Let me know when Randy's fired
@deedrag @Komas Taberle @wendelsfist @BPsotka
exactly - it was lucky that the hit that took out his ankle didn't kill him. Then when he came back from injury he got rocked pretty good again. He's not built like M. St. Louis.

Sure. All the 4th liners on LA and Anaheim are Kozun's size.

@leafmealone @Knights2Leafs @wendelsfist
So Shanny pulls Nazem aside at the beginning of the year and says develop your two way game which Kadri is now doing and then says: "Good work bud (no pun intended), you're now a valuable trade tool"
22 hours, 15 minutes ago on Thursday Mashup: Polak returning, Shooting for Seven
lol ... and you don't think Kadri's group knows that? If that was what Nonis was really doing, he's more likely to drive the asking price up.
Nonis to Kadri: "We'll let you play 1st line with Phil if you sign for 6 x $5M."
Deal is done.

At his size Kozun has to be good enough to play in the top 6 or if on the third line exceptional. He's not quite good enough for his size and way too small to play on the 4th line.

It's a step in the right direction but there's still a long way to go. To be a contender we have to get the shots down to no more than 30 per game and GA down to at least 2.5.
If the players continue to buy into Horachek's systems, I think we can do it.

Likewise. I hope the coaches have been showing them replays of the 6 - 2 drubbing the Sabres gave us.

Plus/minus may not be the be all and end all but look at this years additions:
And Leo was +4 before we started building up our goal differential over the last 11 games.

The one difference this year on the shots is they do seem to string a couple of games in a row where shots are reduced. So they do have it in them. Just need to work on consistency.
What's a little more promising to me is that their GA is sliding down. If we can even get to the 10 - 15th spot in GA we'll be where we belong - top 5 in the conference.
Wow, and on one that was questionable at best.

Can the Ducks go an entire game without a penalty?
Holzer has only played about 10 games so far. Give him a chance.
they don't - that's why they're always drafting first.

Maybe the shots wouldn't be so lopsided if there weren't any refs.
JVR - Bozak - Kessel need to get less minutes.

I think RC has to cut back the minutes of the 4th line quite a bit.
The Leafs might be due for an off game, but Andersen playing his 20th straight might also be due for a off game.
@dlb, just dlb
Bolland and his $5.5M per year could have.
2 days, 23 hours ago on Tuesday Mashup: Ducks in town
Maybe, but the other 3 lines seem to be playing the way Horachek said he wanted them to. 5 man units in all 3 zones.

@Burtonboy @Knights2Leafs @Kessel81
Not only could Carrick play in that spot, but McKegg was starting to roll this year before injury. Like Carrick he's tough as nails in the corners - he wins his fair share of puck battles.
3 days, 3 hours ago on Monday Mashup: We’re Streaking
exactly. Especially given they won't play more than 7 or 8 minutes.
As you know Cam Nonis fucked up the cap which hindered signing him and Kadri to longer deals.
We don't need any more contracts or to add to our cap. We're good with what we have. Maybe something shakes out at the TD if we're still rolling along.
Santo was really good at centre for us and has been really great on the wing. If we have all hands on deck maybe he goes back to 3C and Holland 4C. That's some serious centre depth.
@MaxwellHowe @Mind Bomb
Kelly is really a throw away and Marchand is good but not great. They'd have to get one really decent dman.
I haven't been keeping up. Is there talk of Hall wanting out of that hell hole cause he's the last guy I'd trade. I still think going forward Hall, RNH, Draisaitl and Nurse are their building blocks.
Is it possible to just have that line sit and wait for PPs
4 days, 16 hours ago on GDT: Game #30, Los Angeles Kings at Toronto Maple Leafs (5 p.m., SNO)
and the answer is no pushback.
First 2 minutes will tell us whether the Leafs come out pushing back.
I agree but all dmen seem to have it in their DNA to try and to that. Stupid really.
The scary part is the officials are back in the dressing room congradulating themselves on making the right call.
well as long as line one doesn't make Randy cringe, that's good enough for me.
Not reviewable but you were so certain you were right Greg. But alas you werent'.
Agreed. Clarkson was best with Santo as his centre and Leo on LW.
4 days, 17 hours ago on GDT: Game #30, Los Angeles Kings at Toronto Maple Leafs (5 p.m., SNO)
In fairness to Lups, he is playing with Clarkson on his line.
Hey - you called in 6 - 2. The Leafs have their 2 :)
I don't think he can till Jan 1?
It's his birthday - extra happy.
Nice shoulder check by Gards there
Our 4th line is PP1
4 days, 18 hours ago on GDT: Game #30, Los Angeles Kings at Toronto Maple Leafs (5 p.m., SNO)
A Doughty - Anbody would be unreal
Gretzky. Kessel might score 60.
Their line might end up -50 but it would be incredibly fun.

Subban! He's a Toronto boy and Patches is as obnoxious as they come.
for this year and next.
Rubbing off on Franson - did you see Cody slam Datspuke to the ground?
It all started with Sam Gagner who was nowhere near ready for the NHL. At least with a team like Boston Seguin wasn't thrown in to an impossible situation and look what he's becoming.
