and even if you can name 4 teams he is still a top pair guy if he would be on the top pair of most teams
11 months, 1 week ago on Callahan for St. Louis Likely Not Happening; Anaheim Back on Girardi
no Im asking for 2 players on each team. You are not a top pair player if 2 d men are better then you on that team. Ill give you keith and seabrook. but if your argument is that G is only great bc of mcd then the same goes for seidenberg
You cant just name one
player on each team. You need to name 2. Your whole argument is that I
misspelled a name yet you cant even back up ur argument
u just said teams. lol you need to name two players on each which would then make in a 2nd pair not a 1st
name the two players on each team that are better then him
You didn't name one team he would not start on.
I think you mean keith
kane is a forward
And every team you either don't
even know who the player is or named people not nearly as good a girardi
You are naming one player from every team or you don't no the name of the guy. If you don't no his name then he isn't better then g. And Kane plays forward I think u mean Duncan Keith. I don't think you gave one legit example of a team he would not be a top pair d man on. And u can't say if he didn't hav mcd he wouldn't b good and not say the same for doughtys partner charas Keith's soo I think you just kind of made my point
All i care about is that he shows up for the playoffs this year. If he does all is forgiven
11 months, 1 week ago on Report: "99 Percent Chance" Ryan Callahan Is Traded ; Newest On Girardi Situation
Ok then name the 5 teams and
who the two players are that start over him. And I love Stall but right now he
is not better then G. He is younger and has more skill but G is a better shut
down D man then stall and the perfect partner for Man truck. Plus even if Stall
is better do u really want to bet the house he has no desire to join his brothers
in Carolina. Its not crazy to think he would be tempted to join his 3 brothers.
So again who are these teams.
name 5 teams he isn't a top pair D man on. I bet you can't even name 2 can you. He is not close to a 3-4 dmen.
He is only in the spot he is cus of injuries ? Sauer played behind him when he was still playing
And stall is healthy and if ur point is that he isn't the same who was his 1st pair d partner before he got hurt
I yea Girardi u can't name 2 teams he isn't a top pair d man on
Calling him a pussy the only pussy I c is ur moms on my kitchen counter
Name 2 teams
so shut up because the you are saying the dumbest shit i ever heard. 6 years ago he was good? he made the all star team like 2 years ago wtf are u talking about
dude ur a fucking moron. Girardi is a top 2 d-man on 95% of teams and top 3 in every team.
What did everyone want him to say. All the players hated him and dont believe in the system.
1 year, 7 months ago on Sather Blames Lack Of Offense And Puck Possession On Tortorella, Not Himself
@Betweentheworlds @jgaray @spin0rama I do think Gabby got a bad rap but how can u say it did not get better after the trade. They looked like a different team with the added depth
1 year, 7 months ago on Bylsma Could Go to Top of Rangers List: Expect to Talk With Ruff
@Betweentheworlds @spin0rama agreed but if the locker room had turned on him to the extent that has been reported what real choice did Sather have? I wish things turned out differently but when you loose the locker room its almost impossible to come back
@Betweentheworlds @jgaray @IcyCup Yes but Jags has really matured as a player. See how he was out their at the end of the game when they were just trying to hold on. coach must really trust him
@Josh6 I liked Torts as well and if it wasnt for REIMER we would still be playing. At first i was upset about tort being fired but once i realized he lost the room nothing else matters. I might not like how it happened but its better to bring in a new coach then to have a bunch of players thinking the coach does not get their game or that he is hard to play for. He is a great coach but when Sather found out about the frustration in the locker room he really had no other choice
@IcyCup %100 agree
I dont mind a player who is chippy. Mess was one of the dirtiest players in history. But he did not cry when someone did something to him. Imagine if Jagr did that to CINDY they wud have gone nuts. Ovechkin can be dirty at times but if a guy takes a shot back at him he takes it and gives one back.
Maybe we really were the 2nd best team in the east put up a better fight the Pitt.
God dammit Reimer if you could have made a save in the clutch we might still be playing
Bylsma really maximizing his talent.
Keep crying CINDY
@Hotfreak @KevinDeLury @gravey94 he would not be alone Nash Hank Girardi
1 year, 7 months ago on Eakins Not A Systems Guy; Vigneault Has Experience With Media Scrutiny
@jslnyr1102 @shishya100 Yes there is no doubt Blysma is a really good coach and has been successful with malkin and crosby hurt. But the bottom line has to be his lack of success in the playoffs. The last 3 years they failed to make it to the 3rd round. And they might not even win a game there this year either. The Rangers don't need a presidents trophy ( wud b nice) the need a CUP. And I don't think he is the guy to get us there.
@_Jackthat 3rd line with miller is a little small I admit but having a 4th line like
Pyatt Boyle dorsett line can be used as a checking line when needed
@_Jack If torts was still the coach skinners size and defensive short comings would be more of a issue but with a new system skinner may be a great fit. With skinner the top 3 lines could be
Skinner Stepan Nash
Kreider Brassard cally
Hags Jt Miller Boyle? zucc(or maybe Ryder if possible)
@_Jack Well if he goes to the KHL then I guess the point is mute. But that was rumored 2 years ago so who knows.
But about skinner is he small sure but he is the same size or larger thansome of the best players in the NHL
Martin St. Louis
so could size be an issue sure but that does not prevent him from deleloping into a great player. His rookie year his size didnt hurt him
@Ted Kazimiroff I'd wonder if in the case the Rangers do choose Mess to be the coach (which is a huge gamble ) if the wud keep sulivan and scoenfeld on staff to help with X's and O's
@scrangersfan I agree about Gonchar's age but at 39 I would think he isn't looking for more then a 1 year contract similar to Jagr's last two contracts so its not real risk. He still gives up a SHOT FROM THE POINT on the PP. but if he want more then 1 year no way.
@scrangersfan I agree Staal is great but Skinner's upside is a little higher given its a huge risk especially his struggles this year however he is only 21. he is younger then Krieder which is something to keep in mind. But our defense held up in the playoffs and maybe adding Gonchar for the power play Staal absence won't be as significant. Putting Skinner with Nash and Step has the ability to be a primer 1st line plus stepan and Nash both two way players can help offset Skinners shortcomings defensively.
And a Krieder Brass Cally 2nd line has great potential as well. Its fun that we may have consistent lines again.
@scrangersfan Did i Say him and Mess are on the same level by any means. He is the greatest leader in nhl history as far as I'm concerned. All I said is not all successful leaders have the same leadership style.
@scrangersfan Staal going to Carolina is just an assumption and may very well be true. But Marc is a classy guy and I feel he would let Sather know that him leaving is a legitimate possibility just as Jordan did. IF that is the case then I think you have to make the call.
I've noticed that their had rumors jeff skinner cud be had for a top pair defenseman. Under Torts this would never work but assuming Staal has a real interest to go to carolina the rangers may want to get something back for him like the Pens with Jordan Staal. I've seen some carolina fans say they wud do the trade straight up. I thought it may take a little more maybe Staal and the rights to Zucc for Skinner? Our defence was not the issue this post season without Staal despite how good he is. And if they buyout richards they may be able to bring in a Gonchar for the power play and as an extra defender if Mcilrath isnt ready. This is all assuming Marc has a legitimate interest in leaving NY and going to Carolina which may not be the case.
what does everyone think.
@GiveGartneraCup agreed under torts many scorers were off limits to the rangers because the didnt fit torts system. The new coach and his system will dictate what the rangers do in the offseason
Cally is just a different type of leader the Mess. Is he the most outspoken probably not but he has the respect of every player in the locker room bc he will do anything to win nobody gives more effort then he does. Plus we all know that the true leader of the team is Hank.
@stRangers fan why is Stepan a bad number 1 center. He finished 11th in points for centers this year. Step is also a good defender plus is 22. Plus I have had enough of signing playmaking centers in their 30s. If we bring in another mid age center it can only be a short term deal.
1 year, 7 months ago on Richards Would Like to Return to Dallas
@stRangers fan Same for richie
@Josh6 it is the dame position
1 year, 7 months ago on Mark Streit Anyone?
@CJ @jgaray @AG_Blue @ChrisRowan And what do you think richie still brings to the team. He can qb the power play his biggest failure since coming here and you want to pay 6.6 for your 3rd line center. Watching the rangers all season you can clearly see stepan and brassard are above him in the depth chart. And if you want another center you can get nathan horton for less money and less years.
you will see the truth when he get bought out and he signs a new deal for around 3 million and 3 years or less. Thats a good deal for him.
Lets be honest Brad Richards is a class act and all he want to do is win. And is not the type of player who comes into camp out of shape just bc of a lockout. He did everything he could to produce but he is no longer the player he was. With the cap going down and alot rfa's their is no way we can risk richards having a bad year getting hurt and we get stuck 6.6 mil for 7 more years
@CJ @jgaray @AG_Blue @ChrisRowan how do i know he lost it? He lost his speed. you think that coming back at 34 or 35?
If your right that he played bad cause of no training camp what does that say about him as a veteran. He is not the type of guy that blows off the offseason because of a lock out. He just lost his speed and its only getting worse.
PLus your forgetting two things
1 6.6 mil is alot for a player who is a playmaker finishing out of the top 50 in points last year and outside the top 30 the year before
2 do you have any idea how long the contract is. ???? I don't think you do. 2020!!!!!!!!! yes he will be in his 40s when his contract ends. you think he will be scoring 40 points by then or he retires and we get the cap hit.
and if you want to keep him then pick if you want to give up stepan mcd hank ???
@CJ @AG_Blue @ChrisRowan do u really think brad richards is a great player. even if he puts up 80 points next year ( ZERO CHANCE ) you really think he will ever but up more then 65 points ever again. Some center loose it very fast and it rarely comes back.
@RyanMC @KevinDeLury Ryan MC what team do you think would take Brad Richards. Nobody would want to trade for him with his large contract. The only real trade possibility would be for vinny lecavalier and hope a change in scenery help both player although both will likely be bought out
