@Bruffins

Fantastic finish today to close out a great 16 days. 2 Fins and 2 Swedes on the All star has really pissed me off as it is very disrespectful to the greatest hockey power in the world. # Typical IIHF BS.

Very happy to see Marin St Louis play so well today. It had to really tough not to get a single shift against the Americans. All class Pepe the way you handled that.

@ingy56 @Zep2 Doughty and Price were two big omissions on the all star team. Typical IIHF, screwing Canada.

We may have struggled finishing up front, but how does a team give up 3 goals over 6 games, wins the gold and yet does not have a D or goalie win an all star birth ? Pathetic and embarrassing for the IIHF.

I am very surprised that many of you don't have any enthusiasm for Olympic hockey. With the Leafs only breaking a 9 yr drought even to make the playoffs, it is all that we have had for a very long time ( winning Olympic gold 2 of the last 3 times ). Good news is the Leafs will be in the post season in consecutive seasons and this year they will win a round.

@mikeshave Win or lose for them, there will be a let down playing the Islanders the first game back. Carlyle said Getzlaf and Perry never recovered in 2010. I don't expect that with Phil and JVR.

@traNsplantEdneWfie I was thinking 4-2 Canada. I'm hoping we play like we did against Russia in the Quarter finals in 2010. We either led 4-0 or 4-1 after 1 and without a doubt that was the most dominating period of hockey I have ever seen. So many Cdn snipers in a bit of funk now , a couple will break out tomorrow.

@traNsplantEdneWfie @Bruffins Amazing that the last 2 Olympic seasons leading up to the Olympics that the Canadians could barely if not even win a single exhibition game. Once the tournament starts we just find a way to win.

@Bruffins Wickenheiser was spent ( and has really lost a step ) and clearly there was no penalty when having the luxury of watching the replays. Dineen was pissed because he really wanted a penalty shot. Tough break for the Yanks however, no excuse for blowing a 2 goal lead with 3 1/2 minutes to go.

That comeback was one for the ages......... lets not reference the one from last year that we are still getting therapy for.

Congratulations girls, so proud and happy for you all.

@Cameron19 Would be surprised if Wheeler would draw in.

Saw your post last night about Bergeron being part of a checking line, I would suspect with Marleau and possibly Nash.

Heard that the lines were the same in practice again with the exception of Duchene stepping in for Tavares. US has last change and I expect Babcock to utilize a checking line against Phil.

@loomx @JantzNot sure about Backes, but Callahan and Brown were on the 2010 team and were locks for this team. So clearly you wanted Lucic and what other power forward to be on Canada ? This is the team we have and I'm in 100 %. Some people can't cheer for Canada because PK and Price are on the roster....... what a joke..... its embarrassing.

@loomx @Jantzit won't mean shit if they lose on Friday. Canada stunk until the Quarter final game in Vancouver. Once they pasted the Russians 7-3 they never looked back.

How are they built so well ? Because they took TJ Oshie as a shootout specialist and left Bobby Ryan and the Johnson bros at home.
