The no shots in the third and overtime went according to plan! The Pens goalie is cold for the shootout!

@Cameron19 Alright then Bernier fights the refs!
@mike_84 That I'd like to see!
@mike_84 It's not like TSN has anything to lose anymore.
Alrighty! New way to score goals, push the goalie out of the way.
@Shift_Disturber1 I think it's time MLSE use some non-cap money on developing the process of a healing mutation and binding adamantium to Lupal's bones. Geez. Love the guy and all but damn!
Oh, forget the claws. ;-)

@rustynail Sorry, not going to pay for it. I will find other things to do and will listen on the radio if I'm interested.
@Shift_Disturber1 It's a lot of work climbing up and down from his roof so often. #oldprimetimesportsjoke
@TheCanucksnaphook @rustynail Cap goes up, payroll goes up. It's just a question whether the Leafs spend wisely or not.
@rustynail So when Stamkos becomes a free agent after the 2015-2016 season the Leafs can just give him the $15M. Sounds good! :-p
@Komas Taberle @lister @Jay_Berg Unless Sportsnet ponies up significant cash or can twist his arm somehow, McCown won't be doing the hockey broadcasts.

@Jay_Berg I suspect Cherry will do it as long as he likes assuming he keeps bringing in the eyeballs for ad revenue. Me personally, aside from a couple of good hockey points he has, I'm not going to miss him.
@Uncle Otis @mcloki @Burtonboy Friedman and Agro (don't know her status on HNIC.)
@dlb eh @lister I'd love to still play ball hockey as I'd prefer that versus the gym for exercise. It's tough finding a group of guys and even gals who don't take things too seriously and being located downtown. About ten years ago I tried playing roller hockey with some guys that were ten years younger than me. Not enough guys and too offensive for my taste, I really suck trying to score. Given my knees now I'd have to find similar 40 something year olds to play with. *sigh*
2 weeks, 3 days ago on To what extent have the Leafs missed Tyler Bozak?
@dlb ehSounds like me back in the day. I think I played four years of hockey. For two years I played right wing. I finally scored my first and only goal in the last game of the second season. Wasn't pretty. The puck was just lying in the crease waiting to be pushed in. The next season I sort of asked and it was sort of suggested that maybe I play defence instead. I was much better at preventing the puck from going in the net than putting it in. I was a pretty good stay at home, do nothing flashy defenceman who would take the body any chance I could get to break up a play. Even though there was no body contact in the league. :-p Fine art to that and I had a fair amount of penalties in those last two years.
I played with one guy that played in the NHL, Jason Dawe. (There may
have been more but his name was the only one I could remember.) It was
amazing to look him up and see his stats. He was a pretty dominate
player back when we were kids but in the NHL he never really amounted to
more than a third and fourth line guy overall other than a couple of
decent seasons in the mid '90s.
Years later playing ball hockey I'd just pretty much stick to playing defence when there was enough guys playing. Best memory was frustrating the hell out of one particular guy who started to avoid me as we had enough guys to swap guys in and out when they got tired. I was bigger and stronger than he was, would tie up his stick all the time and generally get in front of him so he was generally neutralized during any offensive play. Hehehe. That was so much fun!
@ingy56 @Alec Brownscombe We did that years ago at a game involving the Sens and the Lightning. This was during those years where the Leafs and Sens met up numerous times in the playoffs. I think it was the season after the 4-0 playoff sweep series. I wore my Leafs jersey to the game (and afterwards in the market place downtown for dinner), cheered against the Sens, unfortunately the Lightning sucked. Anyways it was great fun being given the business by the Sens fans and my simple retort was the playoff victories. HA HA!

@Alec Brownscombe Orr.
Healey needs to keep the mute button pressed down all the time.
@ingy56 @Loric76 That's what it looked like to me when the replay was shown.
