Another thing not mentioned here, but mentioned on TV, was the fact the Leafs were a miserable under 30% on the face-offs. You are always chasing the puck and never get offensive thrusts.

@dlb, just dlb Not rocket science, Leafs have better depth this year. Teams cannot win with 1 or 2 good players. I feel bad for Taylor Hall, taking the blame for Oilers bad scouting. He is even getting personal hate now for Taylor Hall, calling him out as lazy and stupid...by fans

I noticed Phaneuf has adjusted his game. He does not have foot speed anymore so he has compensated by better positioning and just chipping the puck off the boards if there is no outlet pass. He is playing like a stay at home D - man. Very effective.

I see Taylor Hall taking a lot of flak from the press. Calling him out as lazy, does not back-check and gives the puck away.....should be traded, etc....seems the best player is always hated on a bad team.....

Oilers goaltending has been brutal this year, as the goalie coach got canned recently, Oilers have to trade for a goalie, or else no coach can survive there.....

Ted Nolan has worse players in Buffalo than Oilers have, and he seems to be turning the Sabres around. If Ted Nolan had those Oiler players he probably could have a better record, than Eakins.

@Yaknowwhat Gardiner is my favorite Leaf to watch in the offensive zone, so much high side still.

Franson is playing over his head, he is exposed too much playing in the top 2. Franson is an ideal number 5.

Call me old school , but I have no problem with the Leaf forwards on this team this season. I think its the play of our defensemen who will determine if we make the playoffs. We cannot always win every game by scoring 5 goals.

I like like Kadri on the point on the PP>He will lose the draw if he takes face-offs so being on the point gives Leafs more zone time on the PP. Leafs PP is very predictable and easy to play against now due to pre-scouting.
