@B_Leaf @Leafbites @Mcost61 @theacs1966 Yes, this is enough evidence to be considered a trend. I think this hole has been dug to deep to crawl out of, irregardless of what point we're at in this new season.

@B_Leaf @Mcost61 @theacs1966 That is a staggering number, for sure.

What a dreadful game of hockey. I think I just heard my TV tell me to go read a book.

@Doorman You must have been soaking those turkey bones in scotch today!

Bernier is good for at least one stinker, we know this. If he's decent, otherwise, this will be a closer affair tonight. I predict a regulation tie, 3-3.

@Xxxxxnew Sorry, don't need graphics to know the leafs haven't been a playoff team for the last decade. Still have no idea what this has to do with Carlyle? Are you supposed to be suggesting it's at the mgmt level and not anything to do with Carlyle?
6 days, 10 hours ago on Saturday Mashup: Round Two, Hopefully Better than Round One
@Xxxxxnew If this is in defence of Carlyle's on ice product, it's weak sauce.
6 days, 11 hours ago on Saturday Mashup: Round Two, Hopefully Better than Round One
Whether you are in the Fire Carlyle camp or not, it's become quite apparent that he has no answers for this team. Well, he did also admit to this last year and really nothing has changed.
@Alec Brownscombe @gjdevlin For a player like Phaneuf to lose even half a step, it'll obviously be detrimental to his game, he wasn't fleet of foot to begin with.
@Bring the Cup Home @Leafbites @gjdevlin We need help with possession, on both the forward group and blueline, though.
@Bring the Cup Home @Leafbites @gjdevlin Then why not trade someone not effective in this area. Why rob Peter to pay Paul. Why spin our tires?
@Bring the Cup Home @gjdevlin Bottom line, this team is a woeful possession team–it's the area that needs addressing more than any other. Gardinar, for all his warts, drives possession more than any other member of this team. Why on earth would you want to continue to get weaker in this area?
@Bring the Cup Home @Leafbites I would trim off the Fransons, the Phaneufs and the Bozaks, and look to stockpile more younger possession type players, not deal them away.
6 days, 12 hours ago on Saturday Mashup: Round Two, Hopefully Better than Round One
@Bring the Cup Home Why anyone would want to keep the veteran members of this core together is beyond me. They will Never be a contender with this group. Trading away young players is the Wrong move for this franchise.
@Cameron19 @Leafbites He shows no effort to retrieve pucks in defensive zone...he's a floater and he may not be the worst ever, but drives me crazy
1 week ago on Game Day: Game #5, Detroit Red Wings at Toronto Maple Leafs (7:30 p.m., SNO)
For league-wide vets, Bozak has to be the worst defensive centre in the NHL, by a mile. I've never seen a hockey player show less desire, less compete...it's appalling
Man, our pp1 is so predictable and stagnant, its painful to watch...and wtf does Bozie do anyway, do we need a decoy on a pp?
Reims bailing out the D, Again!

@Jay_Berg It's an abomination
'not showing up prepared', equally responsible is coaching staff.

@B_Leaf @Jordan29 Yeah, we know your stance on that paper bag head
@docmma Dude, you don't like Kadri, but going after him for ALMOST making mistakes is a little much
@mtommy Hey man, didn't you get the memo? Phil says, Relax....
Hey Phil, just RELAX bro.
And the beat goes on.
@Burtonboy @Mind Bomb I like Ashton, he battles, but that kid has no confidence with the puck at the NHL level.
4 weeks, 1 day ago on Game Review: Preseason Game #4, Senators 4 vs. Maple Leafs 3 (SO)
@LeafsGuru Agreed, Winnick and maybe Frattin of the bodies brought in. Booth, Konti and Santa haven't done anything to earn a spot, imo.

@Alec Brownscombe Leivo looks ready
@Alec Brownscombe Always makes the right play, not flashy

Hat tip to Bibeau, but I remain interested in the Gibson kid, who I think will emerge among the Marlies group this season.

It seems that RC's easing into the idea of overhauling his baby, his fate is basically going to come down to player deployment, unless the tweaked system hasn't a heartbeat.
I like RC the human, loved RC the player, but I'm still not convinced with RC the bench boss–hope he adapts and proves me wrong
@barjv01 @Mattmark I also like the idea of him and Lupul making up 2/3 of a scoring line, maybe with Clarkson, matched against 3rd pairing D's. There's opportunity for balance with this group, depending on injuries.
@Mind Bomb @Leafbites @Komas Taberle @Burtonboy He needs to be waived but I love that goon
1 month ago on Thursday Mashup: Feschuk drops bomb, camp opens with physicals and media day
@Komas Taberle @Burtonboy Well, we know it wasn't a backhand saucer for a tap in
@mike_84 Not sure if he's parted in the middle or combed to the side, either way he's gellin'
@Cameron19 @Jmessih A Booth would likely lessen the line's offensive output but would make that unit much more responsible. When I think about Lupul there, I think too bad for that D pairing. With this depth, Lupul can be a guy you get out against weaker comp and he should put up some numbers.
@The_Polish_Cannon Phook, that is
@The_Polish_Cannon Not to mention, he's a pure beaut
@Yaknowwhat Do you guys actually believe that if Phil worked out an extra day a week he would be better? That's, well, laughable.
@Leafs2 Isles1 Good post but as I see it, Phil is the good guy everyone wants to hang with and likely goes a long way toward camaraderie. He's a genuine dude and performs his role (lighting up oppositions) admirably. I think that's all anyone should expect, given Phil's character.
@Burtonboy @Doorman @wiski I totally pegged you as a Pinot guy. Can't beat French red, though.
Sam I am, now scram you hams?
@Bon Scott was a Leaf fan He needs an El Kabong with Ingy's turtleneck turd shovel.
Hey Phook–this forum needs our little green buddy back!

I like Paul, very bright dude.
