@Jordan29 You don't think so. I think site loyalties make up some of perceptions. None of us feel much loyalty to any traditional newspaper.

Got a feeling that if the Notebooks were published in the mainstream media instead of on a blogsite by "one of their own", half the people here would hate the author. just my opinion. lol
Amaroque sp? or something like that. Think he switched to Radar O'Reilly
@djamon You recall who it was?
I noticed down below you suggested Keon, but I don't think so.
Don't think he cares that much.
I heard about this. Is there proof that this commenter was from over there and not just someone pissed off with Cameron?
I've seen nothing but pure class from Steven Andrews about this site. One can't say the same for Declan.
@Anthony Petrielli Apologies to you then.
Well that leaves one.
If you 2 guys had been around when this site started, you would understand the foolishness of making comments like this.
DK :"If you're looking for narcissists talking about themselves nonstop and everything else under the sun other than hockey, but under the guise of a hockey site, I can help direct you elsewhere."
AP:"If they are shooting for the hockey talk equivalent of a few guys in a bar more than a few beers deep, they've got it."
Last 3 games Bozak has had 52% of all PP time. (with Kessel and JVR).
That 1st PP unit could definitely use a big shot of Kadri right now.
If Kadri could get some of that juicy PP time with Kessel that Bozak is still getting, he might be able to beat that total,
You're living in a fog Cameron.
I wouldn't doubt you've purposely been on better behavior for a while, but for years you've been attacking people in the way you accuse others. And to pretend otherwise is insincere and just plain bullshit, the Cameron way.
I been saying keep Percy for the last couple of years but he was weak behind the net last night losing the puck too easily twice on one shift within 10 seconds, the second time to Marchand who walked out in front for a chance. I have no problem sitting developing players for short periods of time. Leafs might want give players they are looking to trade some icetime.

Good analogy on Gardiner. Wildebeest are the dumbest, most frustrating animals you'll ever see. lol
So it's pretty well a given that next game the team will breakout of the zone easily, string together 3 or 4 passes in a row all game and look like a billion bucks.
The game after that however.... : )
@ingy56 Yeah, I got that.
@ingy56 Umm...???? haha?
Nope. You're wrong. Didn't happen.
People remained oblivious to his short comings. Didn't WANT to hear it. When I pointed out his defensive deficiencies the common reply was that he was a rookie and would learn. When I said he didn't have the mindset for defense people didn't want to believe it.
Yes I WAS the only one saying it for a long time. (3 years for me)
So once again, bullshit.
Don't try to rewrite history with a faulty memory Cameron.
Get it straight for christ sake. Me saying Gardiner should have been traded and wondering what other people were looking at is in no way pinning everything on him. If you think that's what I said or even implied, your comprehension skills are lacking.
So did anyone ever find out who Jake Gardiner compared his game to that Carlyle thought was so funny?
Ryan Suter maybe?
Here's a question for you. Who the hell pin pointed this all on Gardiner? Not me.
@Shafty $ 7M per. 6 more years after this season.
HH is a squeaky wheel that you remember. lol
I called out Gardiner well before HH.
I remember the first time he complained about Joke and it was long after, but it was nice to see someone else finally saw it.
To be fair HH had been banned for quite a while at the time. : )
For three friggin years I've pointed out the huge gaps in Gardiner's game and said trading him in a package for something better would be the best move and not one person here agreed. Not one. Now you all want to trade him. lol Makes me wonder, what the hell were you looking at?
I don't know Matt. Not sure what I may or may not know here. lol
But not looking for the story tonight thx.

@Cameron19 Thanks... but that's alright. I'm just kidding
Seems to be a few people absent here lately.
Did I miss out on a special offer to upgrade to MLHS Platinum or something like that?
@Bruffins Grabovski with the hat trick? ; )
Obviously it's about asset management and when management should/shouldn't quit on players, especially big centres, as much as the actual players involved. Learning from mistakes and not repeating history is the real topic here and that's a legitimate concern.
@Mind Bomb lol
@Loric76 Who are you kiding. You never read past the 3rd paragraph. ; )
"The Dallas Stars traded Alex Chiasson and a 2nd round pick for Jason Spezza - a 70 point center with size.
The Anaheim Ducks traded Nick Bonino and a 2nd round pick for Ryan Kesler - a 70 point two-way center with size."
But those deals are both player plus 2nd round pick. We don't have a 2nd.
We gave Blacker plus a 3rd to get Holland, but Super Dave continued to let Carlyle mismanage the roster, somehow giving up a 2nd when a mere mortal would have only given up a 3rd.
This after pissing away centre depth in Colborne for a 4th round pick in preseason.
It's not like a smart GM might have considered that Bolland could get injured, or anything. I mean WHO could have possibly seen THAT coming? (Find your own answer here... "Everyone in the hockey world." is already taken.)
But hey, we got to keep Troy Bodie and keep Wickie and family happy. (That worked out well)
Super Dave Nonis, the man considered by some here, to be the best hockey mind in the universe, gave up Jesse Blacker and a 2nd round pick minus a 4th rounder while substituting Holland for Colborne.
So even if you consider Colborne for Holland a wash, would you trade a prospect and a 2nd round pick for a 4th round pick?
That's called Asset Management - Nonis Style, folks. lol
EDIT: Sure would be nice to have a 2nd rounder this year for trade purposes. : )
That was when Nonis listened to Carlyle. Someone with a clue has since showed him the obvious.... It's not a good idea let Carlyle build your team.
Nonis should go back to playing The Boy Wonder to Burke's Batman.

Sour grapes from a Canucks writer. No surprise in that and not particularly true in respect to Raymond's history with the Vancouver.
@wiski @TorontoMapleLeafs The curse of Carlyle. imo
Yeah, I find he gets more of a rap than he deserves.
@Bon Scott was a Leaf fan
Intermittent for me. Have sometimes refreshed to find more comments.
Trying to cater to mobile, but now it's junk.
@hometeem Ryan, Filppula, Stastny.
Bennett injured. Out 4-6 months
Don't know if anyone else noticed but that TSN hockey site is just garbage this year. How could you possibly fuck something up that bad? lol
Might not be the worst move to start Reimer against Pitts and come back with Bernier the next night in New York.
"If we're just mediocre we might as well be shitty."
Frattin with 9 points in his last 59 games. (Career 35/127)
Top linemates in LA: Jeff Carter, Mike Richards.
Top linemates in TO: Kadri, Grabovski, MacArthur.
Time to move on from this guy.
Not to jump on Dion but there was a very similar play (don't recall who) later in the game. Robidas switched to take the man and had time to squeeze him out while Dion moved to cover the middle. Don't like Dion on the left side.
Can't have a guy just leaving his socks laying around everywhere. ; )
Shots from the home plate area Bernier eats up. Small sample, but he seems to have a problem with shots coming from the side of the net when it's a weak goal.
4 months, 3 weeks ago on Game Review: Game #1, Montreal Canadiens 4 vs. Toronto Maple Leafs 3
Liked the Percy pick right away but 1st pair potential was never my impression, Good 3-4/5 imo.
@wiski Are you sure. I've never noticed. Maybe you need to speak up more. ; )
