Watching the Mar lies and Frattin looking ordinary does not look like he will be back in the NHL.

Where is the pipeline to the Mar lies . Leaf scouts sleeping again ????

Oilers Should fire their entire scouting staff. They picked the default 1st round picks and nothing after.

People who want Leafs to tank, yes there is slew on this site, can clearly see, that a franchise like the Maple Leafs can never do that. TWO big losses and it's a national disaster.

The last 2 games, I have never seen Phaneuf, Franson, Gardiner and Reilly play like crap all at once. They play bad games individually, but all at once ????

The good thing the past couple of weeks is Holland. He is going to challenge Kadri for ice time. It's too bad that Kadri cannot kill penalties like Holland who worked on his defensive game.

I have to agree about Gunnerson. He was more responsible than Franson. And Phaneuf is not an ideal partner for Franson.

Some players do decline at age 30. Most players do not have 20 year careers.

Phaneuf is now a bottom pair D - man. It's the wear and tear of big minutes and age. He is being exposed against top 6 forwards now.

I still say Gardiner will be a better forward than a D-man in the NHL.

If Bozak, Kadri and Holland score 20 goals each...not too shabby for a team with no number 1  centers.....but centers by commitee.

Phanuef like Eric Staal is on a downward trend. It's just age and wear and tear of playing a lot of minutes over the years.

I for one, would like to see Gardiner play forward on the power play. He creates space and open ice with his skating.

That wrap around goal against Buffalo was like what an allstar center would do.

People who talk of Leafs tanking, should look at the Sabres. What an insult to the fans and the brand name, that people have to endure this nonsense. The owner should be banned from the NHL for stealing people's money.

People talking about Leafs 4th line today. But opposing coaches have no fear in playing their 4th line against Kessel-Bozak -JVR line. In fact, its down right embarrassing that a 4th line hems in Leafs top line, on past few games.

I see Gardiner now on the 3rd D-pairing. Hopefully he gets sheltered minutes. Still prone to giving the puck away in front of his goalies, which always make the replays. I still think Gardiner would be awesome as a forward though.

@Cameron19 @mr_hanie Getting top minutes then sitting out that a player, makes no sense.

Gardiner's overall play this season has been poor, that the reason he was sat out.

As long as Nonis is GM , Carlyle is safe. Nonis gave Carlyle a 2 year extension.. I will be happy if Nonis is canned. His tenure with his riduculous signings remind me of Ferguson Jr.
