I believe they added these guys to trade a couple at the deadline...smart move in a rebuild I would say

probably mixing it up with the rookie tournament in sept.

I saw a picture of Nylander doing pull ups at the leaf camp and was pleasantly surprised with the size of his arms and shoulders. He looks bigger than alot of the current Leafs...he looks like he enjoys the gym.
@philthethrill @Bruffins @wendelsfist
That's because it is the players fault, some people on here just can't bring themselves to admit that some of their favorite players have become entitled and are unwilling to do the spade work that it takes to win.
1 month ago on Wednesday Mashup: Dubas Mania
Saw a picture of Nylander doing pullups on the Leaf site; he is huge compared to Kadri. Kadri look's like he hasn't lifted a weight in his life.
1 month, 1 week ago on Maple Leafs re-sign Peter Holland to 2-year, $1.55 million deal
I think you guys are not acknowledging that Ashton was given every opportunity to succeed in the early season but kept getting his face broken or his ass handed to him cause he was trying to be a tough guy.

You don't think we gave up a lot of leads to empty netters in the last couple of years?
1 month, 3 weeks ago on Toronto Maple Leafs Updated Depth Chart
Both Frattin and Komarov could really get in on the fore check...we missed that last year
Maybe they will sign Kulimen after he gets a better sense of his worth, or lack there of, on the open market.
I think the way he scored empty netters was a valued skill in it's own right; would be kind of nice to have a guy like that to throw over the boards in that situation to help lock down the win.

and Frattin doesn't leave the zone early to pad his stats
They were better then most in the east this year until they lost their #1 goalie and the compete level of the rest of the league went up a notch. If this team can learn to stay with the game plan and up their compete level then I believe they will start to be more consistent winners
@TheCanucksnaphook @CanuckUKinToronto @Reversethecurse13
Our team was talented, it just didn't know how to compete...I think the shuffling was required.
If you remember he played center for us in a pinch,he was pretty good on the face off, but he preferred to play wing...said there was more action on the wing.

1 month, 4 weeks ago on Draft Day Two Wrap Up: Gunnarsson for Polak, offensive focus to Leafs’ draftees
I don't think our team is bad so much as it needs to get it's mind set right.Our team skates with the best of them and is constantly scoring it's way out of trouble. If these guys could be convinced to compete on a nightly bases I believe we are as good as any in the east.

If the playoffs were any indication, then I would say that Brennan has developed his defensive game and I could see him signing up for a shot with the big club next year
Great, just what we need; another young guy who thinks he's better then he is and believes he is too skilled to have to work for a win
2 months, 1 week ago on (Thursday Mashup) Silly Season
Have you spent much time watching him play?
2 months, 1 week ago on (Wednesday Mashup) Leafs hit with a bonus overage charge
Oh, my mistake...well that changes everything
My point is, I don't know much about the guy and I'm just wondering if he was a soft player or a guy who competes hard with incredible discipline.
What suggestion...I'm asking a question; if your referring to option 3, I guess I should have used a smiley face but I thought the sarcasm was obvious
Since your the smart guy maybe you can tell me how a guy can go through a season of puck battles and not get at least 1 holding or tripping penalty.
I'm thinking they're putting it on the players and we will see who they blame by the moves they make.
I remember reading that Ryan O'Reilly went through the whole season without taking a penalty. That's an amazing feat in it's own right but it made me wonder about his compete level. So what's the answer; does the guy have incredible discipline over his stick and his body or does he quit when the puck battle get's physical...option #3 is that the ref's look the other way because it's Colorado and they're trying to rebuild the market.
@mike_84 @TheCanucksnaphook @Alec Brownscombe
Raymond was part of the problem, constantly left the zone early to cheat on offensive and gave no outlet to the d. You watch the good teams, they come out as a 5 man unit.

How do you role 4 lines when half the team is scared of it's own shadow
I don't think he's wrong in most of what he says...he's actually more sensible then most
@dlb Reggie @Anthony Petrielli
Chiarelli said yesterday that they would replace him with one of their young guys
Just because the reasons are well documented on this site, doesn't make them right.
you should talk to Ashton...someone has to remind that kid he hasn't got the tools to be an enforcer so he will stop breaking his face on other people.
2 months, 2 weeks ago on (Friday Mashup) Two Weeks to Draft Day
Did you see the other candidates? They gave us bad, worse and worser
He should walk; he is way over paid for what he brings. My point was that the fact that people find him so valuable tells you more about how the rest of the team neglects defensive responsibility then it does about Kulamin's value.
2 months, 2 weeks ago on (Thursday Mashup) Too Much Cash for Komarov? Mutual interest with Dan Boyle?
I think it say's more about the leafs then it does the players when we find guys like Komarov and Kuliman indispensable.

Those guys are so dumb I can't listen to them. That knuckle head Brady can't hide his hate for the Leafs. He lives to slam everything about them. He's a Red wing fan who acts like he personally carried that team to all their success. The sound of his voice turns my stomach. And by the way, I agree, only a moron would consider trading JVR for Thorton.
@Dangle_My_Berries @TheCanucksnaphook @Mcost61
Funny thing; when i worked in the north the 2 most common logo's worn on the reserves were the Blackhawks and the Redskins...go figure.

2 months, 2 weeks ago on Maple Leafs Assistant Coach Candidates: Ted Dent and Mark Morris
@loomx @jcg_4 @TheCanucksnaphook @Simmsation
I am not talking about role players, I am talking about potential high end talent. If Ritchie is that guy then they need to go get him. This team is in desperate need of some talented guys with the will to win puck battles and the size and skill to get it done.
We've got far too many little guys on this team already if you ask me; most of them play like they're scared to death. We need size and a willingness to engage; until the leafs address this I would rather not see any more undersized, timid players
@loomx @TheCanucksnaphook @Simmsation
I know that's the popular sentiment, but i disagree...look where this philosophy got Edmonton...sometimes it's just crazy to pick more of what you already have.
Not a big deal, but you've got Spott's pre-game comments with the header of post game comments.
