when he get's here. Always way better in the playoffs.
@mr_hanie @moimoi I wondered that as well. Would've come in all piss and vinegar. But I think we've been doing this since Carlyle has been here, the Marlies coaches tell them who to call up. However, I trust Eakins way more than Spott.
@mr_hanie The Marlies are terrible up front, it's not even a question. Leivo is the only prospect that has top-6 potential. I like Mckegg, Broll, D'Amigo and Devane but I don't see them as more than bottom 6 guys at best.
@DeclanK That tells you all the flaws in their logic right there.
@TheCanucksnaphook @B_Leaf Like I said, it seems like his kind of night.
@Cameron19 @moimoi @Loric76 @-Keon- Results driven business. One get's them, and the other one didn't. Lupul did sign an extension under Carlyle, so that one might've been overblown.
