Shanahan is now on the clock.
Five 100 point seasons in the last 10 years for Trotz. Two for Carlyle and none since 2008, so ya he might have.

Last April Trotz was not resigned by Nashville. Last May Carlye was extended.

No, Shanahan and Nonis thought we had a coach.

Barry Trotz - not quite good enough for the Leafs last summer.

cause Shanny's keeping them away for their own protection...

Leivo > Puempel. + Loov and Granberg.
Well yes he is, but with a little grit.
He's no pretty boy.
Ya, he's progressing better than I ever thought he would. And the higher the skill level of his linemates, the better he'll look.
McDavid is unbelievable at stripping the opposition of the puck. Half his scoring chances seem to come when he's steals the puck and takes it down the other way.
Magically the face mask comes off

"They're going to call that.." Jees - you'd hope so
ref blew the whistle the second the puck touched Price. SOP.
yup and one of those shots was McD on the Forsberg breakaway goal.
@Cameron19 @ingy56 With his scoring abilities his lack of points on the scoresheet since he got traded probably went unnoticed.

@LyGuy @Knights2Leafs he's got 2 apples today. ????

@Luke_R @Knights2Leafs LOL - I just meant neither McLellan or Hitchcock seem to accomplish much in the playoffs. Getting there - okay.
Nylander coming back down to earth? Only a ppg in the playoffs.
@Luke_R He's no Hughson.
@Luke_R Well if the choices are McLellan and Hitchcock that's a tough one.
@Savo43 @Knights2Leafs @Luke_R @ProfessorRance still 2 - 2
@Luke_R @ProfessorRance it's on 432 in London
What are our potential spots? 25th but we could move to 24th if some team with less regular season points than Nashville wins the Cup?

Hey Bud, sorry with all the heavy traffic this morning I'm tying up the site.
The Horvat goal was originally not called and was only declared a goal after time ran out and there was a 10 minute review. Really exciting night. Unfortunately the same night of the infamous Toronto - Boston game 7. As I left the Knights game incredibly pumped, we heard the Leafs were up 4 - 1 in the 3rd. What an incredible high.
And then I arrived home......
Since the Marlies are playing the Griffins, here's a Mark Hunter story. Andreas Athanasiou was in his second season with the Knights in 2012 and was showing an incredible amount of skill. He seemed like a bigger, faster verision of Kadri. He wasn't a team player and apparently had "character issues" At the end of the season the Knights didn't hesitate to trade him out of town (Barrie) for draft picks.
That very next year Barrie and London met in the OHL final. Barrie was up 3 - 1 in games and Athansiou played a big part in building up that lead. The Knights came back to take it to a game 7 and Bo Horvat scored with less than a second to go for London to win.
They will try to work with problem players like Schremp and Aliu but won't hesitate to get rid of their problems.
Yeah, firstly I'm not sure the statement is true and even if it is, it likely has less to do with original thinking and more to do with resentments from his days as head of Player Safety.
Mind you, that might be more my bias than theirs.

No worries - it sounded like such a douchey comment that I was surprised it came from Nonis. Glad it wasn't.
Hey BB - thanks for posting the article but i think this comment is Simmons, not Nonis.
NFW that was icing.

Bodie I can see staying - veteran team player etc.
Quit it - you're putting me to sleep.
Bob pronounces it " I thin I see you"
Marlies undefeated with Rupert x 2. : )
lol - Athanasiou

Those big guys go down awefully easy
Yes - lucky they have so much skill.
lol - they can't pronounce Anthanasiou's name properly.
EDIT: I just read my post and I can't spell Athanasiou properly
Holy bejeepers, Willy Ny looks pretty sturdy and thick in HD. Size is not going to be a problem for this young man.
@Burtonboy @WereRiellyDoingThis @Mitch_S2 @Archie Vanlanda Quite true. London teams have always been built on speed and skill. Obviously they've had some bigger players but generally (Patrick Maroon) but generally Knights teams have been smaller that the opposition.
The Knights gave up a ton to get Victor Mete last year - 5'8" dman, who was awesome by the end of his 16 year old year.

@traNsplantEdneWfie Both were hard contracts to trade at the TD so that doesn't mean much. Top 2 dmen were probably more valued than a top line RW. The fact that there was interest for Dion at the TD is very positive in terms of his value going forward.
4 days, 3 hours ago on Dave Nonis: “I don’t think they have to move Phil Kessel. I believe the baggage that comes with Phil is overblown”
@Jon5200 He earned his vacation by getting rid of he the Clarkson contract.
Oh wait, he's the one that signed him and let Clarke MacA go. Thanks Dave and RC.
How did we get softer after losing Mason?
1 week ago on Toronto Maple Leafs’ Kyle Dubas on Brady & Walker
It was strange but I'm kind of guessing Gunnar's not complaining now. Same as MacA, Kulie, Grabbo. And Mason and Colborne.
Gunnar doesn't take pucks to the face.
Domi is likely going to be a good top 6 forward but Marner is a better player now as an 17/18 year old than Domi as an 19/20 year old. Marner raised Domi's numbers rather than the other way round.
I think he will go back and they are weak down the middle so I definitely see him playing C.
True enough. I've seen Strome for a few games and even then it's hard to gauge much less a guy like Hanifin who I've never seen.
