Booth has a chance of giving us Raymond type production if he stays healthy, Frattin is capable of potting 15 if he gets his act together.

Bolland wasn't healthy and Kulie wouldn't shoot, they could have had triple the shooting percentage and it wouldn't have impacted the standings much

I dont expect Nylander to make any impact, but Josh Leivo could be ready to contribute

@Cameron19 @Zep2 The Caps are at a funny stage. They have have a guy, oOvie, who along with Crosby where the face of the game not that long ago

The Caps and Pens wre expected to dominate for years, but 2 teams that had the 3 best players of their times , have a grand total of one Cup. Patrick Roy and Bernie Parent won 2 each by themselves

Those teams have gone from and embarrassment of riches to being embarrassed that they couldn't win

@Cameron19 Phillys forward group are impressive, but Mason is still a question mark and losing Timonen makes a big hole to fill.

The up and comers in the metro are Columbus.

Rangers are worse and getting older

Caps are led by Ovechkin, the most selfish player in the game

The Isles are more dysfunctional than the Leafs and are a Tavares injury away from giving Connor Macdavid away

Carolina looks to stuck with the Staals. One inconsistent, one overrated

Great sports day yesterday

Jays gutted out a great win on the back of outstanding performances by Jenkins and Rasmus

Mcilroy put himself into a pretty select group

Watched the end of the Jays game yesterday, they are baseballs Leafs Talented , thin , and fundamentally unsound.

On Ashton,he needs to score one to get of the Schneid, and get some cofidence.

The Ducks Cup team got big contributions from guys like Moen and Pahlson.

Winnick, Kontiala, and Komo aren't stars bit they stiffen up the roster.

Teams hopefully will have to play against 4 lines instead of 2 and a bunch of bench warmers

Habs, Bruins , Rangers all took a step back. Columbus is building, Washington might better with Trotz, but he too might not be enough to handle Ovie. Pens are top heavy , injury prone and

Hve the least dependable goaltender in the game.

Zetterberg is wearing out and Wings haven't replaced Lidstrom, they are in a slow decline

What I don't get is the Greg Millen thing. If we wanted an ex goaltender doing commentary couldn't the leafs pick someone with a connection to the team.

Good for Subban. Hate the team, not crazy about him,but he stuck to his guns and got what he wanted

Having said that, the Shabs over performed last year. They have problems scoring and there is not much help in the pipeline once you get past that Swedish kid

Thanks AP

On Freddy Goats: his offence picked up late in the season and into the playoffs. Nearly a PPG . He wasn't drafted to be big point producer. Huge centre with defensive awareness and the ability to control and protect the puck . If he can keep pace in the NHL , he will hopefully make life miserable for guys like Crosby, Toews, kOPITAR

Islanders didn't tank to get Potvin, they were an expansion team. They were what they were
