@Yan28 I feel for Reimer, your point is bang on.

@Bruffins And you wonder why these teams have such great home records. Get ready for "The Reffing: Part 2" tonight. Also really liked (/s) the missed high sticks and the couple of cross checks to back of Gunnar's head by Beauch in the 1st. Nice to see the NHL still trying to get head shots out of the game.

Just finished the game, tape delay if you will. Loved Gleason, Ranger and Phaneuf's play. Not much Phaneuf hate going on right now ;) And what else can be said about the top line.
What selective reffing it was tonight, Bernier should have had the shutout. Had to beat a great opponent and the refs. Makes all the sweeter.Edit: Bernier was fantastic too. Have to have goaltending to beat good teams.

Is it juts me or does this thing (Peverly and heart conditions) seem to be happening more frequently with athletes? Not just hockey, futbol/soccer players have collapsed same with basketball players. So scary.
@lister @mclokiI honestly think if they had new play by play, Healy wouldn't be so bad, he was fine before. Or maybe it's the "script" HNIC runs with.

@mcloki @DJBrianBurkeI hope not lol Not sure it would get much traction, it would make the games longer.
@lister @DJBrianBurkeAh, I never get a chance to watch the pregame. Too bad. Guess there are so many shows that do it now too.
With all this HNIC talk, does anyone know what happened to Satellite Hotstove? They just stopped doing it after the Roger deal was announced.
@MaxwellHowe @Loric76George is going to be good, but it has to be Ron and Don. They're great together and they almost have the same name. Plus George is a bit of a name and is only going to get bigger, there is only enough room for one on Coaches Corner and last I checked, George has never been a coach.
@MikeGartner11 @DJBrianBurkeI hope you can. I was in the same position when I lived in Montreal, I was able to get almost all games on Center Ice, but that blackout crap needs to stop, so I hope this deal basically gets rid of it. I understand the argument to have it down south, but not in Canada. Let us choose.
@mcloki @DJBrianBurkeYes, and the times they are a changing. Finally anyone anywhere can watch the team of their choice. Fans have only been asking for that for decades.
@dlb eh @rustynaillol Yeah I doubt they share the same political views.
LMAO the French Canadian reporter asks if HNIC is going to basically stop showing only Leafs games. Sorry bud. The Habs do not pull in the same cash.
@lister @DJBrianBurkeToo agree and said so in the past. Bowen SHOULD do all Leafs games. All NHL teams expect Canadian teams (minus the Habs), have their guys do all the games. It only makes sense.
@lister @DJBrianBurke If the average hockey fan was like George, we'd all have our own shows across many networks and mediums :)
@lister @DJBrianBurkeSo basically he's is doing that (watching the conference). Should be good. Now if they can only do something with Jim and Simpson.
@lister @DJBrianBurke I'm just speculating, but I think that's how they might do HNIC. Again, I don't feel George's hockey IQ is up there all (Habs jokes aside). Music yes, hockey not so much. I hope he proves me wrong, I like him.
@lister I like George too, they are shifting away from the Ron to bring in someone new, happens all the time. But it sounds to me that his role will be different than what Ron used to do, more of a throw to the show and not get into the nitty-gritty hockey talk, which is fine by me (like Duthie?). I really doubt he has time to watch every game every night. Ron and Don still together is a good call. Don would probably punch George in the face at some point. He's come close with Ron.
@Burtonboy If they get Hughson to announce it, expect some Leafs' hate ;)
