@MaxwellHowe Probably not the cause, but there is something to be said about messing with a winning lineup.

@ingy56 The refs have no one to blame but themselves.
@ingy56 And yet Habs and their fans always seem to complain about the refs. I guess when you get preferential treatment all the time, you just come to expect it.
I kid of course.

@LN-093 @DJBrianBurke @MaxwellHowe Ugh, I sure hope not. Getting outshot constantly doesn't help our cause either.
@LN-093 @DJBrianBurke @MaxwellHowe It's games like these that give Leafs' fans battered wife syndrome and why we can never really truly believe in this team.
@MaxwellHowe Sure there's emotional letdowns, but it's hard to swallow when it's against such a pathetic team that have only scored 6 goals in the last 6 games.
@king leary Worse team in he NHL and a low scoring team too, no excuse. Didn't even looked pissed that they're win streak went up in a pitiful smoke.
@Dogger Let's hope. That's not always the case with out Leafs lol
@Dogger Crazy bad teams seem to have our number. It's down right insane.
@Mcost61 Our record against them says we probably don't lol
As much as this game pisses me off, are any of us surprised? A lot of people were scared this would happen.
Same old same old for the Leafs. Can't beat a crap team and throughly outshot to boot.
@GLG I don't think we'll ever see a Lindros move again. It was a perfect storm.

@BoneChompski @Dougie Wraparound Then Pierre Mcguire definitely has them. Mario probably does too.
Throw in Bettman and the entire CBC broadcast crew.

@Mcost61 Watching your 7 game winning streak slip away brings out the best in people I guess lol

@Xxxxxnew That's a nice room. Is that each player's own photo above their stall? Nice touch if so.

@traNsplantEdneWfie So the Habs move up 4 spots in the top 10 beating who? And the Leafs beat the best team in the league only moving up 3 spots in the middle of the pack. FIFA may be busted but at least they know how to rank. Beating LA alone is worth many spots since they are the champs.
@Bring the Cup Home @B_Leaf @DJBrianBurke Isn't it funny that if the Leafs can avoid losing those "easy wins" it can be viewed as another turning point or another example of how this year's team is different? What a strange (recent) past we have.

@B_Leaf @DJBrianBurke I guess there's that for Oils fans. But that many in a row is beyond brutal.
@B_Leaf 14 loses in a row worse?
@Yaknowwhat @DJBrianBurke @Cameron19 @Burtonboy The sad part for the "first world nations"? They don't have to be. They really don't.
@Bring the Cup Home @DJBrianBurke @sniperstar @Burtonboy Probably right. Would be interesting to hear the chatter. Might help the dog days of summer not be so boring hockey wise.
@dlb, just dlb @DJBrianBurke Was it 2011? Holy crap!
@Cameron19 @Yaknowwhat @DJBrianBurke @Burtonboy It's amazing what a country can do when they listen and serve it's citizens. Sweden for example have basically eliminated trash. What have we done? Oh right, we're trying to build a giant pipe that runs down our coast to feed the states…
@Cameron19 @Yaknowwhat @DJBrianBurke @Burtonboy Not just oil companies, most major companies. It's sickening.
Edit: Can't not like this enough.
@Yaknowwhat @Cameron19 @DJBrianBurke @Burtonboy One word Harper. In the US six words: Can't cut taxes to the rich.
Edit: that's as far as I'll go.
@Yaknowwhat @DJBrianBurke @Burtonboy The amount they spend on that is a fraction of what they bring in. Not taking into account the health ramifications of course (drunk driving, alcoholism etc). But gambling is pretty tough and so is alcohol. I will say that so far that cities and countries that have made weed legal, haven't run into major problems. It's has boosted their economy and tax revenue 10 fold. Should see how many bakeries have opened up in those states lol.
@Cameron19 @Burtonboy I feel for the citizens, it just hasn't been good there for a long time.
@Bring the Cup Home @sniperstar @Burtonboy Is there anyone that is really sought after playing there right now? Might be just a case of not knowing what player X from KHL can bring in the NHL so some teams take a flyer?
@Yaknowwhat @Burtonboy Some things are ok. You have to find money somewhere if you're just going to give tax breaks to your friends and let others in your cabinet spend they way they want.
@Yaknowwhat @Komas Taberle @Burtonboy Dallas, Dallas, Dallas….
@Burtonboy How that marijuana law going guys? Tax money anyone? No? Ok I got it, let's just do more gambling. Gambling couldn't be any worse right?
@Yaknowwhat @DJBrianBurke Read it wrong. It is scary for sure in light of what happened last year.
@Yaknowwhat Dude! Don't you remember what happened last year? (lol sort of)
@Burtonboy Comrade Komo knew this would happen! He can see into the future. He's magical.
@sniperstar @DJBrianBurke @Yaknowwhat In the end the Leafs won by 5 so it doesn't make much of a difference now. Although that goal did create the avalanche.
@Komas Taberle Robi was hurt for a long time and missed a lot, it was always going to take time. Playoffs (hopefully) will be interesting to see what he brings, he'll have the most experience for sure.
@sniperstar @DJBrianBurke @Yaknowwhat Not sure, it looked like his skate was right against the post, the puck just flew over the height of the pad, not much he could do there except maybe have his glove sitting on top. It was a tough bounce for sure either way. I wouldn't fault Bernier or Reimer if it happened to them.
@sniperstar @Yaknowwhat I found it a bit of a head scratcher when they blamed Booth's goal on him. It clearly went off a dman's skate and bounced (flukey I might add) over his pad.

@dlb, just dlb @DJBrianBurke And that's why I wish the Gilmour comparisons needs to calm down. Remember the Sun did the same on the front page, there was no need for that. Kadri wasn't even playing the same type of game. They just have the same sort of build and Kadri has a lot of skill and a bit of a bite.
Put it this way, right now most would say Bergeron is the best two way player correct? Is Kadri close to him? Would you compare the two (minus Bergeron not being much of a psychical player)?
@oldhockeyfan @DJBrianBurke Exactly, he knew from day one.
Man that going back a ways, a lot of people forget he started in St. Louis.
@Cameron19 @Yaknowwhat Leafs have a tendency to make any goalie look weak this year :)
@dlb, just dlb @DJBrianBurke Thing is he was good in Calgary, especially in the cup run. Only team that I cheered for to win the cup, not so the other team didn't win it, although it was the Habs…
Calgray just had depth, if they knew what they really had they would have asked for more, trust me.
When Naz is hitting he's that much better, he doesn't do it all the time which is fine right now as I think he's trying to learn how to be better all around and once everything will fall into place all that will follow. I can't wait for that to happen.
One thing that Gilmour was very good at was holding the puck and not losing it. Which is tough for smaller guys, unlike Sundin who could have a guy piggybacking on him and still skate around the net.
Agreed on the playoffs, that were your legend is made.
@Cameron19 @DJBrianBurke It may be a different era, but you can compare the way they play and Kadri isn't there yet. You can't honestly say they're close.
I'm not ready to anoint him "the next Gilmour" until he shows me more. I wish people would calm about the comparisons. Kadri is Kadri, Dougie was Dougie. I hope he can get close, but that is asking A LOT.
@WesternDP When Kadri is a defensive stalwart and wins a Selke then sure. You have to remember that Gilmour was beyond tenacious when he didn't have the puck. Also, right now Kadri hasn't had the chance to show off many sweet passes that Gilmour was famous for. Don't get me wrong I like Kadri, but Gilmour was elite.
@DeclanK I wonder if Washington misses him.

"While the last two games have seen the Leafs broadly outplayed at ES in the first two frames, their solid third periods, against quality teams — and, in the LA game, on short rest — is a great sign."
It's been a long time since I have seen some consistent killer instinct from this team. Of course the hope is they can keep up the winning ways ALL year. Some good signs so far though. And they're doing it through some injuries.
@ninepaces Same here, bad on the Raps for posting the video. WTF were they thinking?
