I credit him.  For letting Horachek take over the systems.

Honestly, he is so monotone that it almost puts me to sleep.  The only time he shows any excitement is when the Leafs are scored on.

It's truly amazing.  The only solace is they will NEVER win the SC with that squad so every year they will eventually lose which is always a special day.

Agreed, but after seeing Tucker for so many years on the buyout it really pisses me off to see Gleason there for this year and 3 more after.

Your comments in the Notebook and below about bad contracts is dead on.  Lots of good things and bad things over the last several years but what frustrates me more than anything is that before last year for the first time in a long time we could have cleaned up our cap issues only to dive right back in.

I know Booth didn't look that great in the preseason but the one game I saw live in London you could tell that he's a NHL quality skater.

But that's the good news.  Lupul and Kadri have played way better than their point totals would indicate, so when they start clicking the team will be that much better.

I seem to recall another Canadian team that got off to a fast start last year and managed to go 2 - 12 over the last 14 games and miss the playoffs.

Clarkson has had a very good start but it worries me that last night he was back on the 2nd line.  Lupul and Kadri haven't had a decent RW for awhile.  Last night they got Kessel (not too shabby) but that leaves JVR and Bozak without a RW.  Clarkson belongs on the 3rd line with similar type players.

I agree about Santorelli being a really good fit at RW but he's such an integral part of that 3rd line I don't know how we can move him.

Apparently management can't assess the value of their prospects very well either, or more specifically Carlyle. You have no better idea how Colborne will turn out than anyone else - just more blathering about how he has overachieved.  He overachieved last year and he's overachieving this year. I just wish he or Holland or Ashton would overachieve for the Leafs.

The fact is Carlyle chose Ashton over Colborne last year and now won't play him and now he's giving Holland who cost us quite a bit very limited minutes.

Agreed, we should trade him to Calgary so he can play with that other piece of shit Colborne.

We've got so many prospects in our systems we can just keep giving most of them away without consequence.

Remember when we wanted Kadri on the 2nd line to give us two balance scoring lines. Who knew that putting Bozak on the 2nd would do that.

The Holland you saw last year started in the top 6 and was playing with other good players. This is what happens when you play well under 10 minutes a night.  RC slowly sucks the life out of you.  Glad you saw it live but on TV I thought he played one of his best games of the year.

The guy that hasn't looked good at all this year is Ashton, :)

Buffalo is showing what happens when you spend most of the night chasing the puck. Eventually you break down. We've seen that happen too many time to us.

I'm not blowing anything up.  Next year:

Lupul     Nylander   Kessel

JVR       Kadri         Leivo

Leo        Santa       Clarkson

Winnik   Holland    Carrick

Bozak in the lazyboy

Ashton still waiting to play his first game in 2 years

A real top 6 with real 3rd and 4th lines.
