Feel for Kessel, thought he along side P Kane were the best US forwards. Canadian D actually backed off of both players. Phil had his speed going as well, well hopefully JVR and Kessel can return with bronze. No shame in losing to the best Canadian Team i have seen playing in international competition.

GM MLHSer..gotta question, i know there is a really love hate relationship when it comes to RC in leaf-land. I look at Kessel's game and wondered, under which coach he has improved the most ? Under Julien in Bos he was a goal scorer, under Wilson with Leafs he started to become a bit of a play maker. Now under RC, it seems his compete level has gone so much higher as well as his defensive game has improved significantly. Phil Kessel has become the one of the best passer in the league, i loved the way he back checked on one of the play against Slovenia. USA was already leading i think 3-0. I will give Kessel most of the credit for really working on hi overall game but having RC tutelage hasn't hurt him either. Sorry this turned into a long post..:):) still early in the morning and i can hardly keep my eyes open at work

i would not mind having a Ashton-McC-Bodie as the 4th line once Bolland and Clarkson are back. 3rd and 4th line would provide some scoring and toughness, PK while your top two line can play wheel.

@Alec Brownscombe @Burtonboy not sure there is a comparison in talent not even close but sure do hope that Clarkson get his game together after the olympic break. Return of Bolland and Clarkson hopefully will an add to Orr and Mclaren. I hv been fan of Orr but i think players of his specific skill set r not for today's NHL
I want to say thank you to Phil Kessel for his skills, entertainment, determination and willing to fight adversity and disease such as cancer and come out on top. His down to earth attitude towards his own success makes him such a rare specimen in today's world. he gets excited more for JVR and Bozak goals than his fucking hatricks. What Fucking Gem. Phil " The Thrill " Kessel, best player in blue and white i have seen.

Oilers acquire Mark Fraser from Leafs for Cam Abner and Hartikainen.
Just woke up little dumber today after listening to Dave Fatchuk on TSN Radio last night. listening him saying that Our Goalies have put up more L than W in Jan was i thought very weird and unprofessional from a reporter of a major new paper and Radio. i thought we had gained 10 out of 12 points before the 4 gm L skid and than went on to win 6 in a raw. i m not great at match but thats not that bad. well will hv to remember to switch radio station next time he is announced.

Absolute Gong Show by the Refs.compare all the trips and hooking in last 2 mins to the penalty that Dion got vs Sabres with min to to. Disgrace
@wendelsfist@GreekGod@leafsince93to me the most alarming thing have been how unprepared they are so many nights right out of gate. this team is better than that, i understand injuries have been a part of not able to play particular system because u have to adapt to the personnel you have. Carlyle and his coaching staff have been unable to infuse the confidence and motivate this group to go play as hard as they can all season. as i said again, i liked what he did last season, i really hope this team turns around for his sake

i m a big Jay McC Fan but i believe he plays too much..i really believed in what carlyle brought to this organization last season. i have been his fan but moving forward, if this team does not turn around in next 10 games he has to go. I would want a new coach for this team, who can adapt to the personnel we have. i can not believe why we went away from the style we played last season. it worked, teams were affraid to come and play in ACC, not so this season. is it mandated by someone up in organization that they do not want leafs to be known as goons. i just can not understand the reason of not playing that way.
@TheCanucksnaphook Finns r playing perfect north american style.dump and chase, go after the puck hard, win battles along the board. get in the shooting lanes, it seems CAN is not able to come out of the zone smoothly and D is not up to the mark.
2 months ago on Rangers at Leafs Game Preview: A return to normalcy
this WJC game is hard to watch. getting outplayed, out-hustled, passing has been horrible. Dumb penalties ( refs been atrocious as well ), CAN is getting completely outplayed. i think all tourney they have been very undisciplined
happy with this deal. there r lot of detractors out there of Phaneuf but you have to give him credit that he has rounded his game. his points total is down but that comes with being paired with Gunnar and playing against best of opponents. Cap is going to keep rising so would have his value, i like the signing very much. he seems to have thick skin and criticism does not seem to bother him too much. i just wish sometimes RC would play him little less.
2 months, 1 week ago on Dion Phaneuf Re-Signs for 7 years, $49milllion
My observation watching last night. Leafs shoot themselves in foot more often than opposition. They r terrible at clearing their zone. Franson and gunners on were terrible. So many unforced error. Really liked Holland's go, Jerry Do could b a good 4th liner along with Ashton. When u can't clear yr zone time and time again, it's not coaching fault..issues r with the personnel on the ice..I strongly believe, it's time to trade gunner or Cody franson. I thought hits on both D'Amigo and Liles were high hit to head
