I meant to say he's a solid player. The last 3 years he's had wOBAs of .350, .375 and .347 and he's only going into his age 28 season so I don't get it.

I don't get it. Fowler is actually a good player.
@DodgerBytes Nolasco was waiting on us wasn't he? Once we signed Haren the writing was on the wall for Nolasco

This narrative that the Dodgers are gonna trade Kemp is really annoying me

Why can't I remember Elian Herrera ever playing or Carl Crawford stealing 15 bases this year? Are we all sure it actually happened?
8 months, 2 weeks ago on 2013 Dodgers in Review #17: LF Scott Van Slyke
Is this why he couldn't pinch hit in the playoffs since he was off on the titanic.

9 minutes or so is not 15 min!!!
How is SVS ever gonna get any postseason experience if he's never given the chance?
8 months, 3 weeks ago on 2013 Dodgers in Review #6: 2B Mark Ellis
I never said Don was the worst. Unlike most people that seem to just wanna get rid of him, I value his leadership in the clubhouse. Unless we can get Joe Maddon, we should just keep Don. I'm not just gonna assume a guy is a better than Don just because he's not Don.
If anything Don compounded the mistake by using Young and not giving Van Slyke a chance.
That one pisses me off the least. The one I knew was a mistake when it was made was the Reed Johnson one.
We're not re-signing Wilson
I don't know if you guys saw that Clubhouse Confidential was talking about the worst managerial decisions of the playoffs and Mattingly's decision to walk Reed Johnson in game 2 of the NLDS and his decision to bunt Mark Ellis in the 12th inning of game 1 of the NLCS didn't make the top 5 for some reason.
David Price or Max Scherzer?
9 months ago on 2013 Dodgers in Review #3: C Ramon Hernandez
Dude it's Ramon Hernandez. It doesn't really matter that much what he got. Plus the ratings are subjective.
I didn't say that we should panic about Price. I was just passing along what they said on MLB Network radio. But it's clear that Kershaw has better secondary stuff than Price.
Yah his walk rate was ridiculous this year. It was like 1.3 and he raised his BB/K to 5.6
In regards to Price, they were saying in MLB Network radio that he might not age as well as other pitchers cause he mostly just throws hard and doesn't really "pitch." So once he starts losing his velocity he might be less effective. Of course he's only (already?) 28 now but it's something to look at when Price wants a 6 or 7 year deal in the future.
The Boston trade was all about getting Nick Punto...err Adrian Gonzalez. Now that we have him instead of the continually mediocre Loney we have a good base (along with Hanley, Kemp and Crawford) to build around. And I agree that there was no reason to give up both Rubby and Webster.
The whole reason that we made that big trade for Hanley, the trade with Boston and signed Greinke (with an op-out clause) was for a temporary paving over. So that we could be competitive now while we built back up our minor league system that McCourt completely neglected and be competitive in the future as well. If we trade the whole farm for Price, it will go against the plan that Kasten had seemed to put in place.
Price is good but giving up Seager, Urias and Lee is giving up way too much.
Is it bad that I was listening to the Cardinals radio so that I could hear the pain in their voices as they got blown out in a series deciding game 6 on the road?

They get presented with it at the beginning of next season.

"Eric Hosmer is the Gold Glove award winner because he had the most assists" -Nomar Garciaparra
A lot of people
I know it really doesn't mean that much but it's nice saying that a player from my team won a award and is getting some national noteriety, no matter how flawed the process is in choosing the winner.
I don't think that anybody that actually knows what they're talking about uses it like that.
Fail. Arenado won...
Alright they're announcing 3rd base. Let's go Uribear!
