Anyone read the WOWYS link above. I'm not into these stats but the implications are "between the eyes". I hope Shana-can CAN can RC.

WFist: sounds like you are in the fraternity of "damaged psyche" Leafers, based on hard years. Proof will be on the ice. We beLeaf but with a degree of anxiety and doubt. I do believe the years of failure will be rewarded, our owners paid a very rich price. When we, as fans are convinced we have a strong front office, coaching and scouting staffs, a la Detroit, beLeaf will come easier.

Bboy: Id like to give you major props for your positive attitude towards coming change, and the inference that it might be quicker than we think. I'm intrigued as to the research you are doing.

Personally, I have no feel for Shanahan's management abilities. I feel Lieweke is about change, and moves fast (the hare) whereas NoNo is "careful" (the tortoise). Maybe this is a necessary balance for this period of evaluation. Based on history, I have little confidence. The most telling optic for MLSE desire to correct a bad season would have been to fire RC the day after. Not saying it would be a smart move, just a telling move. Appointment of an unknown (and someone who seemed, to the fans, to flip flop on his punishment awards) probably did not send out a strong clear signal.

I'm sensing death by a thousand cuts, but with few actual cuts. Maybe My subconscious is dreading an off season of Chinese water torture, where the drips are even few and far between. I will happily live with little change on the players side if they bring in a trusted team defensive system, which facilitates our trade mark fast break.

Please continue with your positivity, your perceptions, and your refutations. To all posters here, keep the posts going and come strong on where change should be and how. Alec, Declan, AP, the Michaels, and the MIA Mislav (really miss you brother) please find the intriguing links (dont consider PPP in this or any other category). OUT!!!!

The biggest overhaul needed by the Leafs is the Defensive system (D-men & Forwards). Goes without saying. Roles within then are defined and weaknesss identified, and with much luck, appropriate new players (or marlies) are brought in.

Bon, we have some great pieces, so I would agree with you. Biggest issue for me is the Coach. Without the right one, our jewels will be just gems. Gotta believe the Brain Trust, but history says......

The House that Alec built, Home to many. Sincerest thanks. Now more than ever we will need the Hot Stove. Alec, Declan, AP, michael(s), Mislav, and those I've missed, you have made being a Leafer a great shared experience. You have brought together serious hockey talent, and daily charged up posters with the opportunity for expression and venting. MLSE is in chaos, MLHS is a Leader.

Shifty: if we had the time, I could tell you a lot. Truly great I got invested in, and then watched him traded was Vinny D. Still angry about the trade. I could have a wardrobe full of named Leaf shirts. For me, our owners and managers have been a great training ground. Many of those traded have gone on to good-to-great careers. Meanwhile LeafNation collects wrecked memories.

Leafs final season game....Optimus stands on his head, and leaves on a huge high. But I want the best draft position. I am a huge fan, I don't wantnReims to be remembered for the goals allowed in his final game. I am torn. I was a fan of the Monster, I am a fan of Reims, I must carry a curse. For the good of the team I hate Bernier!!!! Burkie, Reims, Leo. I was invested in you. No matter where you are, I will follow you willing your success. Thank you for the memories.

RC, I bet fou F Up tonight's result as well.

I'm late to the party, but interested in posters views. The Panther game suggests to me RC has lost the room. Players should be caring about next year and showing Mgmt something. MLSE needs a good broom. The key to success is going to be the coach. No re-treads please. We need a proven commodity. There is unlimited funds to drive this, but is there the appetite? I am a doubter, but in hope that the desire to succeed is there.

To All Good Night.. Because for me it was a good night. I can take solace in the fact that the real truth was out there for all to see. And we have gained some good draft position. Not having to make the most out of a Gauthier, but a chance for some talent.

I still bleed blue and white, and I am extremely proud to be associated with all you great MLHS posters. Look for the silver lining because eventually it will bE Stanley coming home.

Good night all, and in all, a good night!

Dennis Green said it, but I wonder how many of Management might take heed.... Remember. " We are what we thought we are". Then there was "Playoffs, don't talk to me about playoffs". NoNo will be polite and evasive. I want colour, I want profound, "I want the truth, because I can handle the truth".

AP: solid but a little on the sympathetic side if I may suggest. History makes it hard to speculate just how conservative vs new broom MLSE will be post season. I have been a strong advocate for FRanson, but this season has left me concerned. Emotionally I request his cap be used for Leo the Leaf-Heart. If I had a wish, Couturier please. And would trade Naz, Luups to make it happen. I believe Kulie and Reims have to be trade pieces, not sure our speedy Knuclehead can get us anything.

Last year our third line was MIA, this year again with competition from the Second. I am in absolute agreement about the fourth. We have talent, let's develop it. We need a coach that knows how to motivate Gards. When he is on, Amen. Rielly is the crown jewel, but needs a smart mentor. Pha9 worries me.

Off-season will be like most IMO. We will be rejected by the best, and will struggle to sign what we need. Gut reaction..... Anticipate a big disappointment. BUT for me the biggest need, and the one that will have the biggest impact of any, the right new head coach.

From memory July has always been disappointing. No reason to expect anything different. We will be shunned by the big names, and have to be content with a few poor (not sloppy) seconds. If RC stays its going to be even harder to attract anyone. Resign Bolland and we have no money. I'm hoping Lieweke brings an inspired off season, but rinse repeat is running through my ears.

PH: I respect your knowledge and views, but find your suggested top line strange. I understand the rationale, but Clarkson on the top line? Personally I would keep Kessel given he is so über competititve and find the best complementary players (thinking JVR probably is one). I would not reward the Go Station. I would also do my damnedest to land Couturier!!!!!

Murph: for a young player with huge potential and a low cap hit, something has to go back the other way. While I like your deal price, it would seem too lite. I think someone like Naz or Kulie or Luups would have to be in the mix.
