Good morning folks.
I watched the hilites of the MODO game someone posted earlier
I don't know if its the big ice or the camera angle but Nylander looks nike he has world class speed ;
His assist on the PP goal was top shelf.
Kid looks like a keeper

17 hours, 27 minutes ago on Thursday Mashup: Leafs face banged-up Blue Jackets tomorrow
Columbus is a bit beat up, anD Chicago , with the loss of Leddy , Crawford and addition of Brad Richards aren't playing up to their usual high level
A split would be nice

Nice to win. Bit of a confidence booster. Not buying any playoff tickets yet

Have the Habs run the goaltender yet

Big Joe for Dion

This team cant win with ordinary goaltending- AP I would say 50 % can't
Oilers 3- Habs 0
A week ago the Oilers were laughing stocks, after 4 straight wins with Scrivens carrying the load the conversation has changed
Our goaltending is the least of our problems. It just needs to play up to its capabilities
Reading the comments about Habs, Leafs centres and caring
There is an element of chance there.
The Hwbs can thank the Sens and Anderson for their playoff run
They had lost 4 in a row were down 4-0 , and the Therrien had quit on them.
Then Anderson allowed a goal that would embarass a peewee house league goaltender and the Habs went from out of the playoffs to semifinalists
There is something to be said for lucky breaks and momentum and the confidence it can generate

5-16-1 over last 22
3-4-1 this season
Disastrous to just bad

I like Derozan, seems like a good guy. I'll watch some

No idea whats going on with Gomeshi
Listened to his shows often while on the road. Good show
4 days, 16 hours ago on Game Review: Game #8, Boston Bruins 4 vs. Maple Leafs 1
IGauthier got his 1st goal yesterday, 6 of 10 on the dot
@MaxwellHowe They have 20 million tied up in Gardiner.
4 days, 20 hours ago on Game Review: Game #8, Boston Bruins 4 vs. Maple Leafs 1
@Mcost61 @Zep2 @Burtonboy Its not hope, its fact
We are sailing along at about a 55 point clip over a 1/4 season
@Burtonboy 5 wins in last 22 games
I don't know why people think we aren't serious contenders for Connor MacDavid
@MaxwellHowe @Anthony Petrielli We shouldn't joke about other teams centres
It's easy to throw Gardiner under the bus for his play.
But Jake is just the most glaring example of what ails this team.
There is no will or determination to win one on one battles . It starts in the face off circle and is most obvious with our top line
Add the fact tha we haven't been able to put together a functional 4th line makes team easy to describe
Have a good day
4 days, 23 hours ago on Game Review: Game #8, Boston Bruins 4 vs. Maple Leafs 1
@mike_84 @Zep2 It goes from the ACC to Pearson to LAX
Buffalo, Culumbus, Chicago coming up
1-2 is realistic
0-3 is not out of the question
Knowing this crowd ,we go 3-0 and we start planning the parade route again
5 days ago on Game Review: Game #8, Boston Bruins 4 vs. Maple Leafs 1
@Bruffins No one was stopping the 1st goal, 2nd maybe, 3rd nope
We only scored one ,way too late, that was a bigger problem
@HHT Carter Ashton will not turn us into Cup contenders. But given an opportunity on the 4th line will 100% effort each shift.
@Mcost61 And Polak
@HHT I mentioned trading Bernier a week ago
If this team wont compete, hell find a place where they will. Philly, Edmonton, Winnipeg, San Jose ,
@traNsplantEdneWfie You are on to something there.
@Cameron19 @Zep2 @Great Dane Gardiner IS playing well now?
A more blue and white eyed view of the game could be
We played well in the 1st , Clarkson was victim of at least one borderline call , 1 bad bounce goal against, a couple of missed opportunities . Shoot, Lupul, Shoot
We were playing well in the 2nd, just miss a chance for equalizer(JVR), ref gets in way of potential Bruins icing , is injured, play continues, 2-0 Bruins
There is no putting lipstick or eyeshadow on the 2 goals in the 3 rd
@Great Dane @Zep2 They better sign him soon then, he's UFA next summer and it doesn't look good in Leafsville right now. He might want a change of address
5 days, 1 hour ago on Game Review: Game #8, Boston Bruins 4 vs. Maple Leafs 1
@Great Dane The Coutourier ship has sailed . He's playing to well and the same can't be said for Gardiner
If this keeps up , do you , trade Bernier soon, at the deadline or try to nail him down long term
Exactly, as well as Winnick is playing, he us miscast.
They brought him in to play on our imaginary 4th line, not top 6
If the game had ended 2-0 you could say the Leafs had a decent game and didn't get many bounces
But that PK goal stunk to high heavens and it sapped everything out of the team and the paying customers
This team had turned me into a Jekyll and Hyde type fan
There is enough talent to make a person normal and more than enough complacency and lack of effort to drive person around the bend
Good nite folks

I'm looking forward to AP,s notes on Monday. He usually gives a pretty candid assessment of the teams play
I don't, down 2-0 , on th PP, and he goes after the puck like Toller Cranston.
I play a more physical game and I'm pushing 60
Gardiner needs to realize he's not playing beer league hockey
A week ago, I was hoping that deal could be made for Coutourier-Gardiner
Now I'm wondering if Gardiner needs to clear waivers to get sent down
5 days, 11 hours ago on Game Day: Game #8, Boston Bruins at Toronto Maple Leafs (7 p.m., CBC)
It's with an E Ingy
Couple of trades.
Ballard used to to say Inge Hammerstrom could go into a corner with a dozen eggs in hos pockets and not break one
I've never been on the tank bandwagon, but these guys aren't going to win SFA . So why not
What is this home ice advantage thing that everyone raves about?
So far this season
The good news- It won't cost dick to get KAdri resigned
The bad news-Bernier is UFA, why stay aboard this leaky boat
8 games in we are reduced to hoping other teams lose
It's going to be a long season
2 bad bounces makes it 2-0
Gardiner finally started pushing the play and then 2 brain cramps put the game out of reach
Maple Leafs- always finding new ways to lose
Jersey toss tonite?
Pretty hard to blame Carlyle. Five lines wouldn't make any difference
No heart, no drive , no ability to overcome adversity, no goals by Kessel
