Watching the Mar lies and Frattin looking ordinary does not look like he will be back in the NHL.

Where is the pipeline to the Mar lies . Leaf scouts sleeping again ????
Oilers Should fire their entire scouting staff. They picked the default 1st round picks and nothing after.

People who want Leafs to tank, yes there is slew on this site, can clearly see, that a franchise like the Maple Leafs can never do that. TWO big losses and it's a national disaster.
Spezza will be the next Dany Heatley.

Leafs defense have the forwards coming back for easy outlet passes this game
4 days, 19 hours ago on GDT: Game #20, Tampa Bay Lightning vs Toronto Maple Leafs (7:30pm, TSN4)
The last 2 games, I have never seen Phaneuf, Franson, Gardiner and Reilly play like crap all at once. They play bad games individually, but all at once ????

@mike_84 By the worst GM in Blue Jay history, another mess

It seems Carlyle has lost the room, players just do not care anymore......
@ingy56 Leafs defence has been brutal these games
Franson and Phaneuf are brutal together
Caryle will not be fired by Nonis...Nonis is George Cope's man
6 days, 20 hours ago on GDT: Game #19, Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Nashville Predators (7:30 p.m., TSN4)
I want Gardiner moved to forward...please
Even under Ron Wilson Leafs had scoring chances, under Carlyle very seldom
Somebody said Phaneuf may be the next Wade Redden...hope not
The good thing the past couple of weeks is Holland. He is going to challenge Kadri for ice time. It's too bad that Kadri cannot kill penalties like Holland who worked on his defensive game.

I have to agree about Gunnerson. He was more responsible than Franson. And Phaneuf is not an ideal partner for Franson.
Some players do decline at age 30. Most players do not have 20 year careers.
Phaneuf is now a bottom pair D - man. It's the wear and tear of big minutes and age. He is being exposed against top 6 forwards now.
@Hmmm @drummond He looks great in the offensive zone tonight
1 week, 2 days ago on GDT: Game #18, Toronto Maple Leafs vs Buffalo Sabres (7pm, HNIC)
Phaneuf needs a steady D-man to cover his errors, and Leafs don't have one
I thought Phaneuf was going downhill, and now he looks like a 5th or 6th D-man now
I still say Gardiner will be a better forward than a D-man in the NHL.
If Bozak, Kadri and Holland score 20 goals each...not too shabby for a team with no number 1 centers.....but centers by commitee.

I like Leivo very much too. Even though with limited minutes, he has NHL hands.
I cannot believe Holland was the same player during training and now. He looks like he may score 20 goals this season.
Gardiner is so good in the offensive zone, he should be a forward.

Phanuef like Eric Staal is on a downward trend. It's just age and wear and tear of playing a lot of minutes over the years.

@Leafs2 Isles1 @docmma @Bring the Cup Home What good are draft picks, when Leafs are in the playoffs ?

Even though Carrick saw limited minutes, he was very noticable in those minutes. Did not notice Ashton at all.
Winnik is doing what Kulemin should have been doing the last 2 seasons.
I am glad Holland is playing better now. He looked slow and sluggish the first few games this season.

Bernier back to playing like last year

Anybody know how Kontiola is doing with Marlies. He should be their best forward based on his international play and age.
3 weeks, 4 days ago on Friday Mashup: Percy recalled, Game Day in Columbus
I for one, would like to see Gardiner play forward on the power play. He creates space and open ice with his skating.
That wrap around goal against Buffalo was like what an allstar center would do.
3 weeks, 5 days ago on Thursday Mashup: Leafs face banged-up Blue Jackets tomorrow
@TheLoovTrain @mr_hanie Detroit and New Jersey had good scouting and never tanked to win their Stanley Cups.
3 weeks, 6 days ago on Game Review: Game #9, Toronto Maple Leafs 4 vs. Buffalo Sabres 0
@Great Dane @mr_hanie Not a 100% certainty.
People who talk of Leafs tanking, should look at the Sabres. What an insult to the fans and the brand name, that people have to endure this nonsense. The owner should be banned from the NHL for stealing people's money.
@docmma @mr_hanie @Jmessih Won't get past waivers.
4 weeks ago on Tuesday Mashup: Randy is sneaky
@Jmessih Gardiner should play forward on the power play.
People talking about Leafs 4th line today. But opposing coaches have no fear in playing their 4th line against Kessel-Bozak -JVR line. In fact, its down right embarrassing that a 4th line hems in Leafs top line, on past few games.
@wendelsfist @wiski Nonis will not fire Carlyle. It has to be Shanahan.
4 weeks, 1 day ago on Monday Mashup: Picking up where they left off
@ProfessorRance @mr_hanie Sheltered minutes meaning playing against other teams 3rd and 4th lines.
I see Gardiner now on the 3rd D-pairing. Hopefully he gets sheltered minutes. Still prone to giving the puck away in front of his goalies, which always make the replays. I still think Gardiner would be awesome as a forward though.
@Cameron19 @mr_hanie Getting top minutes then sitting out that a player, makes no sense.
Gardiner's overall play this season has been poor, that the reason he was sat out.
@Cameron19 @mr_hanie Carlyle did make Gardiner a healthy scratch this season People seem to forget that "fact"
Probably the most shocked person, on the planet, was Carlyle, when Nonis gave Gardiner that large contract last summer.
@MaxwellHowe @Cameron19 @mr_hanie It could be Nonis is not strong enough to face Carlyle. Carlyle was Burke's hiring and Nonis has Carlyle's back.
As long as Nonis is GM , Carlyle is safe. Nonis gave Carlyle a 2 year extension.. I will be happy if Nonis is canned. His tenure with his riduculous signings remind me of Ferguson Jr.
Time for George Cope to tie the can to Nonis. Its been a disaster.
