I happened to catch Chris Berman trying to do baseball play-by-play on ESPN Radio this week. What a trainwreck. He was completely unused to following the flow of a game. He'd say a ball was hit... wait a few seconds to see what happened... and then report it afterwards.
And he continually mispronounced Ryan Loodwig's name. But hey, at least he didn't trot out any of his tired puns.
Correction II: "True North Radio" doesn't exist anymore. It was replaced on the WDEV schedule by "Common Sense Radio," which is hosted by Rob Roper and funded by the Ethan Allen Institute. "True North Reports" continues to exist as a website, and Rob Roper is its "News Editor."
I think that's "Florida Congressman Allen West." The Virginia Senate candidate is George "Macaca" Allen.
Is it time to pull the trigger on Mirabelli Redux and drag Varitek out of retirement? Joshie needs his binky!
@exvshguy Some of them may have status quo bias, but a lot of them have nothing to do with VSH and have never practiced in a state hospital anywyere. They're psychiatric professionals who operate in a variety of settings around the state. And they have a great deal of expertise on these questions. I'm sorry they don't agree with you.
I'd argue the assertion that calls for a larger state hospital "come largely at the behest of the Vermont State Employees Association." Most of the psychiatrists in the state feel the same way, including Dr. Jay Batra, the director of the Vermont State Hospital. They aren't trying to preserve union jobs; they honestly believe, from their own professional expertise, that a larger hospital is necessary for quality care.
Er... John Sununu is the ex-Governor of New Hampshire. Left office in 1989.
The original Green Monster scoreboard is in... Warehouse 13????
KFC and Anheuser-Busch stock fell today after the Valentine announcement.
Glad to hear Tork's got himself a gig.
I say they should make the Rangers put big huge nets on their outfield fences, like in arena football. Redonkulous. Same for right field in New Yankee $tadium.
The field seemed very slippery. A couple of the Packer injuries happened when players lost their footing, and Big Ben almost blew out his knee when he slipped while throwing a pass. And not a single mention of it from Buck or Aikman. Was there an embargo on criticism of Jerra's billion-dollar baby?
