@KevinTheNYRBlog @gravey94 It has become a forced habit for those 2, it is a major thing we will miss from Brian Boyle.
MSG played the replay of game 3 vs Philly a few nights ago, Boyle had 3 blocked shots in a row on a Penalty Kill, than was able to get up and start a short-handed fast break. While I do believe he got paid a lot (too much), it is going to be hard to expect Malone/Glass/Lombardi to do those things, but I hope I am wrong!

@Rangers_54 AWFUL...that #4 jersey is a jinx
…it must be the number because Kostka was Del Zotto-like last night. And by that, I mean God awful.
I literally said that same thing to a buddy of mine during the game...he shoots it right into the defenders and wears #4
Chicago has a good eye for talent in the draft, I dont think anyone can argue that, if they took this kid in the first-round than I am all for the signing. However, let's not get too excited, this kid most likely isn't the deal breaker for our cup chances..This kid surely makes up for the picks we traded, as Sather has already done a great job of recovering via college free agency.

@JoeyKocur /Sarcasm I hope?
@GiveGartneraCup Good point, there is value in knowing and playing your role on the team. Dorsett and Boyle wanted a bigger role, and maybe on a team that DIDNT MAKE IT TO THE FINALS LAST YEAR (that felt good), they would have it...but not on this team.

See a lot of Glass-haters on here...I am sure many of you (as well as myself) complained that this team showed a lack of emotion at times during the year...there may be added value with him in a blueshirt jersey than if he went and put on a jersey that has a team with 1 or 2 emotion guys in the lineup; personally, other than zucc, I cannot name one player on our roster that brings life to the team with a hit or a fight.
We sure as well were not going to be happy if we ever re-signed Prust to the money he got, the only thing I can contend with is that we should have just kept Dorsett, however, we did get a draft pick for him.
I think we need to give this Glass guy a chance before we rip him...Sather has had a great off-season and I find it hard to believe he didn't know what he was signing when it came to Glass.
I would not mind getting DelZotts back for cheap...coming from someone who HATED him, the fact that we got Klein for him makes me more comfortable reacquiring him for cheap. I am sure he hates the Rangers by now though, so I am sure Philly will offer him 4 mill/year and he can get crushed in the corner by....oh wait, who the hell is gonna throw the body on this team??

Rangers need to hope Zuccs takes a NY discount, he realizes this COULD be the highest his stock ever gets in this league and want to take the largest deal he could get. I'd like to think he loves playing in the Garden, the fans love him and he plays great in front of the NY crowd.

@kevin11 A long contract spreads the money over many years, making the front-end portion a bit more feasible more times than not. A long-term deal would most likely give them MORE money this season to re-sign players and have a bigger burden at the back end of the deal.
Took me a while to get used to hearing "will play the New York Rangers in the Finals"...sounds good though

Rangers HAVE to win tonight...but really...I have a wedding to attend Saturday night that my cousin said she would be PISSED if I missed because of a hockey game...dont tell me this game isn't a must-win!

" In the past, we’ve done those same things and the puck’s gone in. "
Oh so that's why there is value in having a superior goalie? I knew we paid the guy for something

I think that Kreider is like that guy from the Mighty Ducks movies....hes so fast, he doesn't know how to slow down hahaha...We needs Hans to help him
I had this crazy dream last night that Rick Nash scored a goal

@Bleed_the_freak @Brukie_ They score more than the Rangers
Step needs to roof that
@Jercooks845 I think its a NHL conspiracy.."let's make sure the biggest market in the league doesn't do good"
@Derek Stepan lol barring a miracle? Plenty have teams have came back from 2-1 series and a 2-0 score in the third
Diaz is a difference maker
It's almost comical now
I am in awe as to why they blew that whistle
Wnhy the hell did they blow that whistle
DAmn did Dorsett just take a dumb 2

AV needs to switch Step and Richards
stralman needs to shoot that
Just when you thought we were picking up our play...BOOM, another power play...deflates all hopes
I think that strategy for the PP is great
Put the 4th line one
how come crosby didn't get kicked out of the circle on that one
I think it has gotten to the point where the players are not even trying to embellish the hits, because they actually hope the ref didn't see it and don't call it
Kreider with one wrist will help our PP..just bring him back
They're just going to keep giving us powerplays lol
Teams have learned to pressure the puck on the Rangers PP, and the best way to beat that is to move the puck quickly as someone will always be open. We can't seem to get our guys in the right space to make the quick passes for one-timers or shots in general...Moore is great at handling the puck and shooting but his passes don't always hit the spot...even easy passes to Richards on the point seem to be passed off a little bit, not allowing for the quick clean one-timer.
I think putting a body in front of Fluery (god when is Kreider coming back) would make a big difference, than when the pressure to the puck comes, you have the option to just wing it on goal and hope for a junk PP goal

@TheFanfave @Pasetsky or scratch dorsey and start 7 d-men...either way, you are scratching an effective player hoping Diaz sparks a PP that might see the ice 2 or 3 times a game
@ObviouslyTwoPointsAreGreat Vancouver was his 2nd act no?

I think in the playoffs, and I could be very wrong, playing 5 in 7 an 6 in 9 is not a bad thing. I guess we will find out in 10 days
Its the playoffs...5 games in 7 days might be a good thing
@iwantgaborik @Bleed_the_freak @DPSnotty holy wrist shot
…the best part of the Rangers power play tonight was that we only had to see it once.
…zero goals for Hartnell in the series. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy.
Ahhh....the type of journalism that legends are made of lol
@Say my Name thought we just had it
No Dumb Penalties
That Nash highlight reel MSG just played feels like a whole nother season
Bold Prediction: St. Louis scores 2 and has a helper
Safe Prediction: Our PP will look worse than our 5 on 5
@Josh-CK is that confirmed or are you just asking for it? i hope so carcillo played great
Make it 4-1 before the 3rd, early short-handed goal in the 3rd...than maybe another short-handed goal with 10 minutes left, and than maybe another shorty with 2 minutes left...theres still a chance we just need to take penalties
Philly hats on the ice...the game will need to be stopped shortly to remove the lice from the ice
