@CanuckUKinToronto @Burtonboy @MaxwellHowe  I preferred Virtanen for a couple of weeks but after I began to really dig I think Ehlers should be the guy we go with if they are both available at the 8 spot.

@Czarofleafnation  If he's learned to bring his physical game consistently and go to the net he should be on our 3rd line at least.

@rustynail @MaxwellHowe  Me as well. Bernier has been out with two injuries this year but it seems like neither is related. Let's just hope it was a freak accident and he'll be back to play at the same level next year.

@MaxwellHowe  Honestly, we should be keeping him in my opinion. Bernier has played well this season but it's one season. We need to keep that in mind. Until we see him do it again we need a capable back up to push him and maybe even take the no.1 spot. If Reimer wants to go that's a different story but at this point we should hang onto both.

@Jmessih  Virtanen's game is tantalizing and is certainly the guy I want because it's such a rugged power forward game but Ehlers has quite a bit of skill. I was in the Virtanen camp for the last week but after doing some more research I like Ehlers now.

@.JVR. @Bruffins  Dressing 11 forwards wasn't the problem. It was playing 1 or 2 of those 11 forwards for less than 10 minutes consistently.

@MaxwellHowe @wendelsfist  That's a big problem with the stat. People use it to measure individual success in terms of possession but a lot of it depends on your teammates. So as a stat for a teams possession overall it carries some merit but in terms of individual corsi ratings it's garbage, in my opinion, for the most part

@4evrblue @maple1967leafs  Yes they could and the guy at 8th could be top 6 but Bennet, Ekblad and Reinhart all have the potential to be top tier players.

@Mind Bomb @MaxwellHowe @Burtonboy  Too be fair Skinner was a small C who came straight into the NHL so it might not be a bad idea.

You make it sound like trading into the top 3 is easy. Remember it took a 2nd and 3rd to move from 7th overall to 5th a few years back. The jump from 8 or 9 would be quite a bit to pay.

@wendelsway1 @Chris Jay @Lescott  I guess that's true. I want him to stay simply b/c we don't know if Bernier keeps up this play down the road. He could still steal back the job from Bernier for all we know.

@MaxwellHowe @Mind Bomb @Burtonboy  No, it's just a matter of trying to get someone who is closer to the show when we go this early in the draft. Get better sooner b/c Kessel and Ph9 aren't getting any younger.

@CanuckUKinToronto @Mind Bomb @MaxwellHowe @Burtonboy  I look back at that draft and expected 6/10 to play or at least get close. So it doesn't surprise me, it was a strong draft. I'm just saying that isn't the norm. Besides Rielly is in for us now and we had this happen to us before. His name was Luke Schenn...

@ProfessorRance @Anthony Petrielli @Cameron19  You're right. We would get less for Bozak but Kadri is the better player and ultimately should be the guy we keep. Younger and arguably better already.

@Chris Jay @Lescott  Why are we even talking about moving Reimer at this point. Bernier has played 1 season. For all we know he can crash and burn next year. Reimer shouldn't be moved as of yet.

@Mind Bomb @MaxwellHowe @Burtonboy  Trouba was drafted in the 12 draft. Didn't come straight into the league.
Skinner was the exception not the rule.
Nushuckin should have been a top 5 pick at least in his draft and for some reason fell to 10.

I'm not saying the Leafs can't get this to happen but outside of the top 3 it's far less likely to happen.
